Are you not entertained?
Hey, everybody, Ben Handelman.
You're watching Fox 6 Now coverage, special edition.
It is World Series Game 1, and you probably just heard the cheers
as the Brewers get out of a jam again,
thanks to the arm of William Contreras.
We were told this would be a very low-scoring game, and guess what?
It's a low-scoring game.
The Brewers clinging to a 2-1 lead right now.
Hopefully, they can add some runs.
They're about to go up to bat as the Sausages
are racing in American Family Field
because it's the middle of the sixth inning.
I just want to show you some of the
feeds that we're following right now.
I'll keep the audio up a little bit.
That's American Family Field that you're watching here.
This is two-screen joy.
You can watch the game on Fox 6 on your TV.
If you're watching us from anywhere around the country,
just turn on your local Fox affiliate, and there's the game.
And then, as something happens,
you can watch all of the crowds here in Milwaukee just going bonkers.
That is the Deer District on your left.
Sam Kramer's hanging out in the Deer District
with all of these fans in the upper right.
That is Catalano Square, the Third Ward.
Those fancy people down in the Third Ward,
they have a huge watch party.
Actually, Fox Sports was broadcasting some
of their shows out of Catalano Square earlier today.
I've got another feed coming from, oh, this is lighting up for me.
Let me show you here.
That is, look at Kegels in.
They're going crazy down there at Kegels.
We've put a camera up there.
I don't think I have any audio on this camera.
I don't, but look at them.
They're going crazy in West Dallas as they
are seeing what has just happened in that game,
and they are loving it.
and they're dancing in West Dallas,
and you're seeing some of the crowds out there.
What's been kind of funny to watch here
on Fox Local is that all these cameras,
there's more dancing, there is, I mean,
all of these crowds come up at different times.
So, I mean, look at them in West Dallas.
They're cheering Let's Go Brewers, I believe.
I mean, I don't have audio on that camera.
Out there, this is, these guys get to see it first.
They have, like, a very minimal delay, it appears, on their camera.
So they're way ahead of the people out in West Dallas.
And they're settling in here hoping for some Brewers action.
So, man, how did we get here?
The Brewers struck early in this game, scored two runs.
And then Tampa Bay, it seems like they are clawing,
looking for that tying run.
And the Brewers keep pushing them back.
That's basically where we're at right now.
this has been just
so fun all throughout the area uh as there's just i mean we got crowds
everywhere we got people all over the place it's been fun
and this is a cool way to watch the world
series here on Fox 6 now we're literally i mean
our mantra here is if it's happening live you're
gonna watch it here gotta bring in my friend someone we've
been keep following checking in with
all night because I don't want
to say he gets nervous sometimes at these sporting events but
Durante I mean I know you I know you get the it's hard
to lower the blood pressure with you sometimes
so how are you feeling with the Brewers barely clinging
on here to a two-to-one lead and how
more importantly how's everyone feeling around you
first of all Ben I'm gonna need you to stop dragging me for a second
okay but i am i'm i'm just ecstatic you know
that the brewers are still in the lead but i want to
bring over Kevin here for a sec how you doing man
i'm doing great man all right so he has been here
watching the world series so far so Kevin can you just talk
to me about how the game has been so far
for you dude it's been amazing i got the opportunity to go to the berg
or the stadium to go watch it
like just on the big screen not the actual game
but just on the big screen and it was just the
best experience ever so what is it like here
at these watch parties you say you come to Zocalo
a lot of times for the watch party i was here
for the world cup every single mexico game and it was
just like the best experience ever
and people are still showing up here to Zocalo so this is my spot
to come to watch the world series game man any
other sport you always got to come to Zocalo now
the brewers are in the lead right now as they should
be um so how are we feeling about that
dude i'm so excited look i've never watched baseball
in my life i i don't like watching
baseball but the brewers is just
the most entertaining thing to watch so i'm so excited
man and i'm glad that it's the brewers
that are the ones that are in the lead absolutely well
thank you so much man i really appreciate
you all right have a good one thank you man
go brewers durante you're making friends out there
i'm making friends yes so that is some of the
stuff that we have been seeing all night just
folks really enthusiastic and even from someone
who says he doesn't even like baseball,
but he likes to watch the World Series here.
So, yeah, the energy has been kind of top-notch.
Even when something bad happens, those boos are pretty loud also.
So, yeah, this Southside crew right here, they're really into it.
