Song without Words No. 32 in F #m - WKMT Festival June 2026

Tristan Chen has been studying at WKMT since 2021, and his performance at our Annual Music Festival reflected the remarkable musical development he has achieved during this time. He presented Mendelssohn’s *Song without Words No. 32 in F-sharp minor* with sensitivity, expressive control and a mature understanding of its lyrical character. Through carefully shaped phrasing, thoughtful balance and a strong sense of musical direction, Tristan conveyed both the introspective atmosphere and emotional depth of the piece. His performance was a beautiful demonstration of his dedication, growing artistry and increasingly confident command of the piano.
