Tapping the 10-a on this Friday morning. So good to be with you. Good day, D.C., Maryland, Northern
Virginia. A zip trip Friday. Thank you so very much for joining us. Good to see you,
guys. Good morning. Happy Friday. Feel good Friday. Get that. It is. Every Friday is a feel
good Friday. It's Friday. Does it feel good Friday? It is a football Friday. Yeah. First
home game tonight, which is crazy because it's still August. But yeah, season is upon us.
About to look forward to. Yes. No. There is. Okay. So yes. I mean, look,
anytime football is in Northwest Stadium, it's basically their home opener, right? But you're
not going to get J.D. Five. You're not going to get Terry McLaurin. You probably won't get
Stephon Diggs. You're going to have to wait a little bit longer. You are going to get the
football. Feel the atmosphere. You're going to get the grills. You're going to get a cold
beverage and you're going to get fellow football fans. And if we win, we're going to the Super
Bowl. Yeah, that's true. Commanders fan. Listen, our Super Bowl is our zip trips and we're out in
Haymarket this morning. And by we, I mean, the whole team is out there. I mean, this is like
the best, best, best dressed group of people you're going to find. Hi, guys.
Good time. Quickly, before we move on to these well-dressed gentlemen, who we got here?
Of course, I had to find the docs and y'all are going out here immediately.
One of the locals here brings Chase out and he goes to Jazzercise. Remember that Jazzercise class
I was telling you about earlier? Yeah. Well, he also goes to Jazzercise. It's a little workout
Okay. So we always like to have a little fun out here and we didn't realize that we were
every Friday we could have well-dressed rattlesnake, but we had no idea we're
going to have a well-dressed William here. William, say hi to everybody again.
So I guess between the three of us, we're going to be the judges. Who do we think is
best dressed here? Rattlesnake, show us your stuff. Give us a little move. Yeah, there we go.
Okay. I think the only way to decide this is a dance-off, right? It looks like a tie to me. All
right. There we go. Down for just a second and it was gone. I wish I did. Okay, good. You guys
both did a great job. William, you're a local, right? Yeah. We'll go by and see your place
afterwards. You guys are both wonderful. Thank you for coming out. Rattlesnake, you got a quick
shout-out? Yeah, a real quick shout-out. I want to give a quick shout-out to DJ Dirty Rico. Happy
birthday, brother. And also a shout-out to Calvary and Dr. Woo. All right. William,
any shout-outs? Yeah. My friend Tucker lives over here. Yeah. Okay, good. That's a great shout-out.
I promise we have an hour of this coming up. We'll talk back inside to you. I'm a little
more concerned about Tucker going over to William's house or Jacqueline taking the dog
home with her. That's a toss-up right now. I wasn't sure what would happen if Tucker got
into the dance competition. Yeah, well. Oh, I think we kind of know. Yeah, yeah. But he's
holding on. I think we know. And we might find out. Stick around throughout the hour. We'll see.
Let's get into what's trending now at 10 a.m. Lionel Richie, music legend, throws a major shade
at Usher and Chris Brown. Guy, this one's for you. Lionel Richie currently on tour with Earth,
Wind and Fire. During a recent stop in Phoenix, he took a moment on stage to take some shots
at the joint R&B tour that Chris and Usher are on. Lionel Richie's 77 years old now,
believe it or not. But let's just say he did not hold back. Take a listen.
They tried to do something new. We didn't go to jail. Now, clearly, he's not talking about Usher,
but it does seem like he was poking fun at Chris Brown's long record of run-ins with the law. But
instead of getting mad, Breezy took the joke in stride. Clapped back on Instagram with a few
laughing emojis, calling Richie unk, saying, we love you. Paw, paw. Guy, what do you think?
With all due respect, the Commodores are one of the best. Earth, Wind and Fire,
according to Billboard magazine, the best group of all time. With that being said,
Lionel, you messed up on that one. Oh, by far. That is someone who is now jealous,
I would argue, of who's coming up next. You're taking away your shine. You're a king.
Why diminish yourself and or belittle yourself to even say something like that? And then for Chris
Brown, who is really one to clap back for him not to do so, shows that I think for the first time in
a long time, he took the high road. He doesn't typically. That's why he's always in trouble.
I mean, the guy's got a really long rap sheet of very violent crimes against him.
