All signs point to this, as NHL insiders give a shocking update surrounding Brock Besser and
the Vancouver Canucks, going as far as saying he is getting close to signing a contract
with a team, but not only that, with the Habsburg Canucks just one win away from securing their
first Calder Cup. We're going to break down key players that have huge implications on the Canucks
heading into next season. We have so much to break down on the Brock Besser front, including the
quotes from the insiders, but these Habsburg players are stepping up big, so let's just hop
straight into Habsburg first. Where we do know the Abbey Canucks are just one win away going into
tonight's game, or yesterday's game, depending when you're watching this, to try to secure the
first Calder Cup versus the Checkers in team history. Now there's a lot of guys stepping up
with this team, and I do not want to discredit any players. I think everyone is stepping up.
Jonathan Lekromackie, who missed the stretch of games after being scratched, came back into the
line of scoring two goals in a 3-2 win to force it to be a closeout game in tonight's game. Now
looking at some players, there is one clear-cut guy that has huge implications and looks like the
MVP, but three players that have been stepping up, in my opinion, Linus Carlsen, who has been
incredible for Abbotsford all playoffs and regular season long. This is a guy that has
went out 23 goals in the regular season in 32 games. We've seen him go straight into the playoffs
with the league leading 11 goals in 22 games, leading the entire playoffs. During the Calder Cup
run, in total goals, yes, he's played a lot of games, but consistency, almost at a half a goal
a game. This kid has been awesome, and I do think we're going to see a couple stints, if not a
full-time position, for Carlsen going into the Canucks season next year as they look to fill out
their bottom six of their lineup with some very good players that are going on an incredible run.
Now looking at some players that have had a cup of tea with the Vancouver Canucks as early as this
season was R. Steve Baines. Now you might have seen his name on the list when you look at top
goal scores in the playoffs, but R. Steve Baines has came in and been on fire since the final round
has started. Six goals in the playoffs, 20 points. We almost see a point per game player in the
regular season, 43 points in 50 games. Baines has had stints with the Canucks. We can see second
in total points in this run as well. Sammy Blaise, as well, shouted him at number five with 18 total
points. What an awesome signing. When it comes to the PTO and the AHL contract, hopefully he gets a
full-time contract as well. But nonetheless, Baines and Carlsen have been huge parts of this team.
We've seen Baines have his streaks with the Vancouver Canucks. We've seen him score his first
NHL goal. We've seen Linus Carlsen also have streaks playing 23 games, six total points,
being an absolute workhorse, like Bain as well. But then you get into what looks like the clear-cut
MVP with a 9.43, I believe it is, save percentage in the finals, and that is the Arity Party.
Arity, she loves. She loves has been a revolutionary goaltender in the playoffs. We've seen him stand up
in the playoffs, even with the Canucks versus the Edmonton Oilers. She loves looks like the clear-cut
MVP, 9.33 save percentage, 15 and 6 in these playoffs. Yes, there is Thatcher Demko and Kevin
Lankanen on the Vancouver Canucks. Right now, we're seeing that there's reports the Canucks are
looking to extend Demko. But with Sheloff stepping up, seeing his development continue, the Arity
Party is just on the verge of making a full-time Canucks goaltender. And I wouldn't be shocked in
two seasons from now if he is the 1B goaltender for this Canucks team. The development has been
incredible. What is your guys' thoughts heading into Game 5? What do you think the final score
is going to be? Maybe you already know the final score. Let me know your favorite moment from this
Canucks run because this has been historic. And one of the best things I've seen in the AHL, as
this was the team in January that was not in the playoff spot, setting a record for the most or
best record during a 16-game span. This team is insane. And I cannot wait to see the future of
these players on the Vancouver Canucks. But with that, let's hop straight into the second top day
where it does get a little rough. We know the reports have been flying around on Brock Besser.
There's reports of him looking to stay. We've seen what Patrick Albin had said on Brock Besser
after the trade deadline. People said the relationship had soured. But we get a quote
from Nick Kiprios and another insider revealing Brock's future heading into July 1st. Now this
quote coming from Nick Kiprios yesterday, all this will be linked down below as well.
