Fox News thought the Maria Bartiromo story was finished. Yeah, apparently nobody told
Maria's lawyer. You see, Fox says that Maria is gone after more than 12 years, but
attorney Brian Friedman says reports that she was fired are false and says that they have
receipts and witnesses. Huh? Receipts and witnesses? Oh, beautiful. Nothing says routine
business decision quite like everybody's suddenly needing lawyers and possibly a courthouse. And
then of course, Peter Navarro made things even weirder. So Navarro says Maria sent him
internal Fox business guidance involving coverage of President Trump's claims about China and
the 2020 election. And Navarro says that he passed it higher into the White House. Wonderful.
Now we've got Maria Bartiromo. We've got Fox News. We've got President Trump. We've got
Peter Navarro. You got the White House, China, lawyers and Dominion 787.5 million dollar
Fox settlement sitting quietly in the corner saying, hey, please, for the love of God,
don't say my name. Now, meanwhile, President Trump publicly praised Maria and suddenly people
are starting to wonder whether she could end up behind the White House press secretary podium.
Now, of course, J.D. Vance has pushed back on that speculation, but I want to hear from you.
Should Maria Bartiromo be President Trump's new press secretary? Y'all let me know because
we're following the receipts, the witnesses and this gigantic unanswered question. What
actually happened inside Fox? Subscribe right now. Apparently, we're going to need detectives
for cable news. And if you enjoy the show, hit the like button on the way out. Totally appreciate
you. And if you need free Medicare help through chapter, check out the description down below.
There's a link for the chapter as well as their phone number, 909-563-8279. The average senior
is saving about eleven hundred dollars a year. And, you know, you've been thinking about calling
them. So just go ahead and call them. Finally, get it off your list of to do. Right. Anyway,
Fox News just announced Maria Bartiromo is done. Twelve years gone. One press release,
except nobody told her lawyer. You see, Brian Friedman comes out swinging and he doesn't do
the polite corporate statement thing. He says reports that she was fired are absolutely and
unequivocally false, according to the Daily Beast. And then this is the part that really
should worry Fox. He says they've got receipts and witnesses, receipts, witnesses. Folks,
this is not a breakup statement. This is this is like opening arguments. Welcome to Sunday
Morning Futures. I'm Maria Bartiromo. I know that my viewers expect something from me and they get
a shocking and abrupt exit after more than 12 years at Fox News. Maria Bartiromo fired. And
now we're learning why. According to multiple reports, she betrayed Fox by leaking network
secrets to the Trump administration, an alleged violation of her employment agreement.
Only thing that follows you wherever you go, wherever in the world, whatever industry
is your reputation. So you have to cherish it and protect it. The incident in question
happened in July after President Trump's primetime address to the nation, according to media watchdog
site Status. The election system we have dangerously exposes and really exposes like
levels never thought possible to hacking, exploitation and foreign interference.
The report says Fox issued written instructions to staff not to cover Trump's election conspiracies.
And when Maria was pressed by Trump officials, she shared the confidential directive
and even a text message. It is what it is. Maria's last on air appearance at Fox was on August 9th.
A source for Media Eye reports she was isolated from her co-workers and escaped to the Hamptons
almost like she was undercover. But now she's speaking out through her high profile lawyer,
Brian Friedman, who recently represented Justin Baldoni during his It Ends With Us battle against
Blake Lively. There's a moving target always on the other side. He tells ET reports of Maria's
firing are irresponsible and unequivocally false, adding we have receipts and witnesses despite the
network's announcement of her departure on Thursday. The president is speaking out, too,
calling Maria a total professional and a true warrior. And I always tell younger generations
coming behind me, do the right thing. Don't try to do the right thing. Don't say you're going to
do the right thing. When that dilemma comes at you, you know what the right thing is. Do it.
So here's where we are. Fox says one thing. Her lawyer says the complete opposite thing.
Somebody's about to have a very bad deposition. And by the end of this video, you're going to
understand exactly why Fox News wanted this story buried faster than a Nashville hot chicken
sandwich after a 5K. Now, I want to go ahead and start pulling the thread. Oh, and by the way,
guys, this is exactly why I created the Ron Yates Report, because Maria Bartiromo is out at Fox.
