Intermediate English Speaking Practice | Real-Life Role Play

This isn't a vocabulary lesson. This isn't a grammar lesson. Today, you're going to practice English the way you actually use it. Imagine you've finally booked that trip that you've always dreamed of. Maybe you're visiting another country. Maybe you're moving abroad. Maybe you're finally taking that vacation that you've been dreaming about. Whatever your dream is, English will help you experience it. Throughout this video, you'll experience some of the most common conversations that you'll have while traveling. We'll check in at the airport. We'll go through security. We'll take a taxi. We'll check in to our hotel. We'll meet new people. We'll order food, ask for directions, make plans, and even have some small talk along the way. We'll do it slowly first, and once you feel comfortable enough, we'll do it again at a normal pace. We will practice real English. Slow English is good to start with, but I want you guys to be able to understand English at a normal pace eventually. So, you're red. I'm blue. I could be a flight attendant, a waitress, or just a person that you meet while traveling. We'll try out different scenarios that you'll probably be in if you're going to travel. And don't worry if you're not perfect. The goal is to become comfortable speaking English in real situations. Ready? Let's catch our flight. So, remember, answer slowly first, and then we'll repeat it at a normal pace. Good morning. Where are you flying today? Perfect. May I see your passport, please? Thank you. Are you checking any bags today? Great. Could you put your suitcase on the scale for me? Perfect. Here's your boarding pass. Your flight leaves at 10.15am. And your boarding gate is B12. So, you made it through an entire day using English. If you answered out loud, you just practiced dozens of real English conversations that you'll definitely use while traveling. Remember, confidence doesn't come before speaking. Confidence comes with speaking. The more you practice, the more natural it will feel. And this is just the beginning of my English roleplay series.