I'm just looking at all of our watch parties
because this is kind of an important part of the game here.
The Brewers have runners on first base, two outs,
and Brice Turang, who is one of the Brewers' stars, is up to the plate.
So you may see people either get really excited
or really upset in a second here.
I haven't seen anyone leave Durante.
You really can't be left.
Two to one.
Okay, I'm sorry.
I just had to make sure brewers are still two to one right now.
Otherwise, this crowd may change its tune a little bit.
It looks like from even the last time I talked to you an hour ago,
like even more people have showed up there.
Is that the case?
Yeah.
So a couple of minutes ago, some folks did leave.
But it's like right when they left,
some new folks came in and then just took their spot.
So the crowd is not decreasing by any means, even with folks leaving.
There's always more people coming here,
eyes glued to this screen right here.
I've seen people kind of like bouncing around today.
I know some people were at the Bucks game earlier today.
And so maybe they were down at the Deer District.
And then they're heading down to different watch parties.
It's like all of Milwaukee right now
is somewhere outside watching this game.
They really are.
You know, obviously the Brewers are the talk of the town right now.
We were just at Pfizer a couple of hours ago,
and as some Bucks fans were leaving,
they said they were going to the watch party to watch the World Series.
So today is just sports, sports, sports with the Brewers,
obviously, at the forefront of people's minds right now.
I don't want to scare you, but a skeleton just walked by.
Do you see him? He's just to your right.
I saw him. He's looking at me right now.
I don't know if I should make eye contact with him.
Is that like a Mandalorian next to him, too?
It's like a skeleton and a Mandalorian.
And then behind you, what's this?
Is that person, what kind of neck?
Here, look behind you.
The other way, the other way, right there.
What is that?
Like a bold necklace?
It looks like, you know,
I'm just seeing the most off-the-wall costumes here.
I'm not even sure if you'd call that an accessory, really.
Yeah, folks there are extremely creative.
Okay, and I also thought that was a baby.
You know, for this game.
Okay, go to the right.
I thought this was a baby swinging because it was a little blurry.
and then I zoomed in,
and it's a full-grown woman in a rocking chair, right?
Right there.
See her rocking?
Oh, yes, yes.
I'm pretty sure she brought that from home.
Yeah, that is nice.
Yeah, I was telling Kim earlier,
folks here are making this their home right now.
They really are.
They're bringing their own chairs.
They're bringing blankets.
They're bringing pillows.
I'm just looking at all the people at your watch party.
It's awesome.
Yeah.
Some people are just into every single pitch.
Some people are just hanging out with friends.
It's got like a community vibe to it for sure here.
They really are.
And then when the folks see the camera pointed their way,
of course they're going to give their traditional go-brewer scream.
But other than that, inside,
folks' eyes are just dead locked in on this monitor.
It's just like this is what they're here for.
You know, they're not looking away at all.
All right, nerves, here we go.
What's up?
Three and two is the count to Bryce Terang.
He's been up for a hot minute here.
Let's see if something big is about to happen in the game here.
Okay, we've got another runner, Durante.
Look, they're happy.
They're cheering.
All right.
Thank you so much for your applause.
Yes, yes.
First and second.
All right, Durante.
Appreciate you coming on.
Hopefully we can keep your camera up.
We'll keep taking this shot and keep watching all
the interesting fans down there.
Got the Zocalo Food Park down there in the fifth ward.
Durante Matthews joining us.
Absolutely.
Are you getting cold?
Are you good?
I feel like, do you need a jacket?
So, a little rookie mistake.
I forgot my jacket back at the station.
But I am, I'm all right.
I'm all right.
You know, I'm from Chicago.
I deal with the cold all the time.
Yeah, that's true.
As long as I don't see any more skeletons out here, I'll be good.
Thanks, Durante.
Appreciate it.
We'll keep checking in with you here on Fox 6 Now.
They're on the south side.
So, that's Durante's shot there.
Let's check out.
This is Kegels Inn down there in West Allis.
They are cheering.
Getting some new sound sources in here.
Apologize for that a little bit.
That's the fifth ward.
That is Catalano Square where, oh my goodness,
look how many people have shown up.
Can these people even see the game?
Look how far away the screen is, I think,
I mean, all these people appear to be able to watch it,
but nobody's able to sit at this watch party
as there are just so many people.
So, yeah, I mean, there are just thousands
of people in the streets of Milwaukee right now
and in West Allis and all over the area.
