It's so good. Good morning. If you are new here, my name is Layla and I post one to two videos every
week, mostly lifestyle videos. I share weeks in my life, weekends in my life, days in my life,
fitness videos, finance videos, full days of eating. But do me a favor and go like this video
and subscribe if you are not already. I figured today I would film a day in my life, kind of how
I balance my full-time job and my side hustles, for lack of better word. So I do YouTube. I am a
blogger. I have a Patreon. I try to just stay on top of all of those things. You know, I figured
I would just film a day in my life that is going to be pretty productive. So I'll show you what's
happening throughout my day. I do work from about 7 a.m. until 3 p.m. So I have a little bit of a
different schedule than a typical like 9 to 5. But it is still a full-time job, Monday through Friday.
As of lately, I have been waking up earlier than I need to be up. I wake up at 5 a.m. I leave for
work around 6 45. It is currently about 6 o'clock. So I wake up early in order to write. So I have
been working on a course. So after I get ready and I make my coffee and pack my lunch and all
that stuff, I get on my computer and I write. So that is one way I have started fitting more into
my day is by waking up a little bit earlier, even if it's just 30 minutes. So that has helped me a
ton. And it's actually kind of nice to sit at home and drink my coffee, work on my stuff, and
chill before I actually go to work. Here's my outfit today. This shirt, I just bought it at
Target. Just like a light sweater today. It is supposed to rain and it's going to be in the 60s,
which is the coolest it's been in months. These jeans are from H&M. And then these booties,
I haven't worn them in a minute. These are from DSW. I got them years ago, like probably
five, four or five years ago. I don't know. It's been a long time. But as usual, I keep it
really simple. I don't have to dress, you know, too fancy for work. Obviously, it's pretty casual.
So just to clarify, I can wear jeans. Hello. I am leaving work. The good thing is it is not
Monday. Feels like a Monday, but it's a Tuesday. Had a decent day. It's really gloomy.
So that's kind of a bummer. Typically on my drive home, I listen to a podcast of some sort.
Today, I'm going to listen to, I just discovered it. I don't even remember her name. I think Kara
is called Style Your Mind. So I'm going to listen to one of those.
All right. I am now home from work. I made a small little bit of
iced coffee. I just had some leftover coffee in my French press. I don't typically do this, but
that sounded amazing right now. And then I'm going to have my pre-workout snack,
just a banana and a Larabar. So once I finish eating this, I'm going to film a video.
A sit down video. And it's going to be like a financial update.
I don't film a sit down video very often as if you watch me, you know that. But I first need to
export these files that are on this card to my computer because I don't have enough space on
here. I have another SD card, but it's not compatible with this camera. So I do need to
invest in another one, but in due time, this one is working for now. When it comes to sit down
videos, I typically create an outline so that I know what I need to talk about. Um, but yeah,
this is what I do. I just write it down and keep it in front of me so I can look at it while I'm
filming. I like to film in front of the windows, of course. And then I use a tall tripod to help
me with that. All right. Video is done and filmed. Took me like 25 minutes or so because I pause a
lot when I talk and have to think and have to correct myself, but I'm going to change into my
workout clothes, go do chest triceps and cardio, maybe some abs. I don't know, but I'm excited
because I am behind on YouTube videos and I'm going to watch a full 30 minutes of YouTube videos
while I do my cardio. So that's a tip right there. If you want cardio to go by faster than watch
YouTube videos, I will see you in a bit. This made my dinner. It's so gloomy out. It doesn't
look like it, but it's raining. It's 6 PM. Um, I filmed a full day of eating with this
in that video. So I'll link that down below if you're interested. It's so good,
but I'm going to eat this and get some work done. I stay organized by using a planner. I've talked
about this before. This is just like a simple one from Target. That's where I prefer to get
my planners as of this year. Uh, but I just write everything down either the Sunday before or like
kind of as I go. Uh, so I made my list for today. Today's Tuesday. And then like anything that I
didn't finish from the previous day, I highlight in pink to move to some other day in the week,
but I haven't completely planned it out. Um, I'm filming my day in the life. That's this. I wrote
a section of my course this morning, so I'll write another one, uh, now or, you know, tonight.
And then I was thinking of blog posts ideas earlier. Uh, so I think I have some ideas. I want
to come up with a couple of Patreon ideas and I'll probably post those like on my Patreon for my
patrons to vote on which one they would want me to talk about this week. And then I want to email,
uh, your best self, which is the, the creators of this. Well, they sell,
they sell this book and, um, yeah, I wrote a review on this, which I will link down below
and I wanted to reach out so they can possibly share it. And maybe, uh, I don't know. I'm just
going to reach out and see what happens because why the hell not? So that's the list for tonight.
And if I have the time, I will edit my back workout that I did not get to. And these are
like just my like three top priorities for the week. So let's do it. All right. So that's done.
We'll cross this out and I scheduled this. Okay. So it is currently 8 31 PM and I have finished
everything on my to-do list. So happy about it. Now at this point, I typically, I typically work
until like 9 PM, but after that I go and I do the dishes. I tidy up my apartment a little bit,
and then I brush my teeth, read gratitude journal and, you know, get in bed. I did want to clarify,
and I have talked about this before, I'm pretty sure, but this is how I prefer to live my life.
And I know some people can see, would look at this and think that it sucks and it's not fun.
But to me, I thrive off of productivity and doing shit for myself. I choose to come home and
do more work because it's for myself and I love doing it. Even on, there's some days that I don't
love doing it, but like, I'm not going to stop. And I know what I want in life. And this is what
I think is necessary for me to achieve that. And, you know, other people may not agree, but this is
how I prefer to live my life. Like if you want something in life, it doesn't just come to you.
So, you know, in order to balance a full-time job and manage multiple other things, you know,
my personal development, my health, my fitness, my relationship, my, all my side hustles, like,
it takes a lot of effort. And so all of my days look different, but this is pretty productive
for me. I know I didn't show myself working from, you know, 6 p.m. until now, but I just literally
am on my computer. This is where I sit. Like I come home, I do what I have to do, go to the gym,
all that stuff. And this is where I sit and do everything because that's just what I do. And I go
through phases of like being so inspired and motivated and like doing more than other times,
if that makes sense. Like sometimes I'll be posting more on certain platforms or creating
more ideas, creating more content at the same time. And that's kind of the phase that I'm in right now.
So for example, I've already filmed, it's Tuesday, I've filmed four videos in two days. I am literally
like so close to finishing my course. I only have a few more things to write up,
like a few more modules to write up. I did extra today. I even scheduled a Facebook post for
tomorrow. I reached out to that company, like I was saying. I was like researching other things. So
yeah, that's just, that's, I'm in one of those phases and this is something that I thrive off
of and makes me feel better. Don't feel like you need to do all of this if you want to, you know,
be a YouTuber on the side or a blogger on the side. But for me, I find it necessary and I find it,
it's just what I want to do, you know. And by the way, I know I mentioned my
planner, but I also, every year I buy a new notebook. I'm pretty sure I've talked about this
before, but this is my notebook dedicated to like everything. My personal development,
anything that I learn, like any courses I'm working through, coaching, I take notes in here,
any outlines, any plans. I've been keeping track of my stats and progress, things like that. By the
way, I outlined my blog post. This is typically what it looks like. I write down like the sub
headings that I want and then little notes with each. It just depends on the blog post. But yeah,
I literally like put everything in here. Anyways, my camera is about to die, so that is my cue to
end it here. Don't forget to like and subscribe if you have not already. Thank you so much for
watching and I'll see you in my next one.
