Mindfulness with Leia - 04 Aversion

Not Making It Worse. Today, we will explore how to let the pain just be pain. Allowing discomfort without adding extra resistance. Sometimes life is just uncomfortable. The body aches, the mind is unsettled, the mood is heavy,
and that’s already enough to carry.
But often, without even realizing it, we add more on top. We resist the discomfort by tensing up around it and then criticize ourselves for feeling it at all.
The clenching, the judgment, and the mental commentary all make everything harder.
Today’s practice is about catching that second layer and noticing when we’re piling on an extra layer which in a way ends up piling on more pain.
There’s the sensation…
And then there’s our reaction to it.
Can we stay with the raw sensation without the added story?
You don’t have to like what’s happening.
You don’t have to fix it.
You just don’t have to make it worse.
If anything uncomfortable is still here whether physically, mentally, or emotionally, see if you can stay with it, without tightening or pushing it away.
Just notice it. Breathe with it.
Let the discomfort be just a sensation and nothing more.
