Spencer walks you through our 1972 Ford F250 Camper Special — the only truck in modern FFG history that isn't a customer's build. This is our shop truck, built by our team, for our team, and it's almost done.

This thing has been a long time coming. We found this truck through a connection between Jason and KC Mathieu of KC's Paint Shop — someone who knew them both threw them in a group chat and said first one there gets it. Jason won. It's a California truck with original boxwood green and Wimbledon white two-tone, original emblems, original trim, and just the right amount of patina to keep the character without looking neglected.

Under the hood is a 7.3 Godzilla paired to a Ford 10-speed automatic. This was actually one of the first Godzilla swaps in the country — we had the motor before Ford even released a control pack for it. Spencer breaks down the Holly intake and front drive kit, the Wizard aluminum dual brushless radiator, custom cold air intake, and the Boyd Welding aluminum fuel tank that replaced the original behind-the-seat setup.

Inside, we went with our signature interior kit in vinyl — and before you judge, this stuff looks and feels like distressed leather. Spencer walks through our shortened 30-inch steering column, the push button start kit, electronic E-brake, Retrosound head unit, Apex ultra square weave carpet, and all the little details like our 3D-printed sun visor clips and door cup inserts. He also breaks down how the door panels go together — Velcro inserts over aluminum backing so there's zero visible hardware. If you want this same look in your truck, our signature interior kits ship right to your door in a crate and install easy. The whole reason we call this the swag truck: every compartment in the camper shell is carpeted and bedlined so we can load it up with merch and parts and sell right out of the truck at events. The block party is this Friday, March 13th — the goal is to have this thing done and rolling by then. Hold us accountable.

Drop a comment and let us know what you'd do differently on a shop truck build like this.
