Video Summary
AI GeneratedA day-in-the-life vlog of a press-on nail artist, covering the business operations of managing a small nail shop. The creator shares their process for sourcing materials, preparing application and sizing kits, packaging custom orders with freebies, and designing specific nail sets before ending the day with personal routines.
Hey guys, welcome back to my channel. Today we're gonna be doing a day in the life vlog,
so you guys are basically gonna follow me around all day. We're gonna be opening nail mail,
packaging orders, making application kits, and doing, I think, two sets today. Also,
ignore my background, I do work from my room and I have a lot of ---- going on back there, but
it is what it is. Also, my cat follows me around everywhere so he's gonna be joining us today.
So I kind of just let my nail mail accumulate until I have a handful of packages to open
and I had enough today, so I started opening all of them, starting off with this Amazon package
that was just the flower charms, which I've been needing for all these summer orders,
and next I'm opening up my AliExpress orders. Honestly, my AliExpress takes so long to get here
that by the time I have to open it, I completely forgot what I even ordered, so it's definitely a
surprise every time, but I love getting my charms from here. It's so worth it and they have pretty
much everything that you can't find on, like, Amazon. I just overall prefer AliExpress over
Shein or Amazon. But the first two things I opened were some chains and then I bought those silver
dainty seashell charms and this next package was so heavy I had no idea what it was. I didn't
remember until I opened it and I did buy a bunch of rings to add as freebies. I love adding free
things to my orders, I just never know what to add besides rings. I did see a girl who would add
scrunchies to her orders, which I thought was so cute, but if you guys have any ideas or suggestions
on what I could add as freebies, let me know. But that was pretty much it for my charm haul and now
I'm opening my package from iGel Beauty and that was my cat following me everywhere, but I pretty
much buy all my gel colors in bulk because they always run out of the ones that I need, so once I
see it in stock, I'll buy a handful of them. And it does come with the matching, like, regular polish,
but I don't use it. Oh, there's my cat being nosy. But yeah, I don't use it, so I just give it to my mom.
I wish there was an option to not get them at all because it is kind of a waste, but this is
everything from my nail haul. Now we're moving on to packaging all my orders. So these are some
of the orders I've done in the last few days. I let a few studs accumulate and then in the middle
of the week, I'll package up all of them and take them to the post office. So that's what we're doing
today. And I have, like, this little laptop stand that I use to put, like, all of my orders in and a
desk. I also have this little shelf and I keep all my application and packaging stuff here. And the
first thing I'm doing is making more application kits because I am running low. I like to kind of
make these in batches instead of doing it every time I get an order, just to make my life a little
easier. These are all the supplies I'm using, but I do have another video where I break down how I
package my orders. But I just make them in little stacks like I'm doing here. I'll do them in stacks
of one, two, and three because I do get a lot of, like, orders that include multiple sets.
Now that I have all my application kits done, I'm gonna get started on packaging these orders.
This first one is a My Chemical Romance freestyle set. Look how cute this came out, but I just lay
them down flat on my table and kind of measure it out with the tape and just apply them one by one
like I'm doing here. And those other pink sets that you saw, I did make a separate TikTok video
to package them, so I couldn't record myself packaging them here, but I'll just show you really
quickly what that looks like. So I gave her an application kit with the ring and her sets are
there and I gave her this cute little freebie toy because it is her birthday set and she is a
regular. I wish I had more to give her, but I don't, so that was all that she got, but hopefully she's happy with it.
And I also have this set, but this person did order two sets. This is just one of them, so I'm not
gonna package that one because I'll get confused, but these are so cute. I love how that one came
out. But I just set that one aside and I'm gonna go ahead and package these two. So I'll just put
them in their little plastic wrap and then I give each order a few stickers and I'm gonna add some
rings as well. I like the rings to match how the set looks, so for example this set is silver and
black, so I tried to find a ring that matched it pretty well. And then for the koi pond set, I felt
like gold matched it a little bit better, so I added a gold ring. And now I'm moving on to sizing
kits. I actually had a lot to make this time, I think like 12 of them, but I'm gonna show you
really quickly how I make my sizing kits. And if anyone's wondering, I do sell this template to
print out your own sizing kits and packaging slips. I'll link it in the description and I also do have
a video on how to size your nails in case if anyone's curious about that too. But right now
I'm just checking on all the orders that I have that are sizing kits and I just kind of use my
iPad as a reference. I'll go ahead and put on the screen all of the ones that I had to make this time
around. So I start off by writing out all the ones that I need and if you saw me using that paper
cutter earlier to cut these down a little bit, it's because when I ordered them, I ordered them in the
wrong size, so they didn't fit in the little plastic bag. So I definitely know what measurements
to use next time I order them. But I'm starting off with the long stiletto, so I had two orders
of long stiletto sizing kits and basically what I do is lay out every size that is available with
my long stiletto sizing kit and I kind of take my time with this and I make sure that all the sizes
are correct because sometimes in those boxes they can get mixed up, very rarely, but still I'd like
to double check just to make sure that everyone is getting one of each size. And I lay them out
like I'm doing here and I'll number them with a sharpie. My long stiletto actually has one of the
widest ranges, so there is half sizes as well and I'm also gonna show you my medium long square
sizing kits just because this is something kind of new that I've added. For a while, my medium
square and my long square had a big gap in between them and I really didn't like it and I finally
found some nail tips that kind of fill in that gap and I've been offering it for a little less
than a month now, but I didn't want to mess with my medium square or my long square, so I just named
it medium slash long square. I also didn't want to affect anybody that had spent money on a medium
square or long square sizing kit. So that's the reasoning behind that, but this one also has a very
wide range of sizes. This is what my sizing kits look all done and I have the shipping labels under
them. So I just packaged these up and put them aside with the other orders that I have because
I will be going to the post office later. But we're finally done with packaging all of my orders
and now I'm having my first meal of the day at like 1 p.m. Fun fact, I'm allergic to eggs so I
usually just skip breakfast or I'll eat avocado toast with turkey bacon, but I had no avocado so
we are resorting to a sandwich. But if anyone has breakfast recommendations that don't involve
eggs, I'm all ears because I get so bored of my meals. And this is me eating and stuffing my face
while watching tv. Somebody ordered two summer sets, so I'm gonna just knock out her entire order
today. Okay so this is the first set that we're doing. This is my tropical summer set. Both of
today's sets are on my website. She ordered it in Long Coffin. So step one is pretty much getting my
gel polishes together. I use my ipad to kind of guide me on what colors I'm gonna need and I'm
gonna be using these little palettes as well. I used to file down at the end but now I do it at
the very beginning just to make my life easier. And now I'm prepping the nails. I get asked about
this all the time. I will link the product in the description but it's an alternative to buffing.
This is how the first set turned out and I already got everything ready for the second set. This is
my reference photo. I didn't record too much of the process just because I am making a separate
youtube video just on this set. And this is how my second set turned out and this is both of them
together. And I'm done with the work day so this is like 6 p.m and after. I first went to the post
office and dropped off all the packages that I had that needed to be shipped and then I attempted to
be healthy and make myself ground turkey but it was still frozen so I launched the pan and go to
but at least I tried right. I split the meal with my dad so it's not that bad. And I usually go on a
walk every day outside but it literally started raining so thank god I have a treadmill indoors
and I just put on a movie or a show and aim for 10,000 steps and then from here I just shower
and just unwind for the day. I'll either watch tv or be on the phone with one of my friends and of
can I'll edit videos or I will plan tomorrow's day but that is pretty much my entire day.
Thank you guys for watching. I hope you enjoyed this video.
