We have what's called a water year,
which starts on October 1st and goes until September 30th.
Of course, a new water year just started,
and we're getting a very lackluster start to that as well,
with only eight hundredths of an inch of rain so far for the month.
We typically average almost four inches
of rain for the month of October.
We are so far off of that.
All right, here's a look at your radar right now.
We have high pressure overhead today.
What that's going to do for us
is bringing us some morning clouds, some afternoon sunshine.
Today's high temperatures are going to be back into the upper 50s,
but we're starting off the day in the 30s in a few outlying areas.
Bellingham, Olympia, Centralia all in the 30s to start our day.
For yard work today, for football this evening, looks fantastic,
especially as we get into the afternoon hours.
We are going to be back to sunshine,
folks, with highs in the mid to upper 50s.
For the central sound, south sound will be into the mid to upper 50s,
close to 60 down towards Olympia.
And for the north sound, we'll be looking at mid to upper 50s
mostly sunny skies coast and the strait will
be into the 50s for the most part still waiting on
some interesting weather i do have some
on sunday sunday it's a complicated forecast we have a low
pressure system that's going to be bringing some rain
to a part of our region but right now it
really depends on where that's all going
to line up i think we'll have a better idea tomorrow
models are coming into better agreement saying
that that low is going to be a little farther
away from seattle so most of the shower activity
is going to be out over the olympic peninsula and
coast and we could be mainly dry
or just see a few light showers on sunday especially in the
morning hours then we dry out for the evening again watch
the forecast again tomorrow uh things
are probably going to come into agreement
a little bit better by then monday and beyond we're back to
drier weather and look at how consistent
these temperatures are going to remain this is right
around average for this time of year.
We're going to stay that way all the way through next Thursday.
