I think... It should be... Working... Let's find out... Why is my KVPS so low right now? Hmmm... Is it working? Oh, OK. I think it got better. I think it got better. I think... I think we fixed it. Yay! We fixed it! Yay! Oakley is like... Can you see Oakley's fur? It's all like wet. She was in the pool. Not by choice. We tried putting Oakley in the pool to see if she would actually like it. So we put like the life jacket on her. And we put... We lifted her up and we kind of like slowly put her into the water. Because we thought maybe it's the walking into the water that she doesn't like. Maybe once she realizes she can swim it won't be so bad. So Jamie and I worked together and we slowly put her into the pool. She did OK. But... This probably only lasted like 30 seconds. She did OK, but then she started to panic. So we just picked her up and took her out of the pool. The nice thing about the dog life jacket that we have is that it has a big handle on it. So he was able to pick her up and I put my arms underneath it. And we just set her down out of the pool. Because apparently Oakley doesn't like swimming. I mean... We knew she didn't really like water. But we thought maybe... Maybe if she realizes she can swim... Nope! She still doesn't like it. Still not her thing. Not her thing at all. To do a super chat, there's a little dollar sign down at the bottom and you just make a little donation to the page and we answer those questions first. I'm not only answering super chat questions. We try to answer as many questions as possible during this live stream. But those ones do take priority because those are people that are choosing to support the channel in other ways. So I hope all that makes sense. Chloe says, you should make merchandise for all the dogs. So we're working on making individual shirts for each dog. So there will be a Memphis shirt and a Shelby shirt and an Oakley shirt. We're working on it. We did that once before with a limited edition shirt and they went over really well, but I would really like something that's going to be in the store for a long time. Something that's not limited edition. Because I know with the limited edition shirts, not everybody can buy a shirt within a two week span. You know, if they want to get one maybe they didn't get paid or maybe they didn't have the extra money that week or whatever. Not everybody can buy one in the two week span. I tried to like change the names and change the thumbnails and stuff. Some people just don't pay close enough attention. We do have two different channels. We have this channel, which is Gone to the Snow Dogs and then we have Snow Dogs Vlogs which is our vlogging channel. That's more of our day in the life type of things with the dogs. Where this is more of a dog channel only. If that makes sense. Thank you to the Wilds family for the super chat. Finally a live video! We try to do live videos every other Friday. Are you going camping anytime soon? Tomorrow! The meteor shower is supposed to be peaking tomorrow. We're actually going camping tomorrow. It might only be for one night. We haven't really decided. I have no idea if anybody else is coming with us. I just invited Press Record today and told them if they wanted to show up, we would be there. I think Charles and Thor might be coming up from Thor Unleashed. I think they might be coming up. They kind of wanted to do the meteor shower too. Maybe they'll come with us. I have no idea. If anything, we haven't gone in over a month. We're going tomorrow, even if it's only for one night. We're going camping. Do Huskies have a waterproof coat? So, kind of. Like, the inner part of their coat dries really fast. It's not necessarily waterproof. When they get in the water, they definitely get wet, but when it's snow and the snow melts on the top of their coat, the guard hairs kind of keep them from getting soaked from the snow. I hope that makes sense. Claire239 says, how do the girls show their love to each other? Like this! They all hang out together. Also, this was something I was supposed to say at the beginning. Shelby's birthday video went up on Wednesday. We did a DIY birthday cake on Monday and we did her birthday video on Wednesday. Links to both of those are up in the cards above. If you sent something to Shelby for her birthday and it did not show up before Wednesday, it will end up in next week's Fan Friday. I had a couple of people that said, I sent something and it wasn't in the video. It probably didn't show up. I actually went to the PO Box Wednesday morning at like 10 in the morning after we get our mail delivered at the PO Box. So everything that showed up by Wednesday went in Shelby's birthday video and anything that showed up after, like I said, will be going in next week's Fan Friday. Don't give up on getting Oakley in the pool. The river princess says, don't give up on getting Oakley in the pool. We're not giving up. I... Like I said, she didn't freak out too much. Once she got out of the pool, like when you guys see the vlog on Snow Dogs Vlogs on Monday, once she got out of the pool and then we took the life jacket off of her, she did zoomies around