【Classical music and nature 古典音樂小站】Johann Sebastian Bach: Sonata for Harpsichord & Cello in D major, BWV 1029. The player of this beautiful piece is not listed. It has common licence (Public Domain Mark 1.0 Universal), and is provided through musopen.org.

Bach's music is characterised by its technical virtuosity, its profound musical expressiveness and its complex structure. He was a master of counterpoint and harmony and developed a unique musical language that combined elements of the Italian, French and German musical traditions. Bach's music is imbued with deep religiosity and reflects his personal spirituality.

Although dating Bach's three sonatas for viola da gamba and harpsichord has proven problematic for musicologists because only an autograph score of the first sonata (BWV 1027) has survived, there is now a general consensus that the pieces were composed in Leipzig sometime between the late 1730s and early 1740s.

The lovely mansion was filmed by Christian Schlegel in Switzerland. The video was edietd by Wenjing Ma.
