How to make Chanko Nabe (Hotpot for Sumo wrestlers) 〜ちゃんこ鍋〜 | easy Japanese home cooking recipe

In this video, I am showing how to make Chanko Nabe, a type of Hotpot that is famous for Sumo wrestlers. Sumo is a traditional Japanese wrestling with the history of over 500 years. For them eating and getting big is part of their training.

In my Channel, I show step by step of alternative but authentic Japanese home cooking, which can be made with the ingredients that are easily available outside of Japan.

Ingredients for Kimbap
Chanko Nabe soup base
- Water 2 Cups
- Dashi powder 5 g
- Soy sauce 1 Tbsp
- Sugar 1-2 Tsp
- Garlic 1 clove
- Ginger 5 g

Meat ball:
- Ground pork (or chicken) 100 g
- Scallion 1 stalk
- Ginger 2 g

Vegetable/meat/fish of your choice:
Nappa cabbage, Cabbage, Carrot, Daikon Radish, Eggplant, Mushrooms (Shiitake, Shimeji, Enoki, oystermushroom, etc.)
