Welcome back. We're looking at current temperatures across the board, mainly in
the middle upper nineties. Although Austin did reach 100 degrees today, 96
now Rockdale, 94 Giddings, 96 Lagrange have a couple of showers moving into
Fayette County from the east. We'll see if they hold together and impact the
eastern part of our viewing area for this evening. They'll probably taper off
once the sun goes down. Also a few showers and storms west of Gillespie
County out there past Harper and west of Kerrville and Fredericksburg. As we
look at our feels like temperatures currently with the heat index factored
in 104 the reading at downtown at Camp Mayberry 102 at Bergstrom 103 the
feels like temperature Bastrop all above 100 from San Marcos to Lockhart
Lagrange and Giddings out west, slightly drier and it feels more like
the mid upper nineties but not much cooler than what it is for everybody
else. The next 24 hours upper seventies by six a.m. We're back in the nineties
tomorrow. I do expect more clouds and what we saw today. So with that in mind,
temperatures tomorrow, hopefully about two, maybe three degrees cooler than
what we saw today. Plenty of humidity again and there are no weather alerts
locally at this point. A couple of storms though trying to move in as I
mentioned before around Fayette County. If they hold together showing up
around College Station in the Bryan area and north of Houston currently
and these are very spotty. That's the activity we had and we had quite a bit
earlier out there in the western hill country, but it's fizzling out to with
the loss of daytime heating. Tropics are fairly quiet, although we have a
wave moving in and that's why tomorrow we're gonna have a slight chance of
showers and storms again. As this little disturbance kind of creeps to the
west, I think our rain chance tomorrow will actually be higher than it was
today, especially in the afternoon. As you can see, we're in the widely
scattered category that puts us 20 to 30% for tomorrow afternoon. They're
hit and miss not everybody getting one, but if you do, maybe a quick quarter
to half inch of rain or slightly more and some lightning strikes and gusty
winds beyond sunday. It looks like our rain chances go back to isolated and
we're just have to wait and see. And then towards the end of our seven day
forecast, rain chances start to go up again by next weekend. Something we'll
watch, but no cold fronts at this point. A few showers still possible this
evening, but more than anything, just some clouds and plenty of humidity.
This model wants to break out showers and storms in the morning and early
afternoon. So if that's the case, we'll see a round of showers. Maybe the first
part of the day and in the early afternoon, they'll be moving to the
west. Otherwise again, it's clouds. We're looking at seventies for our
morning lows into the eighties and nineties by the lunch hour and mostly
nineties for a high temperature tomorrow and here in Austin 76 isolated
showers this evening, but I think they go widely scattered tomorrow and will
be hot, but not quite as hot. I hope 97 and the seven day forecast still
doesn't feel like fall meteorological fall. Uh, it just doesn't look like it
does this summer. So we got upper nineties to near 100 almost daily once
we get through tomorrow and we'll just wait and see if true first day of fall
is actually coming up on september 21st. I think it is.