That's the headline. Great. Now what, right? What happens if those receipts come out? What happens
if this turns into a legal fight? Well, what happens to Fox if Maria takes her audience
somewhere else? Oh, and what should you be watching before everybody on television suddenly
starts becoming an expert three days later? This is exactly what I break down in the Ron Yates
Report. What happened, why it matters, and what I'm watching next, because knowing the news is
a whole lot more useful. Especially when your money, markets, media, government, or decisions
could eventually get caught up in the ripple effects. Oh, yeah. So, don't show up after the
buildings on fire and ask who smelled smoke. There's a link in the description down below
to join the Ron Yates Report right now. Don't just watch what's happening. Watch what happens
because it happened. Now, if we rewind back to July, President Trump, he gives a primetime speech.
Election integrity, 2020 claims, China's fingerprints all over it.
were kept out of the presidential briefing. These were briefings I would get almost every day.
Everything was kept out that was of importance. One email among intelligence analysts admitted
that they had, quote, deliberately massaged the presidential daily briefing to withhold
information regarding Chinese activities related to the election. Another official inside the
FBI wrote that she was running, quote, a shadow government, unquote, to keep intelligence about
China's election meddling from becoming known and to keep it away from the honorable press.
Other officials who witnessed such efforts perceived the motivations to be blatantly
political. Recently, we found significant numbers of burn bags in formation, and this is a group of
bags that were used to destroy information given by President Barack Hussein Obama
to be burned. It was supposed to be burned. These bags were supposed to be at a different level by
different people incinerated and checked, but it never happened. Maybe we got lucky. We believe
this was not done on purpose, but rather through gross incompetence of the people that was supposed
to burn the bag. Maria Bartiromo wants to cover it. Makes sense. It's literally her show. It's
got her name all over it. She even books Peter Navarro, President Trump's own senior trade
counselor, to come on and talk about it. But then Fox Business VP Ralph Giordano, he sends a message
to her producers. Skip it. Don't touch the speech. Now, why would a news network tell its own host
to avoid covering a presidential speech about elections? Oh, right. Dominion. 787.5 million
richer? Yeah. Courtesy of Fox News' checkbook and of course, Smartmatic's lawsuit is still
very much so alive. So, somewhere in a Fox legal office, somebody just saw a 2020 election in China
in the same sentence and pretty much reached for the antacids. Guidance sent. Segment scrapped. But
Maria didn't just quietly comply. No. So Maria, she gets the memo. Don't cover the speech. Does
she just shrug and move on? Nope. She takes a screenshot. Sends it straight to Navarro,
because apparently at Fox, internal guidance has the security level of a group chat about Sunday
brunch. Navarro reads it, says in his own words, Fox was censoring the story. Then he does the one
thing that Fox executives were praying nobody would do. He passes it up the chain, straight
into the White House. A senior official picks up the phone, calls Fox leadership, not exactly a
friendly chat. Now, think about that chain for a second, okay? Fox business executive to producers
to Bartiromo, to Navarro, to the actual White House. This is not a leak, folks. This is more
like a game of telephone that ended with Fox's CEO getting an earful. Now, send this video right
right now to somebody who thought that this was just another network drama story. Oh, it's not.
This is a text message that made its way all the way to West Wing. They need to see how far this
thing actually goes. Trust me. Now, I want to talk about why one text message sent an entire
news network into full-blown panic mode. $787.5 million, okay? This is almost a billion dollars.
This is over a quarter of a billion dollars at this point. This is what Fox paid Dominion
voting systems to make a defamation lawsuit go away. Not a parking ticket, not a rounding error,
nearly $800 million because of what got said on air about the 2020 election.
Indeed, $787.5 million. It's one of the largest settlements or verdicts in a defamation case
in history. This is a huge win-win for Dominion. You have to remember this.
But Fox doesn't admit any wrongdoing. They don't have to apologize.
Well, they don't have to apologize. You know why you go to court and hire lawyers?
Lawyers go to court in civil cases to win money. That's their job.
Or their client. These lawyers represent Dominion.
They do not represent the American people. They do not represent democracy. They do not represent
Joe Biden and the people who rightly feel that his election was delegitimized by Fox.
That's not their job. Were you surprised by the timing?