the backyard. It was the funniest thing. It was like... It had to have felt good, because she didn't like... There was no like major anxiety attack. There was no nothing. She was like oh my gosh, now I want to play and she was running around and she was jumping over the holes in the yard and it was... Jamie and I didn't really know how to react. We're like... She doesn't act like that very often. So, I think she liked the way it felt. I just don't think she liked being in the water. So I think we'll work on it. I think we might take her to the lake with a lot of food and see when we can get her to follow us into the water. Maybe that will work a little bit better. Treat video went up on Monday. But usually only once a year, if that. We use the blower so much, we really don't have to give them a bath. Which cracks me up too, cause every time you ask Shelby if she wants a bath, she freaks out like we're actually gonna give her a bath. That almost never happens. Dun dun dun dun! Cotton candy for dogs. That could be a lot of sugar. But I guess I thought marshmallows was gonna be a lot of sugar and then we figured out a way to make it not so much sugar. So, maybe. It's my favorite treat that we've made. Oh my gosh! I don't know, the watermelon treats is our most popular video but the gingerbread dog houses that Jamie helped me make. Those are my favorite because I was so sure that they weren't going to work and I was so stressed out and I think I even cried because I didn't think that they were going to work and then Jamie came in and saved the day and they turned out like of all the ones I've taken pictures of that one by far is my favorite. They turned out so stinking cool. Is Nora going to come over soon? I have no idea. Maybe she'll come camping with us but I have no idea. Is Jamie part Polish? I don't think Jamie has Polish in his heritage at all. Parody videos are really hard because I have to find somebody to make the music for us and then it's really hard because sometimes even if they make the music for us, YouTube still will take away monetization on it. So you put like a ton of work into a video and then you can't monetize it so that kind of sucks. Especially if you put money into making the video. So I haven't done any of those in a really long time. But maybe, maybe sometime again soon we'll do it. We are only gonna run this live stream until five o'clock today because Jamie and I do have a car show that we're going to hopefully get to before the rain comes. There's Jamie. And a wild Jamie appears in the corner. It's cause they all got wore out. Oakley hasn't even moved. She's like, I'm just sleeping right here. You guys should have seen her running around. Yeah, we should have filmed more of that. I didn't even know what to do though. Yeah, I was having too much fun watching her. I was concerned cause she was running around the A-frame so fast. We didn't want her to hit her head or trip in a hole. Yeah, all the holes were kind of full except for the one she was digging. But still, she gets so klutzy when she's high strong, it's crazy. It was pretty nuts. I was glad to see her do that after we put her in the pool. She didn't seem mad at us or anything. She just, like I said, she kind of had a bunch of fun afterwards. Yeah, it was like you just gave her a bunch of Mountain Dew and Pixie Stix and shook her off and let her go. I'm sure it felt great on her belly. I think so. That's why I didn't dry her off right away either. I figured that probably still felt good. I'm like, I'll dry it off after. Yeah, the other girls are tired too. Shelby was frozen out there with the life jacket on. Oh yeah, I forgot about that. Yeah, cause as soon as we let Oakley out, we were gonna put Shelby in and we got caught up watching Oakley running around like crazy and we put the life vest on Shelby and she just kind of stayed in the little yard. Yep. She was like, oh I cannot move. She's frozen like kryptonite. Frozen like kryptonite. Is Oakley a mama's girl or a daddy's girl? I don't know. I think she gravitates towards you more unless she has to go outside. Like in the morning she tends to come wake me up. Like she walks right past you. Yeah, that is true. She does ignore me more often than Jessica and she does pay extra attention to Jessica. Like where I'm at. Yeah, like if you get up and go in the kitchen, she'll follow you in the kitchen. But when it comes to like affection, she always goes to you. Yeah, for pets and stuff. She always goes to you. Where like Memphis is always at me. Shelby's kind of bold. Yeah, because I can remember you coming up to me and going oh my gosh, you couldn't believe it. Oakley let me like scratch her and she was like loving it or whatever. And I'm like, ah, that's weird because she did that to me the other day. She has her days. She has her days where she really really wants to be petted and then she has her days where she just doesn't. She's just like, eh. It's funny that she doesn't move though. Yeah, she's tired. She was running. I mean she was like seriously running. Why is it? What kind of camera do you use? A Canon G 7X Mark II. Well, if she grabbed my