What's tonight going to bring, Scott? Yeah, well, we have severe thunderstorm
watches posted south and west of Philadelphia. But the good news is, I
don't think the coverage will be as quite expansive as it was last night.
Any of those thunderstorms, those south and west could be severe, severe
thunderstorm watch for Chester County, all of Delaware, extreme south Jersey
watching severe thunderstorm warnings right now outside of Baltimore. So
keeping tabs on this activity off to the west, most of it will likely stay
to the south and west. So that's the latest trend. That is some good news.
But we do have those active severe thunderstorm warnings just outside of
Baltimore until about 11 30. Take a look at this. The greatest risk for
severe weather that is to the south and west of us now, of course, on that scale
of 1 to 5 level to Wilmington points south and west. The greatest risk over
the next several hours. You can see that trend is continuing through
Delaware, parts of south Jersey through about two o'clock, three a.m.
And the morning, those temperatures for the overnight upper sixties to low and
mid seventies. We'll go 74 degrees tonight for Philadelphia. That's almost
10 degrees above average for this time of year temperatures north and west for
your Friday, mid eighties, upper eighties throughout south Jersey into
Delaware feels like temperatures will be approaching the mid to upper nineties.
The forecast for the shore looking lovely for your Labor Day weekend, the
unofficial into summer 78 degrees on Saturday, mid seventies for Sunday into
Monday. That 70 forecast from the Weather Authority shows those
temperatures below average for your Saturday Temple tailgating football
weather 82 degrees for the high temperature, low humidity Sunday, 77
degrees low eighties by Monday, low to mid eighties Tuesday into Wednesday of
next week, and those temperatures start to spike as we get toward next
Thursday. But then take a look at next weekend. We're in the upper seventies to
around 80 degrees. New information is coming in on that severe thunderstorm
watch. But right now the trend is for the worst of the weather to be south
and west of Philadelphia will monitor this over the next several hours.
Severe thunderstorm watch, though, for these areas until about two a.m.
