Designed by Studio Onu, Forest House is a small retreat located in Nowa Wieś Lęborska that sits within a landscape carefully cultivated by its owner over the course of 25 years. Rather than imposing a dominant structure on the site, the project responds to the evolving environment by using local materials, regional craftsmanship, and forms inspired by traditional Kashubian architecture. The 100-square-meter composition consists of two modest buildings that separate living space from maintenance functions, while the interior is organized around a central fireplace that acts as the heart of the home. With pine wood, locally made brick, and handcrafted details throughout, the house creates a quiet dialogue between architecture, landscape, and regional heritage.
