Leaving the vet's office with no dog!
I just dropped Oakley off at the vet's office for surgery.
I didn't get any video of while dropping her off,
cause it was dark and you couldn't really see anything.
So, I just dropped her off for surgery.
She's getting that tumor thing off of her eye.
She's getting her teeth cleaned.
They're gonna trim her nails.
And a microchip, cause she doesn't have a microchip.
So, it's really bright.
So, I'm getting her a microchip also.
Now, I'm on my way back to work.
So, I'll update you guys later on how she's doing.
Well, Oakley's home from surgery.
She does have to wear a cone, but I have her outside with it off for a little bit right now.
Show me your eye, Oakley.
Come here!
She got five stitches in her eye.
It was more than they thought that she was gonna have to get.
But, the bump was a little bit bigger than they thought.
But, she's doing pretty good.
She doesn't like her cone though.
There's Oakley with her cone on.
She doesn't like it.
Shiloh and Shelby are not too sure what to think about it.
They keep checking it out.
Oh, she's got a cone on. What's the deal?
We have to take it off of her when she eats.
If we're sitting right with her, like on the couch and stuff, we take it off of her.
What do you think, Oakley?
I know.
She's on two different kinds of...
Oh no, she's on one pain medicine.
She's got to take twice a day and then she's got some cream we got to put in her eye for twice a day.
Seven days you got to wear that cone, baby.
Seven days.
It's March 17th.
It's St. Patrick's Day.
And that thermometer is reading like 74 degrees.
That's insanity.
Hey look, there's Oakley this morning.
Hi Oakley.
She's doing much better now that we took the cone off.
We've just been keeping her in the same room as us.
We've taken the cone off and she's not...
She's not scratching at her eye so much.
Can I show them?
Yeah, I know.
Five stitches in her eye.
She's doing better.
Yeah, she is.
Shiloh's in there sleeping.
So it's Sunday.
Let me see.
Her eye is running a little bit.
Let me see, Oakley.
Look, look, look.
Come here.
Her eye is running a little bit.
Look this way.
You can kind of see where it's leaky a little still.
But other than that, she's looking real good.
She hasn't been scratching at it at all.
She's got nice clean teeth.
Shelby's always got to put her tail in your face, huh?
But yeah, she's doing good.
We actually haven't been keeping the cone on her much.
I didn't even put it on her when she went to bed last night.
She hasn't been bugging it at all.
Oakley's doing good.
She's doing good, huh?
Shiloh and Shelby are doing good too.
Good job, Oakley.
Everybody's hoping you heal soon.
I can't wait until she gets those stitches taken out.
Not real fun looking at those, huh?
Not real fun looking at those stitches.
Let's see your stitches.
Now you can see it real good when she holds still.
What do you think, huh?
Shelby, are you eating the grass?
Not at all.
OK, let's go eat some dinner.
Time to feed your girls dinner.
Let's go.
