Over 60 Russian energy facilities, military targets struck in Crimea, occupied territories in July
Ukrainian drone forces say they struck nine additional energy facilities in Russian-occupied territory, along with the Saky Thermal Power Plant, a military training ground, a secure communications hub, and a reported Russian military headquarters in Horlivka.
According to the statement, between July 1 and July 10, units of the Unmanned Systems Forces, SBS, have targeted a total of 60 energy facilities—51 in occupied Crimea and southern occupied Ukraine, and nine in eastern occupied territories. The statement claims the campaign is intended to degrade Russian power infrastructure and says widespread power outages are inevitable. As part of the “Crimean Switch Off” operation, Ukrainian forces strikes on the following targets in occupied Crimea are The 110 kV Berehove electrical substation near Molochne; The 110 kV Mainaky substation in Yevpatoria; The 110 kV Novoozerne substation near Medvedeve, The 110 kV Saky substation; The 36 kV Medvedeve substation: The Saky Thermal Power Plant. Elsewhere in Russian-occupied territory: Electrical substations were hit in Volnovakha Donetsk region, Sentiyanivka and Kalynove in Luhansk region, and Sofiivka in Donetsk region; The Starobesheve military training ground near Dokuchaievsk in Donetsk. A reported location hosting an award ceremony for personnel of Russia’s 1194th Motorized Rifle Regiment in Horlivka; a secure communications hub used by units of Russia’s 14th Army Corps near Chukalivka in the occupied part of Kherson region are among the hit targets. Video released in social media shows strikes on Russian targets.