I'm only surprised by the timing that it took so long. We lawyers like to say that cases settle
on the courthouse steps. Yesterday you had two things happen. You had a jury in the box
and the judge had asked for a special master to investigate the activities of the lawyers for Fox.
Yes, it settled, but it should have settled before those depositions,
before Rupert Murdoch, before Tucker Carlson.
Because we learned so much in the deposition.
And that's all out there and it's out there for Smartmatic. Smartmatic $2.7 billion lawsuit,
not only against Fox News, against other news people and individuals. They have a blueprint
now. They just have to follow the roadmap. And guess what's still sitting on the table
completely unresolved. Smartmatic, still suing, still very much alive, still very much
terrifying to anyone in Fox's legal department. So when Bartiromo wants to cover a presidential
speech mentioning 2020 and China in the same breath, somewhere a Fox lawyer's coffee cup
just starts vibrating like a phone on silent. You can almost hear it.
Yeah, absolutely not. We are not doing that again. Now this isn't protecting the truth.
This is about protecting the checkbook. Now I do want to talk about Brian Friedman just for a
second. This is not some random guy off the street with a business card that he printed at Staples.
No, this is a lawyer who shows up when networks are about to get a very, very expensive week.
Here's what really gets me. The New York Times uses anonymous sources constantly. MSNBC too.
Nobody bats an eye. Sources familiar with the matter, we've all heard that. Sure, fine,
whatever, print it, right? But Maria, Maria names her source, on the record,
to a sitting White House advisor. And that's the thing that gets her thrown out the door?
Are you kidding me? Like she named her source? It's funny how that works, right?
So Friedman isn't hiding behind some vague statements. He's promising documentation,
witnesses, you know, the kind of stuff that shows up in the courtroom, not a press release.
So Fox better hope that those receipts stay in a drawer somewhere because if Friedman is bluffing,
but if he's not bluffing, Fox may have picked a fight it didn't need to have.
So while Fox is busy renaming TV shows like it's a corporate witness protection program,
President Trump does something that Fox definitely wasn't expecting. He goes public,
praises her, calls her a true warrior. Not exactly the reaction you want when you're trying
to quietly memory hole somebody. Think about the optics here. Fox? She's no longer with us.
Trump? Actually, she's one of the best in the business and I'm saying so publicly.
This is not some subtle disagreement, folks. This is the sitting president of the United States
publicly siding against a major news network in a personal dispute here.
Fox spent decades building a relationship with Trump's audience and in one week,
they somehow managed to look like the network that pushed out the one host
that the president himself just vouched for. You cannot buy this kind of bad press,
even if you try. Well, actually, at $787.5 million a pop, apparently you can.
Here's why Maria Bartiromo even wanted to cover this speech in the first place.
Trump's July address wasn't just the 2020 election again. Oh no, it dug into China's
fingerprints on American elections. A Chinese national gets caught voting illegally. A judge
lets him walk despite him being about as much of a flight risk as a guy holding a plane ticket and
a fake passport. But then guess what happened, right? Anybody can guess. He vanishes. Turns up
back in China, courtesy of a fake passport and some very helpful intelligence friends.
But then the smaller matter of 50,000 fake driver's licenses allegedly tied to Chinese
operations meant to move through the exact same systems that verify who gets to vote.
President Trump released his CIA files backing up the broader concern. So,
when Fox tells Maria don't cover the China angle, she's not chasing a conspiracy theory.
She's actually chasing a story that President Trump himself just gave a primetime speech about.
It's funny how don't air this only applies to some speeches. Meanwhile, over at the White House,
reporters smell blood and water. Somebody actually asks Vice President J.D. Vance the question
Is Maria Bartiromo about to become press secretary? Of course, J.D. Vance laughs it off,
says he doesn't think so. Very warm, very complimentary, very much not an actual answer.
Now, folks, when a vice president responds to a direct yes or no question with a chuckle
and a compliment sandwich, this is not a no. This is a not-yet-but-ask-me-again-in-three-weeks
kind of response. Politicians don't laugh off things that are completely impossible.
They laugh off things that are inconveniently possible and they're not ready to announce yet.
