This is Anzor and it's Fan Friday!
Up close Shelby!
It's time for Fan Friday!
First thing for Fan Friday!
If you have not watched Monday's video, go back and do so.
We are giving away a drop cam.
All the information is in Monday's video.
To tell you, how you could possibly win one!
Super Up Close Memphis!
Second thing for Fan Friday!
Yes, we link camping!
Yes, there are camping videos coming!
If you want to see some of them,
one has already been uploaded to YouTube.com
slash WithoutTheSnowDogs.
Head on over there and be sure to subscribe!
We will be uploading a few here also,
but the main full camping videos
will be going over there.
Miley Carrot from Instagram says,
If you have a container for dog food,
what kind do you have and can you show it to us?
Yes, I can! Hold on just a second!
This is the container that I use for dog food.
I can put a link down in the video description
to where you can buy it.
It is a sealed container.
There's a little seal all the way around it.
This one holds a forty pound bag of dog food.
You know, it's not time to eat yet.
It's made by Iris, I believe.
They are made in the USA.
I'll put a link down in the video description to show you guys.
They come in different sizes. I love it!
If Memphis would move here.
It's even got wheels on it.
I love it! Works good for us!
Tiago Beelum says,
I'm getting my first Husky this Saturday.
Any advice on leaving him alone while I'm at work
since I don't have a crate?
Do they cry at night and need to go to the bathroom?
First advice?
You better get a crate. Soon!
If you're getting that Husky puppy soon,
you want to get a crate.
Other advice would be, use a...
Maybe one room that they can be confined to.
Then they can chew on the walls.
They can chew on the door frames.
They can chew on pretty much anything they can get their teeth on.
I would advise getting a crate.
Do they cry during the night and need to go to the bathroom?
Yes, they cry during the night.
Yes, they need to go to the bathroom during the night.
Memphis was really good at that.
She was about six months old.
She liked to wake us up all the time.
So yes, they will cry at night
and they will need to go to the bathroom.
We have a video up on potty training.
If you go to our main channel, you can find it.
That will probably help answer
some of those questions about crying at night
and needing to use the bathroom.
BlueRocket94 says,
I was wondering if you ever considered
doing a fan meet up, where your fans can meet
the dogs in person and bring their dogs
to meet your dogs.
We have talked about doing it. Maybe not with other people
bringing their dogs to meet our dogs.
Just them meeting a lot of different people
is going to be a lot on them.
I don't think I'd want a bunch of other dogs
in with a mix of everybody else.
It is something we have talked about.
We actually are possibly considering
going to the Pet Expo
in Novi, Michigan this year.
We may get a booth and may do something
down there to let people come and meet the dogs.
Actually, while we were camping
last weekend, we ran into a couple of people
that knew who the dogs were.
They got to take their pictures and meet them.
Sometimes you may just find us
out in the world.
It is something we have talked about.
I don't know. Maybe someday.
The girls do like to travel and go camping.
You do! You do like to go camping,
don't you?
Michelle says,
This one!
Probably because she's a puppy.
She's definitely the most energetic
and can jump the highest.
She can jump off the couch and over both girls
and land way over there.
I have yet to catch her doing it on video,
but I've seen her do it.
Madison Maverick 2002 says,
How do I get my Husky pup to stop panting?
You don't really get a dog
to stop panting.
Kind of what they do.
Panting for them is, I guess,
more of a way of sweating.
Mine do it all the time.
Maybe it's just too hot.
If they've been running around
and doing a lot, they'll pant.
It's kind of part of having a dog.
That's a very odd question.
I've never been asked that question before.
Jack 13 from Instagram says,
Where did you get your Springer?
If you go down in the video description,
there's going to be a lot of links down there today.
If you go down in the video description,
I'll have a link to where you can purchase a Springer.
I still have plans to do a video
with the girls and showing you
introducing Memphis to the Springer.
But, we've been camping.
Speaking of camping,
Stephanie says,
Was this the first time you went camping in Ohio?
Yes!
For those of you that don't know,
we camped at Hocking Hills State Park in Ohio.
After the videos we put up
this Monday and Wednesday,
a lot of you are wondering
when Memphis is going to be allowed
out of her kennel while we are gone.
Are you going to go in your kennel
and show them how much you like it?
I really don't know.
Shiloh was only in her kennel
until she was about a year old.
Shelby was in her kennel
until she was almost four years old.
Memphis is probably not
as destructive as Shelby was.
So...
What?
So, maybe...
I don't know...
Not yet! Not yet, huh?
I saw you standing on the table
while I was out in the backyard.
That means, you could get on the counter.
That means, you could get in lots of trouble.
So, not yet!
What? Are you trying to tell me, no way?
See mom? She's still going to attack me
and wrestle with me and chew on me.
