In this video, we are going to look at a brand new Chase Sapphire lounge that just opened at
a certain US airport. This lounge is absolutely huge, definitely one of Chase's biggest so far.
We'll tell you all about it and show you some photos in this video.
Hey, Credit Warriors, welcome to the show. My name is Ben Hedges, aka The Credit Shifu,
and on this channel, I talk about US credit cards, luxury travel, and personal finance.
And this video is brought to you by the Built Dining Program, my favorite way to supercharge
my credit card's point earning on dining spend with an average of extra three built points per
dollar. Link for that is below. So Chase just issued this press release. Chase Sapphire lounge
by the club opens at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport, DFW. Let's take a read of the
first paragraph. Chase announced its Chase Sapphire lounge by the club at Dallas Fort Worth International
Airport. DFW will open tomorrow, July 16th. Sorry, I should have covered this last week,
but anyway. Located post security in Terminal D by gate D25, the new lounge offers a premium retreat
for Sapphire Reserve card members. Opening at DFW, let's Chase Sapphire meet card members where they
travel most as Dallas Fort Worth area continues to grow year over year as a top destination for
Chase Sapphire Reserve card members. So it's cool that they actually look at the travel habits of
card members. It's probably just members that book through Chase travel though, but I guess that
should still give them a pretty good idea. Anyway, let's read on and then I'll show you some photos.
The split level lounge spans 18,000 square feet where guests can enjoy a full bar and dedicated
family spaces, including family room and private nursing room. Guests can also book rest pods,
face house, facials and showers. To support guests wellness journeys, peloton stretches
and meditations created exclusively for the lounge will be available on guests phones and tablets,
launching first in Dallas and subsequently available across the full Chase Sapphire
lounge by the club network. So 18,000 square feet is a big lounge. In my opinion,
10,000 square feet is kind of like the cutoff where if it's 10,000 or under, you're kind of like,
it's probably going to be a line for that lounge. It'll be hard to find a seat, etc. But at almost
double that, okay, close to 20,000 up at 18,000 square feet. That's a really good size. And let's
have a look now at some photos. We have an article by Upgraded Points. They have some photos in their
articles. Shout out to them. We can see some seating areas, restaurant style tables, the
cocktails and food look really good. The Points guy also has some nice photos. He highlights the
bar at the top of the article in the headline. And in his photos, you can see more seating areas.
You can see big windows that look down into the terminal. So you can see the peasants down there
below you who don't have access to a lounge. There are some photos of the showers, which I really
like. It's always a big plus for a lounge to have showers, especially if you just got off a red eye
and you're changing planes, or even if you're just changing planes on a daytime itinerary,
it's a nice thing to do to have a shower to freshen up. They have some shots of the bar
area, the whiskey lounge. There's also the family room with kids' toys and the breastfeeding room.
And the Points guy has some really nice shots of food as well, all individually plated. That's
something lounges started doing during the pandemic. And I guess it's stuck because it
is more hygienic. They show the coffee machines as well. So this all looks really cool, but how
do you get in? Well, if you are a Sapphire Reserve card holder, or if you have the Sapphire Reserve
Business, the JP Morgan Reserve, or the Ritz-Carlton card, you get complimentary access with up to two
guests. But if you have priority pass from any credit card, you get one free visit per year
and additional visits for a $75 fee. So it's a really good way to check out if you like the
Chase Lounge and if you want to get the Sapphire Reserve to get unlimited access. Although last
time I tried this at Boston, the line was way too long and I gave up. That's why I'm happy to see
that it's 18,000 square feet. But anyway, that lounge is now open. So if you're flying through
DFW, you can check it out. What do you guys think? If you visited it, leave me a comment below,
or if you're planning on visiting it, let me know. If you want to add three points per dollar on
average extra to your dining spending, check out the Built Dining Program in the link below. It
works great with the Chase Sapphire Preferred Reserve or Freedom Flex, which all earn three
points per dollar on dining. So you end up at six points per dollar, right? Three from Chase,
three from Built. You can use it with the Amex Gold as well. That's 4x on dining, which takes
you to seven points per dollar with Built. Click the link below to sign up. Don't forget to link
your card so you can actually earn points. You can also link your Lyft account as well for extra
points on Lyft rides too. All right, guys, that's the video for today. Please subscribe if you're
new. We'll see you next time. Bye-bye.
