Police search for suspect after deadly Seattle shooting

to police are still searching for a suspect after a deadly shooting in a first Hill apartment building last night. FOX 13 Sam Campbell live there now and Sam, you've seen a lot of stuff going on outside this apartment building this morning. What can you tell us? That's right. We have been watching as investigators walk in and out of this apartment complex right here all morning. Uh, and this is now 10 hours after the 911 call came in. The medical examiner just took the victim away about an hour ago. So still a very active scene and part of the reason maybe because it appears the man was shot inside an apartment. Now we do not know whether it is his apartment, the shooter's apartment or how they even know each other if they even know each other. But we do know that that suspect is still on the loose this morning. The last update from police instructing the public to avoid this area near Eighth Avenue and Marion Street. That was around eight p.m. Last night when officers found the man dead with multiple gunshot wounds. Now, an interesting detail that I've learned the 911 caller told dispatchers the man was dead, not just that there was a shooting. So officers and medics get here minutes later confirmed the man's death, but no arrests are reported still as of this morning. So now this investigation turns into a manhunt, any surveillance camera that we can access like from the apartment building or other businesses are being canvassed by detectives. So any evidence that we're able to look at, we're going to. So we don't know the motivation here or anything about the circumstances leading up to the shooting.
