A Forgotten Forest House Transformed Into a Modern Masterpiece | Reborn

Once Upon a Time in the Perche House is a thoughtful renovation by Java Architecture that transforms a modest 1970s family home into a contemporary retreat while preserving its original character. Instead of rebuilding, the project enhances the existing structure with timber-clad extensions, expansive glazing, improved energy performance, and flexible living spaces that strengthen the connection between the interior and the surrounding forest. The result is a timeless home that demonstrates how adaptive reuse, sustainable design, and respect for the landscape can breathe new life into an ordinary house.
