In the Russian Federation, a drone attack is recorded on the port in Taganrog and two oil product storage facilities in Azov in the Rostov region; it is also reported that drones were flying towards Moscow. According to the monitoring Telegram channel Exilenova+, a port terminal of LLC "Kurgannefteprodukt" is on fire in Taganrog. In Azov, according to Exilenova+, two points of ignition have been recorded in Azov; judging by the geolocation of the filming locations, in addition to the Azov oil depot, JSC "Azov Optical-Mechanical Plant" or the oil depot of LLC "DonTerminal" may also have been attacked. Governor of the Rostov region Yuri Slyusar reported that in Azov, as a result of the attack, a fire occurred at two oil product storage facilities. In Taganrog, the fire is being extinguished on the territory of the seaport. According to preliminary data, no one was injured. Moscow Mayor Sobyanin also announced a drone attack. He claimed that more than a dozen drones were shot down, adding that "emergency service specialists are working" at the site of falling debris. Rosaviatsiya reported the introduction of restrictions at Moscow's Domodedovo airport.
Pulkovo Airport in St. Petersburg also stopped receiving and dispatching flights.
Also at night in the temporarily occupied Crimea, according to the monitoring Telegram channel "Crimean Wind", Yevpatoria and Saky were de-energized. Preliminarily, there was a strike on the "Moinaki" substation. In Kerch it was also loud. In the Krasnodar Krai, a fire broke out at the Ilsky Oil Refinery "due to falling debris" from drones, the regional emergency response headquarters reported . According to Supernova+, the fire was quickly extinguished. Drone fragments also reportedly fell in the courtyard of a private home and on the premises of a company. No one was injured.
The Russian Ministry of Defense stated that on the night of July 9, air defense forces shot down 376 Ukrainian drones over the territories of the Belgorod, Bryansk, Kaluga, Kursk, Leningrad, Novgorod, Pskov, Rostov, Smolensk, and Tver regions, the Moscow region, the Krasnodar Territory, annexed Crimea, and the waters of the Sea of Azov.