Countries don't want him in. And here he is having a moment on the stage. So people still
love to listen to the music. I like that Chris Brown took the high road on this one. I don't
know. I mean, to me, if Lionel Richie is saying that to his fans or fans of Earth, Wind and Fire
than in the audience, maybe they might be more to agree with him than somebody who is a younger
generation. Do you think there was something that instigated this to begin with that he went on
stage to do that? Is there more of a back story probably? The amount of money that tour has now
generated, I'm making reference to Usher and Chris Brown, over 100 million dollars already. And so
what are you know, what is he doing right now? And this is a man who brought the best collaboration
of all time. We are the world. You know, it's all behind Lionel Richie. And so and it's just
disappointing in my opinion. You didn't have to say that. It used to be that the Legacy acts and
I'm throwing Lionel Richie in this because he's 77 years old. The Legacy acts could charge more
money for tickets because their fans would be a little bit older and could theoretically afford
to pay more for the concerts. But now all the money is coming in from the younger singers.
Yeah. Right. Whether it's whether it's Chris Brown and Usher, whether it's Beyonce and Taylor
Swift or whether it's Morgan Wallen, like these are the expensive tickets because there are a lot
of stadium shows or big money. So I don't know. Maybe you want to get in touch with younger fans.
Maybe it's the younger fans are to spend more money these days than the older ones. Well,
I think the games also changed a lot on us as well. Right. It's like you look at the money
that's out there just in, you know, like in professional athletes, the athletes today are
making 20 times more than any athlete back in the day. It's just the marketing, the advertising,
where they're being out there. A lot of it has changing. But you could be also one of those
legends that gets on with a younger guy and collaborates maybe a little bit. Yes, exactly.
Yeah. You do that. But you're right. I mean, there's a lot of Hall of Famers in sports that
are not happy with the money that the kids are getting. Never going to be Hall of Famers are
making these days. A piece of TV history just broke auction records this week. The iconic purse
carried by Estelle Getty on the Golden Girls sold for nearly two hundred thousand dollars. The most
expensive Golden Girls prop ever sold. Getty famed by Julian's auctions. At least they do a
lot of the celebrity auctions. Getty famously bought the bag herself at a thrift store to use
on the show. Now, an anonymous super fan in West Virginia has that purse. They say they watched
the comedy with their grandma. So this is somebody who was younger and has money and even has a
Golden Girls tattoo and now spent nearly two hundred thousand dollars to literally hold the
bag. Well, she's probably never going to hold it. She's going to put it on display. That reminds me
of grandma is what she's going to say. Is there anything, though, from any show, movie, sporting
event, anything? Now, if I gave you two hundred thousand dollars, Taylor, which is never going to
happen, but hypothetically, if I gave you two hundred thousand dollars and you could have
any type of memorabilia, is there something you would. Oh, man, it would be something sporting
sports related, for sure. I can't think off the top of my head. Probably someone's gold medal from
the Olympics. All right. Former competitive swimmer here. Julie, what about you? I'd want to
take the cash and go on a vacation. I'm trying to get in. Not with the backbone. Thank you. Yeah.
This is the light of it. We want something that is utterly ridiculous that you don't need. I love
that. But you have to take something different, like Fred Astaire or something like that. The old,
old Hollywood. Old, old Hollywood. I appreciate the classics. Fair enough. Jacqueline, I think,
would just take every dog available in the world and a farm for them to all live on.
If I know her well, that's my trivia answer when it comes to what would Jacqueline Matter do with
all that money? What do you think, Jacqueline? Oh, my goodness. Absolutely. I'd be getting one
of every single dog. And then, you know that I how I think there. So we're out here in Haymarket,
Virginia, of course, for our zip trip final hour here. And we've got George Stewart,
Gainesville District Supervisor. Glad to have you here with us this morning. Thanks for having me.
So tell me a little bit about what you do here in the Haymarket area. Okay. Yeah. So Haymarket
is a town in the Gainesville District here in Prince William County. And as an elected official,
as the Gainesville District Supervisor, majority of the job is about constituent services.
