Two things changed since I filmed this. The code I say in the video, JAMESFREE100, is retired, so use JAMES30 instead for 30% off. And the $5.50 a month I mention is an old price. Multilogin Pro is $11 a month billed monthly, or $85 for the year. There is also a free plan with 5 profiles.
Reddit is one of the last places online where you can still reach a lot of the right people without paying for it. It is also the fastest place to get your account shut down, because the thing that gets you removed is almost never the post itself.
So this one is the whole approach: where the traffic actually comes from, what gets you removed, and how to post so the subreddit wants you there.
Multilogin comes in on the account side. It is an anti-detect browser, so each profile runs in its own isolated environment with its own fingerprint instead of everything coming from one browser.
Reddit is a powerful source of free, intent-based traffic because users actively seek solutions and recommendations. While highly effective for long-term growth and SEO, the platform is aggressive toward self-promotion and multiple accounts. Success requires a value-first approach and strict adherence to community rules to avoid being banned.
Reddit is one of the last places online where you can still get free traffic
without paying for ads.
And I've been digging into how people are actually doing this right now without
their accounts getting banned.
And the account side is actually way more brutal than people tell you.
So here, here at all this start to finish. So first off, why Reddit?
Because unlike most other platforms,
people here are actively searching for answers and recommendations.
So when people are on Facebook and you show them a Facebook ad or something or
you post, they're not actually on Facebook. Like, Oh my,
wonder what businesses there are. That's not why people are on Facebook,
but on Reddit,
most people are actually asking a question or looking for a
solution or looking for help on something,
which makes it a great place for businesses to go to reach people.
I mean, the people who are viewing these, you know,
subreddits are people who are actually looking to take some action right now.
If you go onto Reddit and just search for like, what should I use for X?
Fill in the blank.
You'll see real people asking those types of questions and you'll see real
people answering those types of questions.
And one genuinely helpful comment can actually send it traffic to
a website for months because these threads actually ranking Google too.
When Google's looking for the answer to certain questions,
a lot of times it'll pull it from Reddit.
So not only are you getting the Reddit traffic,
but you're also getting the Google search results traffic.
So Reddit is about as close as it gets to free compounding intent based
traffic. It's great traffic source, but here's the catch.
Reddit is aggressive about multiple accounts and about
promoting yourself in any way, really.
And they are very harsh on having multiple accounts.
So if you're needing multiple Reddit accounts for one reason or another, you know,
I have one for presence,
one for research and one for a specific community that I'm a part of.
They see those things and they don't like it. They ban.
So let me know in the comments,
if you or someone you know has ever been banned on Reddit.
I have many, many times for me,
usually when I've been banned or shadow banned,
it's not because it was something I posted.
It's because I logged in to multiple accounts or I logged into the same account
from two different places. That's another one.
But whether you're doing marketing research or building a few communities,
the moment that you run several accounts from the same browser,
the same IP address, you are at risk.
So tool that I am a big fan of to help with problems like this is called
multi-login, but you can set up all these different profiles.
They each can get their own proxy. So they can be from different countries,
different IP addresses. When I give them names, like I have Reddit main,
Reddit niche research, Reddit community mod.
Then when I want to do something with that one,
I can just spin it up real quick and here I am. And it's not a VPN.
It's not an incognito trick. These are genuinely walled off profiles.
So each one has its own browser footprint,
its own IP address and you can run them in parallel. So I can have, you know,
several of these open at the same time and it's no problem.
It also does mobile. So you can do browsers,
but you also can spin up actual Android phones or not simulators,
but Android phones. If you're needing to do something, you know,
like on Tik Tok or something that's mobile, mobile only.
So if you are running more than one Reddit account or you need to access to more
than one Reddit account, go check out multi-login in the description.
James free 100 is the promo code that you can use. Pretty.
It's pretty affordable. It's like $5 and 50 cents a month is what I pay.
But if you are wanting traffic from Reddit, here's the method. Here's what,
here's what I do. And honestly, this is what I've been building recently.
I haven't been doing this for 10 years. Honestly,
I did not see Reddit as that good of a place for traffic up until, you know,
maybe a year ago. So I've been building this. It's a work in progress.
But first off, find the subreddits where your people already hang out.
So think about what your business, who is your target customer?
Go find the subreddits where those people hang out. So again,
I have my Husky e-commerce store that you might've seen in other videos.
So where are they going to hang out? Well,
the probably the sub Reddit Husky would be a good place to start.
This is my customers. This is where they hang out. And then number two,
this is where people,
what usually happens is people jump in and they start just promoting themselves.
They want the sales so bad. They just hop in here.
It'd be tempting for me to hop in here and Oh,
buy things from my Husky e-commerce store.
But that's not actually what you should do in business at all.
What you do is provide value first.
So just get into the subreddit and actually just reply to people and just add
value and don't reply just for fun. Like, Oh, that looks, Oh, what a cute picture.
That's not super helpful. Provide actual value.
Look at the problems people are having and maybe even do some research and solve
their problems and provide value.
Thing I've learned in business is that when you provide value,
money follows money follows value provided.
A lot of people go for the money first without providing value and it doesn't
work out. You become a scammer.
What happens when you really make money is when you provide the value,
you focus on how can I provide value? How can I solve people's problems?
And then the money will come after that.
So in the ratio people who succeed in Reddit talk about is nine helpful value
contributions before you post anything promotion about yourself and you keep
that ratio. So nine helpful things to one, you know,
more sales promo thing and number three,
when you do mention your business or what you build,
always make it part of a real answer. Never just an ad. Okay.
People are not interested in just this ad,
but if you can include your business as part of an answer,
then it comes across a lot better. And then number four,
this is finally read each subreddits rules before you post. Okay.
A lot of them have rules against self promotion and things like that.
So just follow the rules. If you don't want to get banned,
if you do want to get banned, post the same link everywhere,
upvote your own stuff with your other accounts,
create multiple accounts and use those to upvote your own stuff. Cold DM people,
ignore the rules, faking engagement. If you do want to get banned,
those are the ways.
So this is not as scalable as something like Facebook ads. You know, if I,
if a Facebook ad is working,
I can go from $10 a day to a hundred dollars a day and pretty much 10 X what
I'm doing. You can't do that in Reddit. It's very manual.
It's going to take some time,
but you can think of each of these as like a seed that's being planted because
some of the answers to these questions have been on here for six, seven,
eight years and it's still driving traffic.
So pick the right subreddits, keep yourself separate, follow the rules,
keep your accounts separated, follow the rules, post value first.
We'd love to hear in the comments if you've had any success with Reddit as a
marketing engine, as a marketing place, but appreciate you guys very much.
Shout out to multi-login. It's I use multi-login every day.
Been a big part of my workflow and helped me out quite a bit.
So shout out to them. Appreciate you guys all for watching.
God bless you all and have a great rest of your day.
