God Mentioned Michelangelo and Showed Me a Missing Relic

But this is what I heard February 21st, a Michelangelo came up missing.
So sometimes God gives you a skill, a gift, an ability, a talent
if you're interested in studying the scripture.
But sometimes people say, well, that means you're supposed to be a pastor.
Well, maybe not.
Maybe you're not called to be a pastor on a stage or of a church.
Maybe you're called a pastor in your home or in a career, in a job
or among your peers.
But the Lord asked me to talk about the story of Enoch.
So I'm going to do that.
And you know, this is Troy Black.
So I got a word from the Lord.
This is a word of knowledge about something that's going to take place
that has to do with possibly a very famous work of art,
whether a sculpture or painting.
And the Lord specifically mentioned the artist Michelangelo.
So this is very interesting.
And I'm just getting this impression that this is going to be
one of those things where when people see what takes place and what happens,
they're going to say, I heard the word about that before it happened.
One of those very clear signs from the Lord.
So if you are in a place where you need that today as a believer
and you're saying, Lord, I need a Gideon moment, I need a sign.
The Lord actually wants to give you that.
And it happens in your quiet time with the Lord.
Like God can use a word of knowledge or a prophetic word or something like this.
We see signs and wonders happening in the earth today.
Absolutely. A healing, even the signs of the times that we live in.
But more than anything else, God wants to confirm
what he's asking you to do and where he's called you to be
and what he's designed you for in the secret place.
And that's just his Holy Spirit reassuring you and being the assurance you need.
He is the assurance that we belong to God,
but also that we're doing the will of God as well.
And we're walking in his ways.
It's his nearness and his presence that the Lord desires for us to carry.
You know, and there's no shortcut to that.
It's just surrendering to what Jesus did.
And if there is a shortcut, it's just it's Jesus has finished work.
And that's it's resting and abiding in Christ daily
and believing in what he did for us.
But then if you're not a Christian or maybe you've been in church,
but you know that you don't have a real relationship with God,
God wants to give you an assurance and a sign and a wonder that he's actually there.
This is what the Lord did for me many years ago.
Jeremiah 29, 13 says, you will seek me and find me
when you search for me with all your heart.
If you begin to seek the Lord with your whole heart, you say, Lord,
if you're there, I want to know you.
God is going to reveal himself to you and he's going to reveal
the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ to you.
And the Lord wants you to come home more than anything else.
He loves you. He made you with a purpose and a calling.
And he's got a beautiful plan for your life.
And the world is going to lie to you and say, this is how you get fulfilled.
There's nothing else that's going to fulfill you except for Jesus Christ.
Jesus said, I am the way, the truth and life.
No one comes to the father except through me.
You were designed to walk with God, to be in fellowship with him, to be God's friend.
And nothing's going to fulfill you until you get to that place.
And we get there by repenting of our sin,
believing in what Jesus did for us at the cross.
It's a very simple decision, but it's a hard decision.
But I'm appealing to you as a friend today. Don't wait.
Call upon the name of the Lord.
Believe in what Jesus did for you.
And you're going to find more fulfillment than you've ever found in your entire life.
And yes, there's trials, too, to being a believer.
But God is with us.
And when God is with us, who can be against us, the word says.
So this is what I heard February 21st.
And right before that, I do want to share.
This is my new book, Mystery of the New Babylon.
If you haven't grabbed a copy,
I highly encourage you to read some of the reviews on Amazon.com.
We've got some fantastic reviews coming back in about this book.
It talks about the end times, eschatology, and I actually show a prophetic parallel
between ancient Babylon and some of the systems that have arisen today
and actually show not just scripturally,
but historically speaking, some of these patterns that we've seen of Babylon,
which is this metaphor for a system of rebellion against God.
But it's also a real system as well.
You know, and I show that taking place in so many different ways,
but specifically through the digital age that we live in, through the Internet,
through AI, through all of these different things.
So if you're a Christian, you're trying to make sense of what's going on.
How do I interact with this world in which we live?
We actually have wisdom from God in the scripture and through prophecy as well
as to how to do that, and so I share a lot of that in that book.
But this is what I heard February 21st, a Michelangelo came up missing.