Don't leave her out yet.
I need my peace and quiet while you are gone.
Yeah?
Is that what you're telling me?
I understand Shelby!
I totally get it! I totally do!
Anything else?
OK!
This is Aubrey's Husky.
Aubrey says,
I have a Husky and I see how much bigger your Huskies are
than my little girl. My little girl is still very small.
The vet says, she's all finished growing.
Do you know how this could have happened?
Well, how small is she?
Because Shiloh was only...
At most, Shiloh weighed thirty-eight pounds.
But, a lot of times she averaged
right around thirty-five or thirty-six pounds.
Female Huskies can be as small as
thirty-five pounds.
So, how small is she?
Oakley is probably a little bit bigger
because she
possibly could have Malamute in her.
Shelby is a little bit bigger
because she just had a really bad breeder
who didn't conform to standards.
Memphis is actually
a pretty good size. She's forty-nine pounds.
So, I don't know.
I would have to know
the weight of your dog because by the photo
your dog does not look too small to me.
Jack wants to know
if an electric fence will work for a Husky?
From all the things
that I've heard, they don't work very well
for Huskies. Anybody out there
that may have a Husky and an electric fence?
Now, this does make a difference.
You have to have a Husky and an electric fence.
Tell us if it worked for you.
Electric fences do work for some dogs
but not all dogs.
Huskies are pretty darn smart.
Brianda
I'm sorry if I said that name wrong,
had a really awesome question.
I was wondering if you let your girls
drink from natural waters
like when you take them to the beach, streams
river waters. My girl loves water
and every time we're out exploring
and there's a natural water source
we worry she might get sick.
She's never gotten sick before
and she's very healthy and athletic like your girls.
Any suggestions other than not allowing her near water?
Really Shelby?
We're trying to do Fan Friday.
You're interrupting the question. What do you think?
Do you like drinking water from streams?
Here's my advice on this. Never, ever, ever
ever, ever
I'm trying to tell them. I'm telling them.
I am.
Don't let them drink standing water.
If it's flowing water, good flowing water
in a stream or from a waterfall
or in a river, most of the time
you'll be okay. Make sure it's cold water
but if it's water that had a chance
to get really hot or if it's standing water
Stop it.
If it's standing water
I'm telling them.
Shelby really wants to tell you herself.
Standing water, not safe.
Running water should be fairly safe.
Don't let them drink too much of it
but letting them drink little amounts should be okay.
You can also talk to your vet about this.
Shelby, I'm telling them.
What else do you want me to tell them?
You're going to make the audience deaf.
Is that it? Did you get that out of your system?
Thanks Shelby.
Marvin asks
and actually a few other people asked this on Instagram
I think it was too.
What kind of food do you feed your dogs?
All of our dogs eat Dr. Tim's
Kinesis.
All of them, right?
Dr. Tim is from Michigan
and that is one of the reasons we picked that food.
We also picked that food because it is rated
five stars on dogfoodadvisor.com
It's actually a really good food
and all the girls really like it.
Plus, we get to support a company from Michigan
and we like that because that's where we live.
Tabitha Dawn says
I want to take my three Huskies camping
and I've looked at a few places.
My concern is, some places say they have to be quiet
or you will be asked to leave.
Do you ever have problems with girls making too much noise
while camping or any advice
to help make it a fun time for all?
I kind of talked about this
a little bit in my preparing to camp
with your dog video.
Yes, most campgrounds have
a quiet time that starts around ten o'clock.
At least a lot of the state campgrounds
and things like that. Some private campgrounds
their rules are a little bit different.
Our girls are usually very good
and quiet. If there's other dogs
or lots of people moving around and they have a tendency
to want to make noise, we usually
just put a little peanut butter in their congs
and kind of let them hang out or
if it's really bad and there's lots going on
we'll put them in the camper for a little while
so that they can kind of have a chance to calm down.
Basically, if you have something for them
to do, you know, give them a cong
give them a treat, you know
a chew toy or something
that can help keep them quiet
or just hook them up and take them
for a walk. Because sometimes that
helps the most. That's basically
what we did this weekend. We just walked our dogs
so they were too tired to do anything but sleep.
Leah had an awesome question.
When you reach a hundred thousand
subscribers on YouTube and you receive your
YouTube play button, where do you plan to hang it?
Well, I'm very glad that
you're optimistic that we're going to reach that number.
I guess this channel has been growing pretty good.
We probably will reach it someday.
I believe we're going to wrestle.
I haven't put too much thought about it
since we're only a little over half way there.
But as we get closer
I will definitely have to figure that out.
Share this video with your friends
and help us get closer.
We got some mail!
Oakley, I see one that's just
for you!
We got a package
from Mel, full of stuff!