I'm actually going to bring up the Deer District here
and see if Sam Kramer is back with us
because these people have really
been into the game down there in the Deer District
as it's kind of been bonkers down there.
We don't have Sam right now.
But look at, I mean, look at these people.
They're not going anywhere.
Oh, we got a Let's Go Brewers team.
Sam Kramer, I'm not sure if you can hear me.
I'm not getting any levels from your mic right now.
So whenever you pop on, we will try and take that.
Oh, there we go.
Now I think we've got Sam.
Oh, Sam, disappointment for the Brewers.
They did not get a hit in that inning.
So we're going.
Let's see here.
Sam, what is it, bottom six or top of seven?
Top of the seventh.
Look, that guy's literally running
because he does not want to miss a single thing that is happening.
Sam, what's the vibe down there?
Now that we're getting in the back third
of this game, and it is still so close.
Yeah, the tension is rising.
I think you can feel it a little bit more now.
And if you could ask any one of these fans,
they would have preferred more offense than just in the first inning,
which it was, you know, we were right on here with Fox 6 Now live,
I believe, for both of those runs.
And this place erupted.
And since then, they've been getting loud for,
you know, defensive plays.
Why wouldn't they?
But now the final third of the game,
they would really love to see
at least one more run added on here for insurance.
We're taking a live picture.
Yeah, this is from St. Petersburg in the Trop
as some of the fans are dancing on the field.
They've got a different kind of a vibe down there.
We've got thousands of people in the streets,
and down in Tampa, nobody seems that tense down there.
It's just totally, I mean, there's a lot of kids down there too
as they're dancing to some music.
All right, let's get back out to Sam.
Sam, have the crowd stayed?
And I know that there's a big screen set up close to the Fiserv Forum,
but everyone feels like this is the warmest place to watch the game.
Yeah, so yes, everyone has stayed.
It's a Friday night, Ben.
They've got nowhere else to go.
Just kidding.
They have plenty of options to go.
But everybody wants to be here.
And so after you stepped away around 8 o'clock,
I went to try and grab something to eat.
It took me a while, but it helped me to kind
of get some perspective on just how big this crowd is.
It is, you know, almost out to, what is this,
MLK here on the east side of this property.
And on the west side, there's a bunch of people in the new fashion.
There's a bunch of people eating outside at Tom's Watch.
And there's a handful, a couple handfuls of people
at the temporary screen they set up there on the plaza,
farther down but again for reasons we've already established
this is this has been the most popular
spot i'm really happy for bartenders in Milwaukee tonight
because i'm guessing they are making a
killing no matter what establishment they
are working at tonight as there are so many people
that are out and here we get
that let's go brewers chat has risen again yeah they're they're trying
to get it going it's during the commercials it's hard
to get everybody refocused is what i've
gathered did they make a Jenga tower out
of the beer cans there there there are there is some
alcohol consumption happening at these tables yes
that bartender is bringing out some some fine art
skills but no the bartenders are doing well up
and down again like i said i went over to Explorium
and uh tip of the cap to those folks they're just turning orders
as fast as they can so again this
is uh designed for you to watch the game
and watch these watch parties at the same time so when
something big happens in the game you can look down
on your Fox Local app and see how the people
are reacting all over southeast Wisconsin as people
are just amped for this and just thousands
and thousands of people if they're
not at the game they're hanging out with friends and backyards
big moment there. Sam, what happened? Strikeout of somebody.
I can't see. Let me just get out here. Uribe's still on the mound.
Uribe struck out Caminero. Yeah, struck out Junior Caminero.
So that's a big strikeout and a good reason
to celebrate. Yeah, one of the best home run
hitters in the game. Certainly the best home run hitter on Tampa Bay.
And now Uribe's coming out of the game. So you're going to see
fans reacting to that.
Who was coming in. So I didn't see that.
but people are fired up here with the job Abner Uribe did.
Back to Caminero, in batting practice yesterday as the Tampa Bay Rays
were doing their first kind of drills in American Family Field,
he hit two balls off the scoreboard,
and for a while, I don't know if you saw this, Sam,
he actually broke the scoreboard.
It turned black, and it just shows you how hard
that guy can hit the ball.
So that's a big out.
Yeah, and that's a pretty big screen.
So while it looks small on the screen
when it knocks out some of those LED screens,
it's actually fairly large.
