What if your home didn’t sit on the land… but hovered within it?

Forest House I, designed by Natalie Dionne Architecture, is a stunning elevated retreat hidden in the dense woods of East Bolton, Québec. Raised above rocky terrain and wrapped in Eastern white cedar, this minimalist residence blends seamlessly into the landscape, aging naturally with the forest around it.

Floor-to-ceiling glass walls dissolve the boundary between inside and outside, creating the sensation of floating among the treetops. Engineered black spruce structure, polished concrete floors, and warm wood interiors form a refined balance between raw nature and contemporary precision.

This is not just a house in the forest.
It’s a house of the forest.

If you love minimalist architecture, elevated homes, and immersive nature retreats, this project will completely change how you think about living in the wild.