Most of which is birthday gifts for Oakley.
Mel wants to know,
when we're out in public with Oakley
if we have to ask people not to touch her
or if she does well
Oh! Look how cute that is!
Or if she does well with other people.
Oakley actually does fairly well
with other people. The biggest thing with her
is you can't... We always
have to warn people when they go to pet her
and she really doesn't want to be petted.
We just kind of tell them, you know
she's got a little bit of anxiety
she just doesn't really want to be petted
but she's never
aggressive or jumps away
from people. She kind of just stands closer to us
and then sometimes people walk up
and they go to pet her and she's like the happiest dog
in the world. So we don't tell people not
to pet her because we think it's good for her
but if she does try to stray away
from them a little bit, we usually just kind of
inform them that she's a little bit different.
Look at tasty treats!
We'll open those in a second.
What else is in here? Oh my goodness!
More treats!
Hey, we should take these camping with us.
And more treats!
And even more treats!
Some of these we're going to have to pack and take
camping with us. That's what I think.
Oakley's going to take that. Hey! I have to get the plastic off!
Mel, I think she likes that one.
And Oakley got another
birthday card. This is from BC
from Singapore with
a plush puppy. Hold on, let me open it.
Here you go Oakley.
That's for you. Oh look, there you go.
She's got it. That's for you.
Oh, she's
going to take it into her kennel.
And some awesome cookie cutters.
Which means we're going to have to make some cookies.
We got an awesome
drawing and a letter from
Ellie and Ellie wants to know
what color can
Huskies be? Well as you can tell
by seeing our three girls,
Huskies come in all kinds of colors.
There's black and white. There's silver
and white. There's sable and white.
There's red and white. There's
copper and white. There's in a goudy
pattern. There's a
brown and
tan, which is very very
rare. There's not a lot of them.
They come in all white. They come in
all kinds of different colors.
You can actually go to a website called
HuskyColors.com and look at
all kinds of pictures that
of different color Huskies.
Check it out. I think you'll like it.
We had an awesome letter from
Nick and Brooke with
a drawing of
Shiloh by Brooke
which is just awesome. You have some
serious talent. And I even
even the font that you did is just
awesome. And one of
their questions was, what is the funniest
things that your dogs have ever done?
This is always a really hard question
for me to answer because they do so many silly things
that just crack me up.
Like, are you
going to do something funny Memphis? You can play with that.
That was pretty funny.
Memphis jumping off the couch makes me
laugh. Her being afraid of the basement
makes me laugh. Shelby being
scared of a rock makes me laugh.
They do all kinds of funny things.
Oakley being upside down. Oakley makes me
laugh. So I don't know what the funniest
thing they have ever done is.
But they sure do a lot of fun things.
They make me laugh. I hope they
make you guys laugh and smile too.
Right? That's part of
our goal here. To make you guys
smile. You guys
make me smile, so we're going to share you with the
audience so you can make them smile too.
Sound like a plan? That's the plan.
And we got a letter and a drawing
of Shiloh the Angel from Emma.
That's pretty cool. Emma wants to know how we came
up with the dogs names.
Shelby, Memphis and Shiloh
are all named after Civil War
battlefields and Oakley came
with her name. That makes a really long
story short. And we got
an awesome drawing of Oakley
from Raina. Raina, you did
really good! Right down
to her little freckles.
It says, sorry I don't have a blue marker for Oakley's eyes.
That's okay. Black and white is just as
beautiful. And we got some
awesome drawings from Allie, one of
Shelby, one of Oakley
and one of Memphis.
Allie wants to know what Shelby's color is
considered. She's considered a sable in
white. She also wants to know how she
can help her dog stop shedding.
You can't really stop them from shedding.
It's just kind of part of being
a dog. Oops! Almost forgot
the drawing of Shiloh.
Alright you guys, that's all we have
for Fan Friday today. Thanks for watching.
Thanks for subscribing.
The camping videos will be going up soon.
We got a couple of other videos going up.
Like I said, you can go to our vlog channel. Be sure to
subscribe while you're over there at
YouTube.com slash WithoutTheSnowDogs to see
full versions of the camping videos.
We are taking the girls camping
again very soon.
So, we'll have even more camping footage.
We're not going as far this time
and we're definitely not going to be doing as cool
of stuff as we did down in Ohio.
But, we will still take videos of the girls
while camping.
Alright you guys!
Thanks for watching! Thanks for subscribing!
Stay positive and dream big!
And we'll see you soon!
Goodbye! Thanks for hitting the camera
Memphis! You're such a
good dog!
Are you out of water? Ok, I'll come get you some water.
Goodbye!
You're a little snow dog!
Good girl! Good girl!
Come and join me at night time!
Bye!