If you've ever been in the ballpark
and kind of close to the scoreboard,
and you can look at it from an angle,
like a hard angle, right to the left or right of it,
you can see it's taken some hits.
And in fact, Caminero earlier in this game,
on a pitch that Jacob Mizorowski threw
that was, I think, 101 miles per hour, and he lined it to center field,
Garrett Mitchell couldn't corral it because it was coming at him
at almost 113 miles per hour.
And people don't understand how quickly that jumps on you
when you're in the outfield.
That kind of helped Tampa get on the board there.
So he is a really talented player for Tampa.
Yeah.
All right, there's some excited fans on Durante's camera.
Let's listen in to this.
Okay, that's – we apologize for the language.
Live television, I guess we can't take this crowd from Durante.
day. Here's what we're going to do.
As people are, you know, they're amped up for this. They're
excited. We get it. Hey, we're going to go back out
to the watch parties. We're going to watch
the
language
kids.
Stay
with
us,
Toby.
We're
watching
Fox
6
Now.
Hey,
everybody,
it's
Ben
Handelman inside the Fox 6 studios.
You're watching special edition coverage of Fox 6 Now.
We're in the World Series
and all of Milwaukee appears to be out there and about as the watch
parties are underway all over Milwaukee, West Dallas
and beyond. In the left that is Catalano
Square where there are hundreds of people watching this on a big screen
but look how deep they are
they can barely see it i mean that tree's kind
of in the way too sorry guys but uh yeah look at
these people in the back as you're looking live
at the watch party there uh upper right that's
the south side that's Walker's Point
that is the uh Zocalo Food Park there they've got a big watch
party and the crowds have been great
and they brought their own seats they're having fun the
lower right is the Deer District as uh i mean there
are so many people there was a Bucks game
earlier today but Sam Kramer said most of the people
who are watching this he does not believe
we're at the Bucks game there
were a few i'm actually wondering if i take this shot here
I thought that was a Bulls fan.
No, it's just red on his coat.
Because Sam said there were some Bulls fans that hung out earlier.
But they're not, you know, not all of them are Brewers fans.
So they're like, we're going to get out of here.
So these are all the shots.
We've got our reporters all over the place.
Sam Kramer, he is in the Deer District in the lower right.
Durante, he is at Zocalo talking with the people.
And Abril Preciado is hanging out on the left.
So the Brewers get out of the top of the inning.
So we're going to the bottom of the seventh now
with the Brewers with a slim two-to-one lead.
And you just heard the cheers from all of the people
that have just been so excited about what's happening.
Look at this guy.
He's just, let's see these dance moves.
Yeah, yeah, show it, show off.
Pretty cool.
Look how many people deep this is now.
I mean, look behind the picnic tables, all those people there.
I don't know how you get around back there.
Pretty cool shot.
It's also a party out in West Allis.
They're pretty happy out at Kegel's Inn, where,
I mean, this bar's been around for, I think,
this is a fourth-generation owner at this bar out there in West Allis.
What's funny is, out of all the shots we have,
these guys are on the biggest delay.
Look at the dancing.
Okay, we got dancing going on in West Allis, everybody.
Oh, because they're playing, I think, Roll Out the Barrels.
That's probably what's happening out at Kegel's,
kegels, because I see some poke-like moves
from those women directly in the front. Oh, there's
lots of dancing going on.
Out of all my cameras here, I think this is the only one where people
are doing some polka dancing and rolling out the barrels.
