Now diving into this before we dive into Anthony Romani I did want to dive into an update where we're going to get NBA action in Vancouver sadly not the Grizzlies but the Raptors and Clippers are playing an NBA preseason game in Vancouver so fans either way you're going to see Kawhi Leonard if the trade goes through whatever this is going to be awesome I mean looking at Vancouver of course we got reports that the MLB expansion is a thing the Vancouver wants to lean into and seeing the schedule come out by the Raptors any bit of pro basketball in the city of Vancouver is going to be awesome let me know down in the comments are you going to watch this game it's going to be fun to see the Rodgers arena with a wooden court laid down Kawhi Leonard versus his former team or Kawhi Leonard versus a former team in the Raptors it's either way he's played for both teams let me know your thoughts on this down below do you guys miss the Grizzlies who is your favorite Grizzlies player let me know your thoughts down in the comments on that but let's just dive straight into Anthony Romani where a report by Scott Wheeler came out speaking on Anthony Romani and how he's an assassin might be a diamond in the rough for the Canucks my feature with insights and MSU staff is skills strength coaches and more this whole article will be down below and he speaks very in-depth on Anthony Romani and how the Vancouver Canucks have a legitimately hidden gem in the making with this young kid pushing through but the biggest thing is sports betting has changed the moment apps took over live betting work over there let them know Canucks Digest sent you as well and again huge shout out to Otis Edge but let's continue on with Anthony Romani now Anthony Romani again had incredible stints when it came with the North Bay team in the OHL 111 points in 68 games we've seen the Canucks select them sixth round 168th second overall in 2024 going down with an injury of course only playing six games the following year being traded and playing 29 with 30 points Anthony Romani exploded in the playoffs for the Berry Colts putting up 24 points in 16 games before committing to the Michigan State University of the Big Ten putting up 28 points in 37 games now Anthony Romani a bit of an older guy 21 years old hence why he dropped in the draft but coming out there's a lot to like about this kid not only are you getting an explosive right winger that had an 111 point season including 28 points in 37 games and of course the transition from the OHL into the NCAA take some time Gavin McKenna struggled for half the year going first overall after quickly do you guys think Anthony Romani has toxic potential I'm going to convince you why he does but what why for yes and for no down in the comments because I want to see what your guys general consensus on them are but diving into it there was a lot of talk including from his assistant coach we always felt like he could be a catalyst offensively ability to make a play ability to finish he doesn't need much he has a heavy shot and sneaky good release he was a two-way four that had some pretty deadly offensive instincts now of course coming in 111 point season being drafted showing exactly why his heavy shot his instincts but picking up a two-way game is something that really makes Anthony Romani interesting the 58 goals of following up with 19 goals 14 when jumping to the NCAA Anthony Romani was a small winger 6 foot 1 195 pounds I shouldn't even say small but a guy that of course wasn't the biggest player and putting up great offensive numbers again a bit of an overager going into the NCAA but seeing the comments that are coming out on Anthony Romani on how his development of the two-way game continues to pick up his offensive instincts the heavy shot sneaky good release this is a guy that I'm super excited to see continue to progress and show off at the NCAA level now he's going back to Michigan he will not be joining the Canucks in this upcoming season but following that season maybe we see him go pro join the Aperture Canucks work his way through development camp and training camp before joining the Vancouver Canucks a team that of course is super young a team that's going to be adding a lot of draft players into this core as we see more players are going to be traded more picks will be accumulated this is going to be a long-term thing but even looking past just Anthony Romani and how is showing the offensive instinct of a kid like this there's another guy in the NCAA for Colorado College that had a great season 15 points and 31 games for Wilson Bjork Big O Bjork's older brother who has just drafted in the top 10 in the NHL draft as well 143rd overall 2025 draft this just showing that the Canucks have gotten some legitimate guys now I'm not going to sit here and say Wilson Bjork's going to come out and put up 900 points in the NHL of course no one's doing that unless Wayne Gretzky but at the end of the day this is a kid that just shows the Canucks have legitimate talent pushing through of course 15 points just under a half a point a game doesn't look the most impressive but a lot of guys struggle when making the jump from not only junior hockey into NCAA but jumping from Sweden into North American hockey so we did both of those things at once and putting up a relatively good season I've done so many videos on Wilson Bjork and just looking at the future of the kid but again just looking at this team and what the Canucks have truly added in some time now with this draft and of course adding Wilson Bjork this is a guy that again is only 19 years old at the time of this season when you look at the guys above him 21 22 23 20 21 20 22 everyone above him is at least a year plus older than Wilson Bjork and Bjork stepping in after not playing in North America came out guns blazing put up 15 points seven goals which is above a lot of the guys ahead of them of course Colorado College isn't the most dominant program but at the end of the day the Canucks have an incredible job adding key guys like Wilson Bjork even going deeper into the draft when you're looking at key guys like Anthony Romani that we spoke highly of for the past few years it's crazy how long this channel's been going but at the end of this fence I want your thoughts down in the comments and I'm going to fall back onto this are you sold on Anthony Romani is he top six let me know down in the comments why for yes and for no who do you think is the biggest hidden gem Canuck within their system is it Anthony Romani is its own I haven't spoke on Santinens who's a barreling force at six foot six playing over in Switzerland what did you guys thought your favorite prospect your favorite guy in Canucks history let me know all your thoughts down in the comments because listen we're going to come back and look at this video in a few years and this is going to be a man that's going to make a legitimate impact moving forward let me know your thoughts down in the comment on everything to do around this team again huge shout out to go check them out using the link in the description or in the pinned comment as I said daily expert picks in-depth analysis and discipline strategy they do absolutely incredible work over there and great stuff I've been your host Mark Bly take care of Canucks fans see you in the next one and Canucks hockey will be back soon