So, take it for what it's worth, guys. J.D. Vance didn't close the door. He just
very gently left it cracked open right as the internet was already measuring the podium for
Maria Bartiromo. Now, I want to zoom out for a second because Maria isn't exactly a trailblazer
here. Tucker Carlson, gone. Bill O'Reilly, gone. Trish Reagan, gone. Lou Dobbs, gone. Glenn Beck,
gone. And he's been warning about this stuff for years. At what point does this stop being a few
unrelated personnel decisions and start looking like a pattern? Fox didn't lose its biggest
personalities because they're bad at their jobs. They lose them right around the moment those
personalities get a little bit too honest for the legal department's comfort. You see what I'm
saying? It's almost like clockwork. Get big, get bold, get gone. And every single time, Fox says
basically nothing. Business decision. Parting ways. Corporate speak for please stop asking.
Meanwhile, the audience notices every single time. At some point, a network built its whole brand on
saying what other networks wouldn't say. Now, it's starting to look a whole lot like the networks
it used to make fun of. It's not just Trump himself weighing in either. Eric Trump jumps
online with his own public show of support for Maria Bartiromo, and it doesn't exactly stay
quiet. In fact, racks up thousands of shares within hours. Meanwhile, Fox's official response
to all of this? Silence. A press release nobody can seem to agree on the meaning of, and some
quietly renamed TV shows. Yeah. Uh, yeah. So on the one side, you've got the president of the
United States calling her a true warrior and President Donald J. Trump's son publicly backing
her. But on the other side, you've got a network that apparently can't even confirm whether she
still technically even works here. Look, I'll let you decide. I'll let you guess which side looks
more organized right now. One team is showing up. The other team is issuing statements that
contradict their own lawyer within 24 hours. This is not a PR strategy, folks. This is a PR
emergency with a press release stable to it. Now, I want to be honest about something.
Somewhere out there, half the internet has already mentally moved Maria into that White
House podium. Nameplate ordered, seating chart updated. Nobody even waited for an actual
announcement. And look, guys, is it really a stretch? Maybe. But ask yourself why so many
people jumped there instantly. She's spent years asking the tough questions. She's got the
president publicly praising her. She's got a vice president who wouldn't rule it out. And she's just
proved in real time, mind you, that she's not afraid to hand internal documents straight to
the White House when something smells wrong. Now, folks, this is basically a job interview
that already happened by accident. Now, do I know if it happens? No. Does JD Vance know?
Also no. Apparently, based on that interview. But when the president is calling you a warrior
in public and his own son is out there hyping you up, you don't need a formal announcement to read
the room. The room already spoke. So, where does Maria Bartiromo actually go from here?
Well, Newsmax would roll out the red carpet. OAN would probably do the same. Let's be honest,
guys. In 2026, she doesn't even need a news network. She could just build her own show.
She could start her own podcast. Her own everything. And never even ask Fox's permission
for anything ever again. So, here's what I'm hoping for, though. Not the scorched earth,
burn it all down routine. Not reinventing herself into something unrecognizable. Just Maria being
exactly who she's always been. With a bigger microphone and zero corporate lawyers whispering
in her ear about dominion settlements. Fox spent decades building her audience. They don't get to
keep it just because they own the building she used to work in. Audiences follow people,
not the logos. So, if Fox thinks this ends quietly, they clearly haven't been paying
attention to their own ratings lately. And look, guys. If Brian Friedman finally opens that mythical
folder marked Receipts, I don't want to be standing there three days later going,
well, folks, apparently something happened. Very insightful. Thank you, Professor Breaking News.
This is exactly why there's the Ron Yates report. I use it to go one step beyond the headlines and
tell you what happened, why it matters, and what I'm watching next. Especially the developments
that could affect your money, your business, the information you're getting, or the decisions you're
making. Because this Maria Bartiromo story, it's not finished when Fox changes the name of a
television show. The next move is the story, the receipts, the witnesses, Maria's next platform,
Fox's response, and whether consequences come after that. Now, if you want that informational
advantage instead of discovering everything after social media has already beaten it up to death,
go ahead and use the link in the description down below to join the Ron Yates report.
Don't just watch what happened. Watch what happens because it happened. Because sometimes the
headline is the ending, and sometimes it's just where the trouble starts. We'll see you on the
other side.