But what we also do is we make decisions about land use, about where things can go,
things can't go so that we're always in the business of placemaking. Right. And I think,
though, you know, like for me, like for what guides me and for what I do, it's really at the
end of the day about being a good neighbor. And I think that, you know, whether you're from dog
catcher up to the president of the United States, I think being an elected official, holding any
office where you represent people is always about being a good neighbor and making sure your
neighbors are good. And representing those people with your full heart. I love that. And one thing
we noticed when we were coming in here to Haymarket, you've got the quaint charm of a
little small town, but you are starting to see some of those bigger developments, the expansion
and the growth. So you often are incorporating part of that in your day to day life. We are,
but we have to do it in a smart way. We have to do it in a way that makes sense so that that
hometown feel remains in perpetuity. Absolutely. Yeah. Okay. Well, we're doing a little hometown
trivia and I feel like if anybody's going to know anything, it's going to be George over here.
Okay. So I'm going to ask you a few questions and then you get to tell me if you know, I'll give
you a few options too. Gotcha. What was the year the town of Haymarket was established? Do I need
to give you options or do you know this one? 1799. Yes. I was like, I don't think I need to
give you any options on that one. You have that one nailed. What structure in the town served
as a district courthouse? That would be, it's right behind us. St. Paul's Episcopal Church.
Okay. There you go. Right back in here. Does Haymarket Day fall on each year? Haymarket Day.
All right. Haymarket Day. Yes. So it is the third Saturday of every October. It sure is.
We have a parade. It's awesome. What is Haymarket Day? We have a parade. It's awesome. It runs the
entire length or width of Haymarket depending on how you're looking at it. Is it significant
for Haymarket Day? Is that Haymarket is an awesome place to be. There you go. Hey, we'll take it.
Who was the founder of Haymarket? William Skinker. There you go. Okay. And last but not least,
what is Haymarket's slogan? Haymarket's slogan is everybody's hometown. I love that. And you can
feel that when you're out here. You can really feel that. Yes. I'm not originally from here,
but this is, this is home. Yeah. We love it. And so much so it's home for you. We've got one
little friend here. Home for somebody else. Arabella. Oh, I think she's a little nervous.
Okay. She's waving from the side. There you go. Hi, sweetie. Anyway, your daughter here,
her hometown. Her hometown. Right. Yep. And, you know, my wife and, you know, our family comes
and descends here. This is kind of like the homestead for, for our family. Everybody comes
and everybody loves Haymarket. Awesome. George, thank you so much. We appreciate it. Thank you
so much for having me. I really appreciate it. Thank you. Okay. Nailed it on the trivia too.
Good evening to you guys. We are live this morning for our zip trip in Haymarket
and it's time to try some ice cream. Who doesn't love ice cream? So this morning,
I have a little bit of help to introduce you guys to a few local businesses. I have
Claire here. Claire, how old are you? Three. She's three. She's so cute. This is mom,
Anna here. And Claire's going to help me try some ice cream this morning. What's your favorite
flavor, sweetie? Chocolate. Okay. Chocolate. All right. We'll see if we've got some chocolate
lined up here. So it's time to introduce you to a few businesses. So I want to start with
you, Stephanie. Tell everyone your name and the name of your business. So I'm Stephanie
Sabia from Cookies and Cream Shop. We're right down the street here in a little blue house.
Okay. Love it. What makes you all feel special, Stephanie? Well, we've been voted best ice cream
nine years in a row in Gainesville Haymarket. We have our cookies, hence the Cookies and Cream.
Wow. And obviously Cookies and Cream is our top seller, but chocolate and vanilla are right in
there. Oh my gosh, Claire. We've got some chocolate. We're going to come back through
and taste. I want to make sure we introduce you all to everyone we have here. Come on,
Claire. Let's go for a walk. All right. Hi, guys. Good morning. Tell everyone your names.
I'm Karen Campbell. I'm Preston. Nice to meet you. Family owned business. Love it. Okay. So
tell us quickly about your business and something special that you all have to offer. Okay. So we're
Swirly's Treats. We were the OG when it came to ice cream shops here in Haymarket. We were
originally known as Pickle Pops. So we've been around for two decades serving families in the
community. And so we have a secret treat that everybody's addicted to here, cult-like following
is our Black Raspberry Soft Serve. Oh, Black Raspberry Soft Serve. Okay, Claire. We're going
to have to come back and try that. You agree? All right. And one more for you. Good morning,
sir. Good morning. Good morning. Tell everyone your name and tell us about Brewster's. Good.
My name is Raul Fortes. I'm the owner of Brewster's Real Ice Cream in Haymarket.
We are a couple of the unique things is we own our own dairy. We can do 150 different recipes.
We make ice cream every day. And then we love being here at Haymarket is where it all started.