phone, I could verbally answer comments and I wouldn't have to type. Oh, that's true too, yeah. See, I can rattle through a lot of questions but it'd be a repeat every time. Right. Oh, there's the best question ever. Why are Greg and Shelby so close? That is a good question. So, when we had Shiloh, before we had Shelby, Greg lived with us and Greg was really close with Shiloh. And then we got Shelby and Greg moved out not long after we got Shelby. He used to live in our basement at our old house. So not long after we got Shelby, Greg moved out. Greg, for lack of a better word, hated Shelby. He didn't like how crazy she was and she would jump up on him every time he would come over. Oh, if you ask him... Greg's not a dog person. He's really not. And he didn't like Shelby at all. She was that high-strung puppy. She always jumped on him. She always would, you know, bite at his hands so he would pay attention to her. He would always ignore her and he would always go straight to Shiloh. Always. And he barely ever petted Shelby. He barely ever gave her attention or anything. And then after Shiloh passed away and we had just Shelby and Oakley, when Greg would come over, Shelby was very different. I mean, not just that she matured, cause she did mature, but she was very different towards him. It was like she treated him with that crazy affection but she contained herself from like jumping on him and being a psycho. It really could be the fact that Shelby had witnessed Greg and Shiloh having that bond and that connection and then when Shiloh was gone, there was nobody to fill that bond and that connection. You know, there wasn't another dog paying attention to this person. Right. So she just kind of started gravitating towards Greg like heavily. Crazy. See, Greg is by far Shelby's favorite person. Oh yeah, for sure. Which is funny because Eric was Shiloh's favorite person. Our friend Eric was Shiloh's favorite person more than anybody else. Shiloh used to freak out like that with Eric and now Memphis does that when Eric comes over. Yeah. Because Eric will come over and he'll one of these days I will have to ask him if it's okay to film it. Cause Eric doesn't super like being on camera. But I'm sure he'll let me film it. Um, Eric will actually pick Memphis up and flip her and flip her upside down and hold her like a baby. And it's the cutest thing and she absolutely loves it. Yeah, she runs right Oh, she runs straight to Memphis. Just like when Greg comes in the door Shelby will run to Greg but when Eric comes in the door Memphis will run to Eric. Run straight to him. You need your nails kipped. You need those nails kipped. Kip them nails. Yeah, it's crazy. It's crazy the way they act towards people. It's really interesting. You woke up to Oakley. She's like, oh man I woke up and my feet are wet so I gotta lick them. I gotta be cat like. Did you know Huskies are cat like? If they get wet they'll clean themselves like cats do. She's like, oh I got to clean all of this wet stuff. It would be a good time to use a blower. Yeah, it would be a good time to use a blower. I have to wait though cause she's When we get back from the car show I will. Don't remind them. Don't remind them that it's five o'clock. I know what time it is. I can see the clock. Another question. Do people think they're wolves? Yes. Yep. All the time. Anytime we're ever in a state park or a nature preserve or something. Anytime we're walking. On a walkway in nature that's the most common time we get it. Anybody between the ages of walking and ten or twelve, maybe ten they'll always they'll not always say it but it's usually they go, ah they're wolves. Yeah, we hear that a lot. Are they wolves? Somebody wants to know how you learned all of your housing slash car knowledge. Hands on. I've told them that so many times now. Sometimes you just got to do. Yeah, when I was five I had a toy car that you could push down on it and the wheels would make an electric connection and the lights would flash and it was a police car so you'd push down on it and it'd go, woo woo woo woo and it was, I mean just a toy, little toy car. Well, it quit working one day when I was like five years old and I took it in the closet in the dark and I took it all apart and I figured out what wire was broken at five years old and it fixed it. And I connected it back together. Jamie's just really good at problem solving. Which is good because. And I never was in school. It's a different type of problem though. No, it's the same type of problem solving I just didn't have any interest in solving problems for a math class. Right. But I mean if you put me hands on and put a situation in front of me, I can problem solve it. And he's really good at that which is nice because I'm not. I'm the opposite. Like, I get frustrated if something isn't working the way that I think it's supposed to in my head and I'm just like, I'm done. And you know, that's the best way to attempt it. Yeah, except I don't go back to it. I just quit. Well, that's the thing. At least you tried though. I'm like, we'll make somebody else do this. Right? Yeah, pretty much hands on. Lots of reading.