So Michelangelo, very famous painter and sculptor and artist,
you know, produced many different types of art.
But this is what I heard, a Michelangelo came up missing.
And the impression I got was this is a word of knowledge
about something that's going to be taking place.
And whether it's Michelangelo specifically or not,
I believe it's going to be on that level.
So I'm not sure exactly how to interpret this, but seems likely
that something related specifically to Michelangelo.
But then I heard just like that, it was gone out of place,
found somewhere wandering about, almost like it had legs of its own.
And I got this impression that there would be some symbolism to that language,
almost like it had legs of its own.
Right. Obviously, a painting or a sculpture can't get up and walk away.
But there's something to that, you know, that that it's metaphorical language.
Then I heard Michelangelo encountered, quote unquote, heaven in a way
no other person of his time did, and he shares it with those listening today.
So I do need to bring some explanation to this.
The Lord showed me.
But what were some of the things he did?
Well, some of the things that Michelangelo did was he painted
the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel and he painted The Last Judgment,
which is like a large painting on one of the wall, on the altar wall
in that chapel.
And the ceiling is considered by many to be a cornerstone work of the Renaissance
and that artistic time period, one of the most famous paintings
and pieces of art that we have from history.
And it depicts nine scenes from the book of Genesis.
And then The Last Judgment depicts the second coming of Christ
and the final judgment.
And so you've got all of these biblical narratives
that have been painted by this master of his craft from history.
Right. And it's showing two things.
Well, it's showing, obviously, some of the stories from the Bible
and what's coming, the second coming.
But it's also showing the skill
and in some cases, the anointing that God is able to give humankind
to be able to express his glory on the earth.
This is Exodus 31.
One, it says, Then the Lord said to Moses, Look, I have specifically chosen
Bezalel, son of Uri, grandson of her, of the tribe of Judah.
I have filled him with the spirit of God,
giving him great wisdom, ability and expertise in all kinds of crafts.
So there is something that God has designed you to do as a believer,
as a Christian.
And even if you're not, even if you haven't come to Jesus yet,
God has a good plan for your life.
He's also given you skills and knowledge and an ability.
And when we seek the Lord, God is able to give us more skills,
more knowledge, more ability, or at least point us in the right direction.
Say, OK, I want you to learn how to do this,
or I want you to apply this skill in a way that you haven't thought of before.
And God is actually able to give us creative ideas,
the inspiration of the Holy Spirit and through the wisdom of others
and counsel from other believers to know,
this is how my ability and my passions and my dreams
and my and my skills align up with my calling.
And our calling is always going to be connected to sharing the gospel
in one way or another and building up the church.
But it's more than that.
There is a divine plan that God has already written out about your life
that he wants you to follow.
And it's his best plan. Right.
And listen, none of us are perfect.
And we can mess up steps along the way.
And God is able to improvise. God is able to change.
He says, OK, well, now let's take this route. Now let's do that.
But God has a perfect plan for our lives that he wrote before we even
we were even born.
And the words, the Psalms talk about that. Right.
But here's the thing that the Lord said.
He asked me this question.
Do they see heaven through you?
Talking about what we leave behind for the world to see. Right.
Do they see heaven through you?
Is Jesus shining from your life and even the work that you do,
the things you put your hands to?
Right. It doesn't always have to be like overtly preaching the gospel.
But even when we go to work, well, we do it as unto the Lord.
The word talks about. Right.
And we use it as an opportunity for the Holy Spirit to move through us.
And I heard the Lord say this about Michelangelo.
He said, I'm not saying he was saved.
So the Lord's not addressing his salvation or whether or not
he truly was a Christian or not.
Obviously, he, you know, claimed to be at the time.
Everybody, you know, the the religion of the time was Catholicism.
And, you know, everybody that was a Christian
at that time was part of the Catholic Church or most people. Right.
But this is what the Lord said.
He said, but he tapped into what I called him to perform
with his hands and made the most of it.
So the Lord's talking about how he used the skills that God gave him
to do the things that he had been created to do. Right.
That's what he's talking about.
This is Colossians three.
It says, whatever you do, do your work heartily as for the Lord
and not for people. Right.
