At first, it looks unusual. This house is lifted more than two meters above the ground, but it’s not a design choice, It’s a response.

The Narula House was built next to a river that floods regularly. So instead of fighting the water, the house adapts.

It lifts itself above the ground, allowing water to pass underneath.

Inside, the layout is organized around a central courtyard, separating social and private areas.

A simple idea, solving a real problem.

Architecture that responds instead of resisting.