I will tell you, though, the gang is all
here. Some of these watch parties have giveaways,
which has been really fun, too. Like, down there
in the Deer District, believe it or not, somebody,
I'm not sure if they did this earlier or they're
going to do this later tonight someone's going
to win world series tickets for tomorrow night
so if you showed up to the deer district you have
a chance to win world series tickets for game two
ticket prices by the way are still bonkers i
was checking online i'm going to do it real quick
again well i can't check now for game one
because those tickets are gone or they're worthless but
they were over two thousand dollars to get it i
was thinking the price was going to drop especially
at the last minute and it never really happened
but was really interesting at the ballpark uh
took a live shot uh there was someone on actually on social media
and ted perry's kind of noted this
as well there were people waiting through the first inning
and they just kept updating their
phone praying that the prices would go down
and it never really happened and so there were scenes
of some people peering through the windows you know
if you go out in the center field
there are windows and you can look into the ballpark
and there were people without tickets
hanging out outside the ballpark
and they were peering inside trying to see if they could see
anything the problem is you got standing room only tickets
and they're like three people deep
so uh yeah it wasn't really working out
so here we go the brewers are going to come to bat in the
seventh inning here they're down two to one excuse me they're
not down two to one they're winning two
to one and they've they're in the bullpen now
which continues its fantastic streak but there's
no room for error as Tampa Bay is only down by one run
so this is about to get tense and crazy
and all sorts of nutty stuff can happen here's what I got
to do before the inning starts I got
to take a quick break here
and when we come back hopefully we can talk to one of our reporters and
continue
to
get
the
vibes
you're
watching
special
worlds
watching
Fox
6
now
let's
go
Bruce
Ben
Handelman joining you with Fox 6 now, hey thanks
for joining us on this two-screen experience
because you can watch the World Series
on your television on Fox 6 now if you're in southeast
Wisconsin if you're anywhere else around
the country just turn on your local Fox station
because we got the World Series here on Fox
and uh yeah it's been so fun out there as thousands
of people are out at the watch parties.
I do have some breaking news. I'm going to see if this works
here. We've had a first-ever sausage race inside American Family Field.
Should we see who won?
Let's take the race.
You're watching the first-ever sausage race. Here, let's go.
Down pass home plate. They make the turn.
They're heading down the stretch with the Italian showing
the way. It's the Bratwurst in second,
the Polish in third, the hot dog and the chorizo trailing
the field at the wire it's
the Italian, congratulations to the Italian sausage go
the Italian sausage
is the winner they didn't have sausage races back in 1982
so this is the first time ever there has
been a World Series sausage race and i always root for
Chorizo because he's got that massive sombrero
and i think it weighs him down and look who finished
in last place it's always Chorizo like it's just
not even fair look had the inside he got pushed
out by the hot dog and then Italian it's always Italian
so quick usually man, the brat was pretty
close too, and Polish they're up one two three
there you go, they're doing the sausage races
all right, let's go out to the watch parties
because it's been super fun, so that's Kegels
in out in West Dallas, here's our other three there's
Abriel Presciado, she's joining us, she's
working her phones, I see you Abriel, I see what you're doing, I'm
not sure she can hear us right
now uh and then here's some
of the other shots we have here uh we've got the Deer District, they're
getting pretty loud, let's just
listen in, hold on, hold on a second
okay Abriel, are you able to hear
me now? Unfortunately I don't think Abriel can hear me
so we're going to take her next, we'll wait for
Abriel's audio to get on board here, checking
her phone, I'm checking that out, this is another watch
party on the south side, Zocalo Food Park
It's been super fun down there on the south side as well
And I think we've got Abriel now. Do we have Abriel now?
Okay, now we can take this box here
because Abriel now has us
Abriel Presciado, Catalano Square. I see you've been making
friends, Abriel, who you with? Oh my gosh, we're right here
with our friend Dawson and he's on
How many beers have you had?
So far I've had enough beers tonight, but it's all for the Brewers
That's what matters. He did so Wisconsin, like he finished a beer
And then he's like, oh don't worry
I gotta pull it out of his... she said that I could have a drink
So I put the one down and then she
said no you can have it, I said I got one in my pocket, we good, we good
So can you tell me, right
Now, just kind of describe the vibes that we're feeling right now.
Immaculate vibes.
The energy around here, if you guys didn't get
a video of this already, it's amazing.
They're chanting.
These guys think they're at the game.
That's how amazing it is right here.
And that feels right.
We may not be at American Family Field,
but it feels like we are because everyone's kind
of making it that way.
I live in the city of Milwaukee, and all week,
you can be walking on the street, people will
say, good morning, go Brewers.
Like, the vibes here are just immaculate.
It's amazing.
It's a great place to be.
Did you score any tickets to go to the World Series?
Game six, if they make it to game six, which I don't think they will.
Brewers in four.
But if they go to game six, I got tickets ready to go.
I'm going to be there.
I'm going to be making some noise.
I start chance.
It's going to be a good time.
I don't think it'll go that far, though.
Absolutely, yes.
Do you have a favorite player?
Favorite player's got to be the captain, Christian Yelich.
He didn't have a great season, but he's balling this postseason.
We're doing it for you, baby.
That's what matters.
Anything else you want to tell the Brew Crew?
Last thing I got to say is game six, if you're at the game,
don't buy the 50-50 raffle because I'm winning it.