And so sometimes the thing that stops us from doing
what we were designed to do is the motivation behind who we're doing it for.
If I'm doing this for people's sake, then I have a propensity
to compromise if the people want me to. Right.
Just like King Saul, he said, you know, the the word from God
to Samuel, the prophet was, don't sacrifice until I show up. Right.
And also, don't take those things for yourselves,
those those animals from the spoils of war.
But Saul took them. Why?
He said, I was afraid of the people, what they thought.
He said, the people are going to think I'm an idiot if I don't do this. Right.
Even though the word of God had told him and told him not to do that.
So he took some and he, quote unquote, sacrificed it to God.
He thought, like, well, this excuses it. Right.
This justifies it.
But he was ignoring the word of the Lord.
So sometimes God gives you a skill, a gift, an ability, a talent,
whatever it is, he puts it in your hand, he gives you a talent.
You know, just like the talent from the parable of the talents in scripture,
he gives you something to work with.
And people say, you got to go.
That means you got to go this way with it.
You know, if you're interested in studying the scripture,
sometimes people say, well, that means you're supposed to be a pastor.
Well, maybe not.
Maybe you have the gift of shepherding.
You know, you have that pastoral gift,
but maybe you're not called to be a pastor on a stage or of a church.
Maybe you're called a pastor in your home or in a career, in a job
or among your peers, whatever it may be. Right.
And so we've got to submit the things that we have to the Lord for his leading.
And then he's able to work through everything we submit to him
and take us down the best road possible.
This is what the Lord said.
He said, my work translated through your hands to form something beautiful,
not necessarily a product, but a lasting impact and purpose.
He said, I'm calling you higher to walk with me through the thick and thin
no matter what.
So what is he talking about?
He's saying the thing that matters most is not what we produce,
but it's who we're walking with.
It's our nearness to him.
Jesus said, abide in me and you'll bear much fruit.
Right. Apart from me, you can do nothing.
So even at the end of the day, all the skills and abilities
and talents and dreams and passions,
all those things are worthless without a relationship with him.
Right. Without us staying close to him, the Lord said this.
He said, I bring beauty from ashes and greatness out of difficulty.
So sometimes God requires us to walk down a difficult road.
And we say, Lord, it would have been better if I'd gone this way.
This is hard being obedient.
But God is able to bring beauty from ashes.
He's able to bring greatness out of difficulty.
He's able to even like the story of Joseph.
He said, what you intended for evil, God used for good.
And that was all part of God's plan for Joseph's life.
But it was a good plan, even though it was tough at times.
But it was worth it. God had a purpose.
I got this impression from the Lord that this is a word of knowledge
that he gave me about this Michelangelo thing,
about a work of art or a relic from history.
I just sense the Lord saying this, that something is going to resurface.
It's going to be in the news.
There's going to be a tragedy.
And I'm hearing this phrase, a reoccurring thing,
something that has happened before multiple times in various ways.
With a few different items, it's going to be taking place again.
And there's going to be a confusion and almost like an online battle of sorts
where people are trying to justify their side and weigh into the situation.
So I believe this is going to be a sign for those that need that. Right.
But the Lord asked me to talk about the story of Enoch.
So I'm going to do that.
And I do address that in this book, Mystery of the New Babylon.
Talk about Enoch.
You know, I talk about the Nephilim.
I talk about the different things that were happening on the earth.
Tower of Babel, Nimrod, the things that are happening during that day and age.
But also, how do those things apply to today and what's going on right now?
Some of the ways that some of that stuff is coming back. Right.
But also, who are we meant to be in the midst of a culture
that has walked away from God, is following their own path.
And they're using, you know, the unfortunately,
some of the most skilled people you see today
are not using their gifts and their talents for the Lord.
But they go into the trap of the culture and to the trap
of the devil's agenda for their life.
And they fall to pray to the love of money,
you know, which is the root of all sorts of evil.
And how do we stay out of that? Right.
We are called to be holy.
We're called to be in Babylon, not of Babylon.
And we're called to walk like Enoch in the midst of a perverse generation.
We're called to walk in holiness.
And that happens through the presence and power of the Holy Spirit.
It happens through resting in what Jesus has done and being changed by the gospel.