Brock Besser, we assume, is coming real close to terms with the Minnesota Wild. Now this is not
coming from Michael Russo, who is the top insider for the Minnesota Wild. Until that happens, we are
not 100% dead set that he is gone. Albin can turn his head and say, hey, we'll offer you what you
want. We want you back. And I think he should do that. But looking at these reports coming out,
it is starting to get terrifying and more clear. All signs seem to be pointing to the Vancouver
Canucks not having Brock Besser next season. Now looking at the fourth period day fake note,
we've seen the report coming out. This article will be down below as well, where they do their
top three agents going into July 1st. Brock is ready for a change of scenery. And Dave Banknote
has reported last month, and I'll have this full quote, that it is a long shot that he signs with
Vancouver. Teams are reporting with LinkedIn, Los Angeles, Minnesota, Ottawa. You can work your way
down. Teams are lined up to get Brock Besser. The Canucks have his rights until July 1st.
Why not just go out, sign the guy instead of looking to replace him? Yes, Paterka from Buffalo
would be an awesome addition. But you have someone that has scored 25 goals. You have someone that
has consistently been with this team and knows the system. Why look and move assets when you
know what you have in Brock Besser on this team? But the last quote from David Banknote once again
will be linked down below. Besser 20 is a long shot to resign with the Canucks. One team source
confirmed to me this week, he is prepared to move on next chapter of his career and will be
attract significant interest this summer, especially given the limited market. Now,
this is a big thing. The Canucks are in the leverage of signing Brock before July 1st.
They can go out, as I said, sign him a contract right now, secure him on this team. But if the
relationship has soured past repair, if we see this management group not want to dish out the
then the big thing is the Canucks are desperately looking to fill in the top six,
having to go into bidding wars with teams or giving up an arm and a leg to fill the void.
As I said, a 40 goal score, someone that's been with the team since 2016, when we've seen him
make the jump from the NCAA all the way into the Canucks lineup, scoring four goals, getting five
points. Brock Besser is a Vancouver Canuck. He has been a huge part of this Vancouver Canucks team,
losing out on him is going to implicate the entire future of this team.
We know that they're going to have to look for changes. We've seen JT Miller get shipped out
last year. A lot of people hate that trade, but listen, Moose, Victor Mancini has looked great.
Philip Edel has shown flashes, and I do think he can turn it around. We use the first to get
Marcus Pedersen and Drew O'Connor. That trade filled in a lot of voids, but if you lose Brock
Besser for nothing, then you're desperately looking around, hoping Jonathan Leckermackie,
maybe you hope Linus Carlsen, gets into the top six and can produce at this level,
but looking to replace Brock, going into bidding boards, making a trade, a trade could already be
in the chamber. This is a very quiet team for this time of year, but we know they cannot trade any of
their prospects until you get past the Calder Cup Finals. The thing with this team is looking to
replace Brock Besser. In my opinion, you have his replacement, and it is him. You re-sign him,
you figure out issues. If you get two years down the road, and God help this doesn't happen,
but Quinn Hughes wants to leave, then you have Brock Besser, then you have Quinn Hughes,
you trade these for future assets or players, and you get right back in the mix. Losing key players
for nothing is not how you continue to develop or win in this league, and I think the Canucks
are going to find that out the hard way. If the reports from Nick Capros and from David Pagnotta,
the fourth period, everything you can see, if they lose Brock, this is a huge step back in my
opinion. Boys, you guys are awesome. What are your thoughts on the Habs to Run? This is a little more
nicer than what we're seeing on Brock Besser. What is your thoughts on Brock Besser? What kind
of contract would you give him? Because in my opinion, sign him for what he wants, figure out
what you have to do in the future later, but this is the kind of player you cannot lose. 40 goals
score, don't grow on trees, you can draft someone at 15 and hope he turns into Brock, but you have
Brock Besser. Get this done, Canucks. We need to figure it out. But what are your guys' thoughts
on this? Go ahead and leave a comment down below. While you're down there, leave a like, subscribe,
share this video with your friends. If you enjoyed this, I hope you did. We'll be back with another
episode tonight, so keep your eye out for that. Go Habs-ers, go Canada team. Screw the Oilers.
I'm glad they lost, but I've been your host, Mark Pye, and take care, Canucks fans.