That's amazing. So many options for ice cream and obviously award-winning options as well. So we're
going to go back down here and we're going to now it's time to taste some ice cream. Claire,
are you excited about this? Cookies and cream and mom and Anna here. Okay. So again, you were
telling us about the cookies. One more time. The flavors here and we're going to try vanilla
and then cookies and cream and chocolate and then our ice cream plate. Oh, wow. Okay. All right.
I'm going to let you try the chocolate. I'm going to have some cookies and cream. Let's
enjoy this together, Claire. All right. You ready to take a big bite? All right.
Oh, that is so good. How is it? She said, how is it? You say good. Awesome, right?
She said delicious. Hey, I can definitely second that. This is really good.
Wow. All right. This is kind of caught my eye right here as well. Cotton candy. Cotton candy
with a waffle cone? Yep. So all of our flights come with a piece of a waffle cone. Nice. Okay.
So take me through the flight one more time. So this is s'mores. We've got coffee, cherry,
blueberry, the cotton candy and mint chocolate chip. So good. Look, I'm going to put this down.
I could eat the whole flight. Right. All right, Claire, let's go back down the line. We'll come
back and get your chocolate ice cream. Okay. All right. So we'll sit this here and let's take a
walk. Okay. All right. So we're back. Hi, Claire. You got your sugar this morning? Yes. All right.
So what should Claire try? She loves chocolate and I'm open to trying anything. Okay. So we've
got our chocolate. It's a rich Philadelphia chocolate. We've got our peaches and cream.
If you like your cream, you want to be healthy. And vanilla. Of course, we can top it off with
classic. Oh, I think Claire will love the sprinkles. So this is, again, Swirly's treats.
Would you like some sprinkles, Claire? What's your favorite? Chocolate? Yep. All right. I'll
get the peach. That looks great. All right. So I'm going to try that. There you go, sweetie.
All right. Okay, Claire, are you ready to try more chocolate? Here, let's look at the camera.
Okay, let's turn around this way, Claire. All right. You ready?
All right. Here we go.
Oh, this is delicious. Right. We use all natural colors and flavors. We source it out of actually
a vendor in Maryland and another one in Colorado. So it's a quality product. It's not synthetics.
Wow. I love that. Natural flavors too. This is the real deal as well. Very good. Thank you,
guys. You're so welcome. All right, Claire. Let's go for a walk, sweetie.
All right. I'm going to come back for this. Okay. What do you have for us that we're going to try?
All right. We have a couple options here. So we have our gooey butter cake. That's caramel,
butterscotch with vanilla ice cream, a little fromage in there. And with some cake pieces,
we have our death by chocolate. It's seven different chocolates from a mild to a dark
chocolate. And it just touches all the senses. We've got a peach milbuff. This is our oat milk.
We have a huge non-dairy population. Oh, good to know. So this is peaches with raspberry
ripped into it. And then our standard flavors, which is our chocolate ice cream and then our
vanilla ice cream. Oh, my gosh. This looks amazing. I'll try the butter cake. Come on over
here. All right, Claire. We're going to bring Mommy in. She's going to help us eat some more
ice cream. Would you like to try one of these? I've got extra spoons there for you.
I'll take the cake. And do you want to try the death by chocolate? All right. She's still got
her chocolate over here. And again, this is Brewster's real ice cream. Let me get some of
the caramel. It's so good. That's delicious. All right. Is it good? Yes. It's so good.
A big thank you to these amazing businesses. Be sure to check them out. Cookies and Cream,
Swirly's Treats, and Brewster's here as well. We'll be right back after the break. We're going
to enjoy some more ice cream, right? All right. See you after the break, guys.
OK. Welcome back. Welcome back. All right. I heard music. Yeah. Welcome back. So many
great groups here in Haymarket. And I'm joined by a wonderful group of ladies, Nova Life. Right,
Meredith? Yeah. Nova Life. We're a brand new wellness center. We just opened almost two months
ago. And we have red light therapy, cryotherapy, infrared saunas, PEMF, compression, and IV
therapy with one of our wonderful nurses. They're all registered nurses. Everything to make you
feel absolutely fantastic. Your absolute best. Wow. And the red light therapy really works?
100%. Solid science for years and years. Really? Everything is science-based. We can back it up
with research studies. I've heard about it. I've heard about all of this stuff. But somebody my
age could probably use it. Come on. Get a free service, Tucker. All right? Come on down. Yeah.
