Waiting For The Big Storm (It Finally Happened)
It is officially Snow Watch 2026 here at the house! We started the morning with green grass and a forecast predicting anywhere from 6 to 10 inches of fresh snow over the next two days. This massive winter storm is actually one of the main reasons we decided to cancel our trip to Las Vegas. We didn't want to get stuck away from the girls or risk flight delays, and honestly, seeing the snow start to fall makes it all worth it! We take you through the entire day, hour by hour, checking the accumulation on the deck and, more importantly, checking the snow accumulation on the dogs backs!
Memphis, Kira, and Eleanor are absolutely loving the changing weather. While we waited for the flakes to get bigger, the girls had a serious case of the zoomies inside the house! You have to see them going crazy while Dad was just trying to relax on the couch. As the day turned into night, the snow really started coming down, covering all the ice from yesterday. There is nothing quite like seeing a Siberian Husky covered in fresh snowflakes.
Also in today's vlog, we finally unbox our Christmas presents to each other! I know it is January, but shipping delays meant they just arrived. If you are a hockey fan, you are going to love this reveal. We got the new Detroit Red Wings Centennial Jerseys! We show off the amazing details on the DeBrincat and Seider jerseys just in time to watch the Wings take a huge 4-0 win. It was the perfect cozy snow day filled with hockey, huskies, and winter vibes.
