Meteorologist Jared Pippenberg on this Sunday morning, waking up on a fairly quiet note.
There will be a chance for some showers and storms, mainly in the western part of Minnesota,
although you can see a few showers up north this morning. Although the majority of us will end up just staying
partly sunny here throughout the day. Just being that there may have some sunshine, but other times it'll be fairly overcast.
It's been kind of the scenario the past few days,
starting off overcast, especially in the Twin Cities, and the sun comes out later on.
But we'll see how much sunshine we end up getting. So a lot of activity across parts of the Dakotas.
That's just kind of loading up and spreading into Minnesota here.
So any chances of storms here today, and into the first half of Monday, generally stay to western parts of Minnesota.
Now there's Monday midday. As we head toward the close of the day, a front will approach.
I think that'll spark a few showers and storms, but Twin Cities, we may not see any stormy activity until
after dark on Labor Day. And then a few storms may remain as we head into your Tuesday forecast.
So just looking ahead, warm and humid for today are up to 83, filtered sunshine in the metro. Storms will be to the southwest,
although a few sprinkles and showers are just kind of lingering in northern Minnesota. Staying humid overnight tonight,
breezy for your Labor Day, with some late day storms
on Monday. Winds tomorrow will be out of the southeast. There's hints of maybe some gusts up to around 30 miles per hour.
All right, your Sunday forecast, topping off the lower 80s for the majority of us will be kind of humid out there.
Some sunshine, some clouds, really depends on what time of day you're out and about.
Here's a look at that seven day forecast. Humid today, breezy tomorrow, warm on Tuesday for those folks heading back for maybe a shortened work week.
And then the second half of the work week, beautiful. Upper 70s to lower 80s with sunshine.
Pretty easy second half of this forecast, but I would say late Labor Day into Tuesday, a few showers and storms.
Some folks would pick up a little bit more rain than others, while Twin Cities looks to stay dry here on this Sunday.