I'm going to be limping over. We'll take care of you. OK. Good. And you guys are located nearby?
Yes. We're just next to the traffic circle, the Haymarket Post Office, and that office park.
Well, congratulations on your new business. That's wonderful. Thank you. Thank you. Yeah.
Also, this is what Nova Life can do for you.
Oh, wow. That was amazing. I won't be doing that at the end of the show. Thank you. OK. Come on.
We're over here with the food pantry. Excuse me. Come on. What's your name? Eileen. OK. And
obviously, you guys are doing good work to the community. We're doing great work in the community.
And for 21 years, we've been doing great work. OK. And there's a need for food. There's a need
for volunteers. What are you guys looking for? We're looking for food. We're looking for money.
We're looking for volunteers. Not necessarily in that order. We're going to help 50,000 people
this year with food once a week. And we're all volunteers. I love it. OK. More information. How
can they find you? They can look at HaymarketRegionalFoodPantry.org. OK. Wonderful.
Thank you. Thank you for giving back to your community. OK. Quickly, I'm going to do weather.
I've got 30 seconds to tell you. Well, it's sticky and hot and the rest of it out here. 81 degrees.
It's not raining yet, but we do have some rain showers in the forecast later this afternoon.
Quick look at the satellite and the radar. Rain showers working in from the north and west. Well,
I guess we'll just go straight to the forecast for this afternoon. I do want to mention we are
going to get some showers intermittently here this afternoon to keep the stickiness around.
I think most of the showers are out of here for Commander's Kickoff at 7 if you're headed out to
the stadium. It should be sunny and bright for the weekend, especially Saturday. Plans on Saturday
look good. Some late day storms on Sunday. OK, I'm going to break. That's the latest from here
in Haymarket. Have a great trip. It's me. I'm going to turn myself in. All right. Breaking
news right now. This is the woman who apparently was defacing the World War Two Memorial yesterday
and made the videos claiming that it was it was she who did that. You just heard her say she's
and apparently she did. District Court this morning turned herself in. The World War Two
Memorial yesterday had some graffiti that was sprayed on it. There was some type of
material that was dumped into the fountains that caused them to become very frothy.
And as you just saw there in the video, the woman who claims to have done that said she turned
herself into district court this morning. The U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia,
Jeanine Pirro, identifying her as Melissa Ferris. She says Ferris now faces two felony
charges and faces up to 10 years in prison. So that's the latest as far as what we saw from
the defacing of the World War Two Memorial. The woman posted a different video yesterday saying
that it was she who did it. And then again, you just saw the video where she said she was going
to turn herself in. Nonetheless, that's the latest. And if there is new developments, we'll pass it
on to you. In the meantime, we've got to get back out. As you just quickly saw, it is time for our
junior reporter, one of the young folks in the community, turn the cameras on to us. And in this
case, us is Makia. I hope you're ready, Makia. It's so cool. We were talking about some of your
interests, psychology, music, visual arts. Tell everyone what instrument you play and why you love
it so much. I play viola and I've been playing it for five years and I truly love it because of the
personality it has. I can play high, I can play low and just every part works. That is such a
cool hobby. I love it. All right. So I'm going to take my anchor reporter hat off right now
and I'm going to put it on you and feel free to ask me whatever you like. All right. How long
have you been working for Fox? I've been with Fox almost three years, but I've been in the business
now for almost 15 years. So it's been a long time. That's so cool. How did you get into this?
Oh my goodness. So I majored in journalism media studies. I went to school in New Jersey,
minored in a foreign language, Japanese. And I told myself, I want to be a storyteller. I want
to be on air. And so I got into the business almost 15 years ago. And it's just been a joy
just meeting and connecting with so many communities across so many different areas.
And it's just such a treat, especially to do it in my hometown as well. Oh, you were born here?
Yeah. I'm a DMV girlie. Oh, perfect. What made you choose to want to learn Japanese?
You know, at one point I told myself, I'm going to be this international correspondent
and, you know, maybe be a part of like a, it's a jet program over there. We can teach English,
but also still do what I love. Anyway, that never happened. I ended up staying in the U.S.,
which has still been an amazing experience. So now I just use it whenever I can, but
it's definitely a language. If you don't use it, you lose it. So
it might be a little rusty, but I still know a couple of things.