But it also happens just in nearness to him.
You know, it's staying rooted in the vine.
This is Genesis 5, 24.
It says, Enoch walked with God and he was not, for God took him.
So Enoch in the midst of what else was happening during that time?
Well, you see Genesis, the next chapter, 6, 4,
the Nephilim were on the earth in these days.
And no matter how you interpret that and which scholars you go with,
as far as the interpretation of that,
there were evil things happening on the earth, very, very evil.
Genesis 6, 5 says,
then the Lord saw that the wickedness of mankind was great on the earth
and that every intent of the thoughts of their hearts was only evil continually.
If you want to find that,
you can find a constant source of evil intent by just going online
and going to the right spot.
So, you know, like it's we see the same thing,
the same pattern coming out, emerging again.
Yet Enoch in verse 24 of chapter 5 says, walked with God.
In some translations say Enoch walked faithfully with God.
See, it wasn't, this was not Enoch walking with God on a Sunday, you know,
or like I want, it's like suddenly I'm going to walk with God today.
No, Enoch walked with God, meaning this was the pattern of his life.
This is what he was only about. I'm walking with God.
And listen, my friend, the grace of God is here.
And if you're saying, well, I would, but I failed, or I feel far from God,
or my feelings are telling me this, or, well, you don't understand.
I messed up God's plan for my life. None of that stuff matters.
None of that is how you get close to God.
Ephesians 3 says that we have confident access in Christ, in Him.
You've been accepted into the family of God based on what Jesus did for you
at the cross, and nothing can ever separate you from that.
Nothing can ever pull you out of that
because God's given you a way in and it's to his fellowship.
And it's called his grace. It's called the blood of Jesus.
When it covers you, you're righteous in God's eyes
and you can come boldly before the throne of grace.
Every time you need it, every time you need mercy,
every time you need help. And when is that?
Well, that's all the time. We always need help, right?
Because Jesus said, apart from me, you can do nothing.
And so we're able to walk and carry the glory of God
and hear the voice of the Holy Spirit as Christians.
And that's on a good day, and that's on a hard day, and it's on a bad day.
He never leaves us. He never forsakes us.
Jesus said, I'll be with you always, even to the end of the age.
So even when things look like the way they looked
when Enoch was walking on the earth, we can still walk with God. Why?
Because he's with us based on his grace.
And out of that place of abiding in him,
then we actually start to fulfill the things
and we're able to fully walk into the things he's called us to do.
And we're able to use the resources he's given us, the gifts and talents.
This is what God did for Enoch, is he actually takes him away. Why?
Because he saw that the same way that the intentions of man's heart
was all wicked all the time,
the intentions of Enoch's heart was just to walk with God, just to be with him.
And God said, I'm going to meet that request.
I'm going to give you what your heart truly wants.
And that's me. That's my presence.
Man, I hear the Lord saying that's what I'm asking my people to call out for today.
What does your heart truly want?
I just get I see a picture of somebody who is very gifted at singing
and all they wanted was to be on American Idol.
Or for their gift to be recognized.
But I hear the Lord saying, you know, and this is this is generally speaking
to all of us, but I just hear the Lord saying, take that gift that I've given you.
You want to see it reach its full capacity, its max fulfillment,
and lay it down at my feet.
You're going to see me do with that and the things I've given you
more than you could ever do on your own.
And the Lord saying you're going to reach ultimate fulfillment,
which is just Christ, just being in me.
This is 1 Corinthians 121 says, for since in the wisdom of God,
the world through its wisdom did not come to know God.
God was pleased through the foolishness of the message
preached to save those who believe.
It's not always the the biggest, the brightest, the most talented.
No, it's just those who carry the message of of Jesus.
Those who know him.
And sometimes it's humbling ourself and saying,
well, this doesn't seem like the the wisest way to do things,
but it is what God's leading me to do is God's way.
It's his spirit leading me.
And I'm going to walk with him.
Look at verse 26.
For consider your calling, brothers and sisters,
that there were not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty,
not many noble, but God has chosen the foolish things of the world
to shame the wise.
So if you say, well, I'm limited by my lack of ability or my lack of skill
or my lack of resources.
No, you're not.
