I Want Vanlife Full-Time… But Life Has Other Plans

Today I'm not travelling anywhere exciting. I'm just spending the day in my van.

The last six months have been really difficult, and lately I've been struggling with feeling low and overwhelmed. I'm currently fostering, which means full-time vanlife isn't an option for me right now — even though it's something I desperately want.

So today I packed up my laptop, got in the van and gave myself a change of scenery.

This isn't one of those perfect vanlife videos with incredible campsites and beautiful sunsets. It's just real life: working online from my little van, talking about where my head is at, and trying to figure out what I want the next chapter of my life to look like.

I love fostering and I wouldn't change what I'm doing, but sometimes two things can be true at once: you can love the life you're living while still longing for a different kind of freedom.

Maybe one day this little van will be home full-time. For now, I'm taking the days I can get. ❤️
