According to an Israeli security source, Iran's Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei has fled the country amid a severe crisis within the country's leadership. It is claimed that messages on his behalf are now being drafted by representatives of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, while actual control over key decisions is gradually shifting to the military command.

A source told Saudi Arabia's Al-Hadath television channel that Khamenei is no longer in Iran. His exact location and timing of his departure have not been specified. There is no independent confirmation of this information yet. At the same time, it is claimed that the statements and appeals issued in the Supreme Leader's name are authored by Ahmad Vahidi and other high-ranking IRGC officials. This may indicate a sharp weakening of Khamenei's personal control over events in the country.

His expected departure has intensified the struggle in Tehran between the political leadership, the Supreme Leader's Office, and the military command. The two sides are arguing over who should communicate with Washington, determine the limits of military action, and bear responsibility for the consequences of American attacks.

Khamenei's office is reportedly receiving conflicting assessments from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Khatem al-Anbiya Command, the IRGC, and its Aerospace Force. The disagreements concern the scale of the damage, Iran's ability to continue the campaign, and the effectiveness of the response. Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi demanded that contacts with mediators be consolidated within a single political channel. However, the IRGC command continues to independently submit its assessments and proposals for further military action.

A separate standoff is unfolding over control of Tehran's official statements. Representatives of parliament and the Supreme National Security Council are trying to prevent the military leadership from gaining exclusive authority over the country's position.

Against this backdrop, Ahmad Vahidi is becoming one of the most influential figures in Iran. According to current estimates, he is currently determining the potential response to US strikes and how far Tehran is willing to go in further escalation.

There is also disunity within the IRGC. Some commanders demand continued missile and drone attacks, while others urge consideration of casualties, the state of military infrastructure, and the country's ability to withstand another large-scale response.

The dire situation within Iran is creating additional pressure. Power outages, water shortages, and economic problems are increasing the risk of public discontent, so any new clash with Israel or the United States could seriously worsen the regime's situation.

The source also stated that Iran is allegedly preparing assassination attempts on Israeli figures in retaliation for the assassination of Ali Khamenei. The names of the alleged targets, the timeframe, and the level of preparation of such plans have not been disclosed.