Because with man, it is impossible, but not for God.
With God, all things are possible.
God can use anybody.
And he has a good plan.
He has a perfect plan for your life, no matter who you are,
no matter how skilled you are.
And just like in the book of Exodus, we see there is a man.
He had skill, right?
But the Holy Spirit also came upon him and gave him more than he
was capable of on his own.
God is able, through the power of his Holy Spirit, to come upon us and
do way more than we could ever think possible on our own.
Verse 30 says, but it is due to him that you are in Christ Jesus,
who became to us the wisdom from God and righteousness and
sanctification and redemption.
God has a redeemed version of your life that he wants to see play out.
And he has wisdom to give you, but it's due to him.
It's his grace.
It all comes back to his love and his mercy, his grace.
Look at Colossians 2.10.
When you start from this place, you can do anything that God calls you to do.
And there's nothing stopping you.
It says, and in him, meaning in Jesus, you have been made complete.
You've been made complete.
There's no list of accomplishments you have to perform.
There's no height you have to reach.
There's no proving yourself to anybody.
It's just, no, I'm in Christ today, and I'm gonna rest in that.
And abide with him, I'm gonna walk with him like Enoch did.
And I'm complete in him, because he is my wholeness.
He is my fulfillment.
And I just hear the Lord saying, I'm right here.
I'm ready to strengthen you for the days ahead, for
the work that I have called you to do.
Man, the Lord's saying, I have a good work for you.
I know the plans that I have for you, says the Lord.
Plans to prosper you, not to harm you, not for evil.
Plans to give you a future and a hope.
Man, the Lord's saying my word is working through my people, but
the major way in which it's working today is not through the accomplishments of man.
Not through the height to which man has arisen above his fellow believers,
but rather it's through the lowly, it's through the humble,
it's through those who are willing to come and rest in the joy that I've given them.
To just enjoy my presence, to just seek after me in that quiet place.
The Lord's saying my spirit's working, and it's through those who are willing to wait,
to sit, to see what I have, to say to them.
This is what the Lord's, the last thing he's giving me to say.
For those that are saying, well, I have a hard time getting there.
I have a hard time getting to that place.
I don't know how to hear the Lord's voice.
I hear the Lord saying, you don't need to know.
It's found in the joy of waiting with me.
Because when you wait upon the Lord, I'm right there with you, and
I'm waiting with you.
That's the way it's actually written.
And I've done some research on the psalmist saying, I waited upon the Lord.
And a lot of the original language, there are some times where it's translated,
I waited with the Lord.
So when you're waiting upon the Lord, you're waiting with the Lord,
you're walking with him, just like Enoch walked.
It's not a big, complicated thing.
It's not a show.
It's just a relationship.
It's just seeking him, just pursuing him,
just believing that you have access based on his grace.
I hear the Lord saying, I'm right here with you, and I'll show you the way.
You don't have to get worried and afraid and
caught up on all the little details along the way.
I can work those things out as I need to.
The Lord's saying, rest, wait.
Let me show you what I've already done for you and what I have for you to do.
And I'm gonna empower you to do it.
Do not be afraid.
The Lord's also shown me some people who are moving in circles
that the Lord is currently calling you out of.
And for some people, it's gonna be an immediate action that takes place.
For others, it's gonna take time to move on.
But the Lord's saying, let me show you the best place for you to be planted.
And I want you to be.
Don't leave that place.
Don't go into isolation, is what I hear the Lord saying.
Don't leave that place of connecting to the bride.
You need to be connected.
Cuz I have good things for you to do and good ways for
you to grow in that space of connection.
But I wanna show you where to be planted, where to connect.
And the Lord's saying, I have hope for you along the way.
Hopelessness has to be defeated when the joy of the Lord comes in.
In my presence, there's fullness of joy.
The Lord's saying, rejoice, be glad.
The king has come as a baby.
He's gonna come back.
It's gonna rain again.
He's making his bride ready.
Rejoice.
That's all the Lord's giving me to share.
I hope that's okay.
Please pray about this prophetic word and this word of knowledge, all this.
Take it to the Lord in prayer.
Let the Lord speak into it if he needs to.
And I love you all so much, and I'll see you next time.