So yeah, I just said hello. Where were you born in the U.S.? Like right here?
Yeah. Yeah. From Maryland. So I'm from Prince George's County, which we like to call gorgeous
Prince George's. It's not too far from here. So yeah, it's just been really cool to connect
with people like yourself. You're doing such a great job. I know this can be a lot under the
lights, but you're killing it, girl. I'm so proud of you. So tell me about more of your interest.
I've been drawing for about as long as I can remember. I've got into Colgan for my visual
arts, and I've been working really hard to expand my horizons just beyond drawing into
painting and sculpting. That's amazing. What kind of art do you like to draw?
I like to paint humans. I feel like they're very interesting because they just show so much
emotion. It also ties into my interest in psychology. I just like understanding humans
and how they work. That is amazing. You may have to draw a portrait of me. Am I portrait ready?
Yes, you are. You're beautiful. Thank you, sweetie. So are you.
Do you have anything else you want to ask? When you're ready,
I'll take the reporter hat and put it back on. It's all good. No pressure.
Did you have born and raised in Haymarket? I was born in Tennessee, but I've been living
here for about 13 years. So most of my life. Yeah. Okay. So you go back to school in two weeks.
How do you prepare for that? What advice do you have for all the other students who haven't had
a chance to go back to jet? Probably start sleeping more. I wake up at five. So, you know,
I got to get back in that sleep schedule. Yeah, that's an early morning. Do you want to guess how
early I get up before we get a break? Four? Three a.m. Yeah, it's a long morning. So we're in the
same boat almost. Well, Brooke, all the best to you. I'm so proud of you. Thank you. Great job.
It takes a lot of courage to get in front of the cameras and the lights, and I wish you all the
best. You're going to do amazing things. Thank you so much. You're so welcome. All right, Tucker,
hometown team, and we want to thank John C. Flood, who sponsors this event. And look, I got
these guys are great, by the way. Great guys. But we want to concentrate on all these amazing
players and their coaches. We've got the Virginia Soccer Association here. Please introduce yourself,
sir. Mike Denuso. I'm Joe Hall. Okay. And we've got amazing young women. We've got amazing young
men. We've got birthdays over here. Tell me about your program. Yeah. So we're a very competitive
program. We're located mainly in Long Park right around the way. Two very competitive teams. Girls
last year, a handful of them, we had age group change, but most of them had the success of
winning State Cup, which is a really big competition. Yeah. And our boys have a lot of
exciting things ahead for them this upcoming year. They're going to play some international teams,
just two really competitive groups. So excited for the year ahead. Wonderful. And you're pretty
passionate about the sport of soccer. Yeah, it's a great sport. Again, I think we have a fantastic
club. Great for anyone that's interested to come out, develop. We teach the kids a lot of things
outside just the game. So we're very happy, very proud of the product we provide. Okay. What are
the age groups that you guys are coaching? So this mainly out here is our Zone 1 program. So
these are U12s, but we have at VSA anywhere from U8 all the way to U9 travel teams. Wow. Sorry,
U19 travel teams. Wow. And primarily just in the DMV is where we're playing? Yeah,
mainly within the DMV. We do have some of our top teams here. We'll go down to Richmond,
go down to North Carolina, Florida, et cetera. Wonderful. And the goal here is a lot of these
young women and men will eventually be playing high school programs and that kind of thing,
right? Yeah. High school, college. Yeah. Wherever their path takes them. At this age,
we're more focused on just developing them and see where that goes. A lot of interest
in soccer after the World Cup. Are you guys finding the cell phones ringing a little more?
Yeah, no, no, for sure. I think we've had definitely a big uptick in terms of people
who want to participate all the way down to the recreation level. I think we can hopefully ride
the high from the World Cup and keep pushing, developing the love of the game here at the
grassroots level. Have you guys considered opening a program for men and women over 55?
Over 55? That's a small population there. We do have an adult league. I think they play on
Sundays at Long Park in the evenings. What are you laughing at over here? All right. Any special
shout outs to any of our players? I know we've got a birthday over there, right? Yeah, Avery right
there. Turns 11 today, so happy birthday. You got a birthday, boy. Come on, smile. All right,
for more information, where can guys find you? It's a website, so VSA Soccer. If you Google that,

Guys, the art of Italian ballet is coming here to Haymarket. And we've got a great
preview for you coming up after a quick break.