Okay, be careful out there.
Do you have a question for him?
I like that he wants claim to the 50-50 raffle.
That was like $80,000.
I want to know, where do you get that vest?
That is a sweet, like, subtle brewer's vest.
I want to know where you got your vest.
I appreciate that question, actually.
I'm a big thrifter, actually, so I go to thrift stores all the time.
Got this at the local Goodwill.
Oak Creek, shout you out.
It's a great Goodwill over there, okay?
I go once a month.
It's good out there.
I've heard that.
Appreciate the love, though.
Does he remember what he paid for it?
Thank you so much.
Oh, how much did you pay for it?
four dollars i know that too bougie on a budget thank you
so much we love that thank you so much
and over here like you mentioned ben we have
been making lots of friends right here i made a new
friend a new friend group we have the girl oh
the girls are out what brought you ladies out
just the burgers in general
and what we say the people want to be with the people so we're out
with the people tonight yeah who thought about the idea
because i mean you guys are all looking
so cute, your outfits, the cap?
Honestly, I'll say the boyfriends brought us out and then the
girlfriends all kind of joined
and made the plans to make us all be here tonight. There's a lot of
things happening in Milwaukee.
It's not hard to find things that are great to do. So I think a lot
of social media has put it out today that there
were things going on and it created a crowd. I
mean, it's been a long time coming that the Brewers wanted
to come like win the World Series and that's
we're here to do today so like you ladies i mean
um i'm gonna move on over so everyone can come out
and hold on hold on something crazy
is happening we got craziness happening what's happening just
wait it's
gonna hit
your screen
in a second
here
they're on
attention
but
obviously
the
Brewers are, what were, Abreel, how do they know each other? How
do they know each other? How do you
guys know each other to make
friends out there? They just met, I know
the girl crew, we got home boy over
here too, right? They didn't even know
each other for real. Let's go bro, I need
to know these guys where
Where are they from?
I need to know their story.
Okay.
Where are you guys from?
I'm here from Milwaukee.
Where are you ladies from?
I'm from Milwaukee.
I deliver beer.
You're welcome for your kegs.
You heard them here from Milwaukee.
Doesn't get us Milwaukee from that.
They're saying this is our year
because it does feel like our year out here.
I'll send it back to you, Ben.
All right.
If you want me, anyone else around here? Questions.
Well, you keep making friends out there.
How about that?
Yes.
And then when we take you, good things happen,
Abreel, because the Brewers, they got another hit.
They got another hit, first and third right now.
All right, Abreel, keep your camera up for me, will you?
I just would like to see the reaction to what happens here.
And I'll drop your levels on your microphone.
So we're looking live as the Brewers are scoring runs.
Hopefully these are the insurance runs that they need.
We're looking live.
I want to pull up this audio.
This is from the Deer District right here,
because it's been bonkers in the Deer District.
Look at what it means
to people.
Look what this means to her.
At first and third,
there's two outs.
If you're watching on your television,
I don't want to be a spoiler for those of you on delay.
Big moment in the game here,
because a hit will provide a really big insurance run,
and it's Christian Yelich up to bat.
They're going crazy.
I'm
nervous.
I am
nervous.
I've got to say, the people in the Deer
District, they're bringing it tonight.
But so are they all over Milwaukee.
Christian Yelich at bat, runner on first and third, two outs.
The
pitch,
it was
a ball.
They're cheering because it was a ball,
so it's a 1-0 count to Christian Yelich.
First and third, and the city's going
to go bonkers if Christian Yelich gets a hit here.
Let's go back live to the Deer District
because these people are really into it.
Two
and
one
is
the
count.
I mean, those people are drinking down their nerves right now.
An out
at
first.
It's close, but the Brewers do score a run.
You can see they're pretty happy.
All right, I've got to take a quick break here.
You're watching live coverage of the World Series on Fox 6 Now.
This has been so much fun.
Don't go anywhere.
How will this end?
You're
watching
Fox
6
Now.
It's the World Series,
and I can't believe it because I'm so stressed out,
and we're having so much fun.
You're watching Fox 6 Now here.
This is our streaming coverage.
Two screen viewing.
You watch the game on TV, and then you look at your phone,
and you see all these crazy people like Sam Kramer.
He's in the Deer District.
Sam, awesome to have you.
