For Dreamfans, dropping game four of the WNBA Finals 62-67.
Fox 5's Hernan Gutierrez joins us live near State Farm Arena.
Hernan, how are the fans feeling out
there? Obviously pretty disappointed.
Yeah, Rob, a lot of the fans out here
were definitely pretty bummed about the loss.
It's something that you can kind of just feel in the air,
a little lull in the energy.
But, you know, Atlanta bounces back.
There's still plenty of things going on around here.
The Hawks, of course, hosting their home
opener against the Rockets later tonight.
And Atlanta United also hosting a home game against the Chicago Fire.
Now, the Dream got off to a pretty slow start.
They trailed by 16 points at the end
of that first half against Golden State.
They did have a big second half, though,
outscoring the Valkyrie in the last two quarters.
Ryan Howard led the team in scoring with 19 points.
Despite that late surge from Atlanta,
it just wasn't enough to make the comeback in the fourth quarter.
Fans, though, tell me they're still hopeful
and excited for the future of this final series.
We're definitely going to win that and come back
on game six, and that's game.
And then we're ready for the parade. Let's go.
Game four energy was there.
Very energized.
I think Dream got some work to do.
A lot of turnovers and a lot of threes, missed threes.
So working on that, I think we could be better.
Now with the series tied to a piece,
Atlanta will get to host one more home game Thursday night,
but it isn't exactly clear where that game will be played.
They haven't worked out those details for Game 6.
Before then, though, the Dream will travel back
to the West Coast to face off against the Valkyries for Game 5.
That'll tip off again Monday night at 8 at night.
Reporting in downtown Atlanta, Hernan Gutierrez, Fox 5 News.
Keeping the dream alive, Hernan. Thank you.