And I am with some beautiful ballerinas as well as Lorenzo with Italia performing arts. And you
are bringing the beauty of Italian Renaissance dancing right here to Haymarket. Yes, I am.
Tell me a little bit about your performing arts studio. Yes. So we opened one year ago. And my
vision is to really bring the refinement of the cradle of the Renaissance from Florence,
the 1400 century here to the children into the adults of the market because dances for every
age. I love that. So tell me a little bit about the young ladies we have here with us. They're
beautiful outfits. And what programs that they are enrolled in at your studio? Yes. So they are
she has been with me for six years. So now she's now she's 13. Okay, almost 13. And she basically
is a great ballet dancer, acro, lyrical, jazz, and modern. And she's representing the marzipan
of the Nutcracker that we are going to have in December. Okay, Nutcracker in December,
one of my favorites. Yes. And Ashley, this is Wesley. And Ashley instead, she's dressed as the
dewdrop for the Waltz of the Flowers in the Nutcracker. And she has been enrolled since we
That's amazing. So for you, bringing in that Italian dance style here to this area, as opposed
to maybe some of the other forms of ballet and art out there. Why was that important for you?
But for me, because we are very, we value the family and the value of the family. And we are
very, we like to keep a traditional, valued, family oriented art form. We are more into the
artistic side of the child developing the gift, like Michelangelo used to do with the David,
that he saw the piece of marble and he developed the David from the marble. My vision is to take
the gift out of these children, and to let them release them. I love the dance world. And you
said you're from Florence yourself, so you really know that art form and its true value. Talk to me
a little bit about your experience in Italy dancing as well. So Florence, I grew up walking
through the, you know, the David of Michelangelo and the Buonarroti and Botticelli. So it's all
about art, which is the gift inside a person to develop the gift. So I thought the dancer was just
a tool to, a technique to release the gift inside the person, to be, to set them free and to dance.
So for me, it's a very artistic approach. It's not commercial at all. We are not a commercial
studio. Children that come to me, they are children that the parents embrace this vision
and they really want to see the child set free with their body, with their emotion, with their
brain, into their gift. So, and this is how I was raised in Florence, doing this,
walking through the medieval, you know, medieval stones, the carriage that we still have, and all
the statue, and that's how, that's me. We were reminiscing on that Medici castle there.
Oh, I love the Medici family. They, you know, although the big battles, they kept discovering
the gift and then imparting and wanting to basically grow this, this glorious empire
that was the art that everybody nowadays come and stare and marvel at, which I'm sure many people
will do with your young ladies here as they dance. What does the enrollment look like? How can people
come join your classes? And I know you guys are still very new. Yes, we are new and they can just
come from, this Monday we are open from four o'clock on and they can come to try classes or
bring a friend and they can try every class they want and then they can decide. We have classes
running every day, Monday through Friday, and they are, you know, we are very welcome. And it's not
just ballet, you offer several other types of classes. We offer acrobatic arts, of course,
we are certified. The ballet that we teach is the Italian method, the cicchetti, because I grew up
learning this. I didn't know it was Italian cicchetti. And then, yeah, so we have acrobatic
arts and jazz and modern lyrical. And yes, so they can come and learn what they need to learn.
Lorenzo, thank you so much. We appreciate it. That's how you're performing. Are there
information there for you if you are interested in reaching out and maybe come out and see the
Nutcracker this December as well. Let's give it up for her and hand it over to you.
All right, welcome back. And we're having such a great time out here.
Proud to be wonderful. Haymarket, what a wonderful community.
And we're, I feel sad that we're wrapping it up here, but we got Ghosted Concepts. And your name
is? Carmen. Carmen. And? Isabella. All right. Are you guys related in any way? Yes, my daughter.
Aw, I'm so proud. Yeah. Okay, so Makiya came over right over here and said you guys have been voted
three years in a row best takeout here in Haymarket, right? That's correct. Yeah.
So tell us everybody about your place. So we started during COVID. It was one of these things,
we had an opportunity to come to this great town and start a takeout business. And we kind of went
from there. And then we also bought an ice cream parlor. So we kind of joined those two businesses
here. And we've been doing takeout and delivery ever since. Well, I love the name Ghosted
Concepts. How did you come up with it? Does it mean anything? Yeah, it does. So when we first
started, I didn't know what I wanted to do. So by ghosting the concept, it made me go to menus.