I'll talk to you in a second here.
upper right that is Zocalo Food Park
on the south side lower right that is Catalano Square where
it's just been bonkers there Sam I've
been so impressed with the crowd in the Deer District
because of all the cameras we have I'll quickly show
this we got kegels in out in west dallas
as well but sam of all the um the watch parties
the vibe at your watch party these people
are literally on the edge of their seats
and we are living pitch to pitch through the emotions
of everyone at your party.
I think part of the reason for that is, look, this is a sports
environment. We're in the Deer District.
Obviously there's success here. People locked in on the
screen. I'm here with my guy Isaiah.
Isaiah, where's your heart rate right now? What are you
feeling? Churio just gave us the lead insurance run
and I can't believe it right now. I mean,
My heart's racing.
I don't know what's going on right now.
Ball, ball, it doesn't matter.
It doesn't matter.
But we're going to keep on going.
We're going to keep on rolling with the series.
But this is perfect because it's the World Series.
So you sit and hang on literally every pitch.
If you were at the ballpark,
you can't just run off to the concession stand,
grab something real quick.
Like, you are locked in, especially here, thousands of people around.
What do you think of the turnout tonight?
I mean, I love the turnout.
I mean, this group of people right here outside
of the stadium right now, it's amazing.
And outside of the people, like you said,
outside of the stadium right now, I can't believe the turnout here.
Outside of the Deer District, outside of the,
I mean, there was a Bucks game earlier tonight.
And we have all these groups of people cheering on the Brewers.
And we're still here.
We're still cheering on the crew.
And we're out here right now.
We're cheering on the crew.
I don't know what else to say.
Your voice sounds great.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Have you been yelling or cheering at all?
Yeah, I mean, the whole entire night.
We've been just cheering all night.
I'm worried for him, Sam.
I don't think he's going to make it to seven games.
All night, Milwaukee 4-1-4.
Do you think you're going to make it seven games
if the series goes seven games?
It'd be tough, but hopefully it doesn't go that much.
I think you're going to wake up tomorrow and be like, I can't talk.
Like, this is so hard.
But we'll be back here.
They've been doing some damage here, too, guys.
Don't worry about that.
You'll be back here.
We'll be back here.
But why?
What is it about this place that makes it the spot to be?
I mean, there's one thing about Milwaukee
that brings everyone together,
and that's all that is.
Milwaukee brings the community together all together.
Your buddies are giving you a drink, right?
Okay, okay.
He's shaking a little bit.
He's nervous.
That's okay.
For people that this is their introduction to Milwaukee,
what do you think they're learning about
this city, this fan base, this team?
I think people don't realize
that this small like everyone calls it a small market team
but it's a big community that's my biggest part about it
is like people think it's a small market
but we have a big community
and we just keep on rolling with the crew and that's really all that
is like I don't know what else
to say all right there's more here all right Aaron Ashby strikeout
Ben, throw it back to you.
Perfect, because that's a perfect thing to end on here, Sam.
Great coverage.
I like all of the recording that all those girls are doing of that guy,
so he's got lots of interviews that they can go play that back.
All right, stand by, Sam.
We're going to keep your shot up,
but we're going to hit you back
on Fox 6 News at 10 in a couple minutes here
as we're just watching.
I mean, the Brewers now, they've got one out.
They're five outs away with Aaron Ashby
on the mound of winning game one,
and the crowds are going bonkers out there in the Deer District
and everywhere else.
We'll just stay with you for a couple more minutes here,
and then I've got to take a quick break,
and then we're going to take a longer break to get all set
for even more expanded coverage for the end of this game.
So stick with us here on your Fox Local app.
But there's the score.
Good job by Michael, our producer, bringing that up.
He's been doing a great job here.
3-1.
Thank you, Ben.
The Brewers are on top of the Tampa Bay Rays.
And what has been just a bonkers game.
It's been bonkers because we knew it would
be low score, and they were right.
We're also watching what's happening out in West Dallas.
These people have been so fun.
Different kind of a, you know,
this is the West Dallas vibes out at Kegel's that's so fun.
And VAR's been around forever, and they've got,
I mean, West Dallas came out to support.
Because we all can't go to the World Series, guys.
We all don't have $3,000 to blow on tickets,
but that's okay because we can still get together with our community,
whether you're on your couch right now watching us
or something else all right stay with us we got
lots more coming up stay tuned here on Fox 6 Now until
the end of the game make sure you tune in as well
