A 10-Minute French Pasta Side Dish Every Home Cook Should Know
Welcome to Part 1 of our new 3-part series on French-style pasta! 🇫🇷
When you think of pasta, you probably think of a big, comforting Italian main course loaded with tomato, garlic, and olive oil. But in France, we do things a little differently at home! For us, pasta is often the ultimate side dish, specifically designed to soak up the delicious gravies and sauces from our favorite home-cooked meats and stews.
To kick off the series, we’re making a wonderfully simple, everyday recipe from the legendary chef Paul Bocuse: Fresh Pasta with Cream, Peas, and cured Ham. a perfect pairing for any meat cook cooked in a sauce.
It’s an incredibly fast, fast-flying assembly job using simple ingredients you probably already have in your kitchen (like frozen peas and leftover cured ham). There's no olive oil here just good old-fashioned butter, a splash of cream, and plenty of fresh basil. It’s fresh, crunchy, slightly salty, and perfect for your next family dinner.
Grab a pan, pull up a chair, and let's get cooking!
Don't miss the rest of the series!