So when we brought a menu out, and if it didn't work, or if it did work, we built on it. If it
didn't work, then we went away, but the branding was protected. Interesting. So now we can go
everywhere. We can go wings, we can go lobster rolls, chicken sandwiches, Reuben's, wraps,
anywhere we want to go. Yeah, this is quite the spread. What do we have here? Isabella,
what's your favorite too? As you guys tell us what we have here. My favorite is definitely
the Spicy Chicken Shack Deluxe. That's a classic. It's probably our most popular one. Okay.
Our wraps are also super good. You can't go wrong with anything. There's a variety of
basically every type of fish. Is that a lobster roll? Yeah, I was going to ask about the lobster
roll. Yeah. So we do a lobster roll on the weekends while supplies last. It's a quarter
pound lobster roll, lettuce with butter and lemon on the side. What do you love most about being in
the community out here, Haymarket? It seems like you guys all know each other and everybody's
a lot of love with each other. Yeah, I think that's what it is. I think it's a small
community. We all connect. We all help each other out when we can. I think we're all everybody's
support and cheerleaders as well. I love that. Isabella, what's it like working with your dad?
It's definitely different than a person at a job that I am without him. That's wonderful.
You help out in the kitchen? Yeah. How did you help put all this together? I dress everything.
He was out cooking and I put all the sandwiches together once we got here.
Okay. I'm looking at the different choices of bread as well. What do we have right here? The
sourdough? That's a marble rye. It goes on our classic Reuben. We have a ciabatta that goes on
our premium sandwiches and we have a brioche that goes on our regular chicken sandwiches.
And then we have just a sub roll for our regular long subs. If I'm new, what's the one item I got
to order? Oh man. If you're going to start out, I either go with tenders or Nashville tenders.
I still say if I was in the room when Kane's got the check for all his things,
I think we would have got that check. Looks like you got to take on a chicken
and waffles. Chicken and waffles. And then we have this one right here that she said
that was the classic. This is the voted second best chicken sandwich in Nova for two years in a
row. That's our spicy Nashville deluxe. Oh my goodness. Okay. So what's the secret recipe here?
What's the secret ingredient with Ghosted Concepts? Because clearly you guys have something
really special going on. I think it's just love, passion. I come from the corporate world for a
long time and when we did this, we vowed to do it right and we didn't cut corners and we
tried to do everything the best that we can. All the sauces are house-made. We make everything
from scratch. We clean our chicken. We bread it. We fry it. We do everything in-house. So
I think it separates us from a lot of places. It's a labor of love because we put a lot of
time and energy into it. That's correct. I just wanted to know what we have here.
Barbecue, honey mustard, ranch, and then shack sauce. You have to try it. All right, what's next?
Do we have a concept for your daughter? She ready to open her own place? Well, she wants to be a
teacher right now, but I told her, I said, look, you do whatever you want to do, but when you're
ready, I'm ready. So I tell all my kids that whatever they want to do, let's do it. So let's
not waste time. Let's get it. All right. And so again, you guys are located. Let's show where
they're located. If you want to come out to Haymarket and drop by. You guys are, is that
correct? That's correct. So we got two locations, one in Haymarket and one in Manassas.
And you know what I'm saying? Just come out and check us out if you like some good food.
All right, love it. Go see concepts.com, guys. Thank you so much.
Incredible. Not a lot of dialogue in that teaser trailer, is it? This is Netflix dropping the teaser
for the political thriller Animals, which as you saw, has a really good cast. The music was very
suspenseful though, right? It leads into something's going to happen, right? It's directed, co-written,
and starring Ben Affleck along with friend of the show, Kerry Washington. Affleck plays an L.A.
mayoral candidate who, with his wife, scrambles to raise a ransom when their son is kidnapped.
Gillian Anderson in this as well. Stephen Yeun also starring in it. The film hits select theaters
and Netflix on October 29th. So Julie, are you going to go to selected theater to see it,
or are you going to be comfy on the couch with Netflix? This looks like a comfy couch Netflix
show to me, you know? I feel like it needs to be big action to get me out to the movie theaters.
I do love a good suspense, but I like the action with it. Maybe when the full trailer drops,
we'll have some action in there, too. More than just the music. We'll see. Well,
the star-studded music lineup takes shape, and American Horror Story icons return for more
scares, and new trailers are come packed with romance, rivalry, and suspense. Take a look.
