Hi everyone, my name is Janice. 3.3 pounds beef. Rinse the beef beforehand.
Now pat it dry using paper towels. Friends, I'm so happy you're on my channel. Today we're cooking
a very delicious dish. Watch this video till the end. I'm sure you'll love the result.
Before adding the spices, it's important to pat the beef dry with paper towels.
A dry surface browns better and the spices stick instead of sliding off.
Salt the beef well. Now add black pepper. Friends, let's get to know each other better.
What country, state, or city are you watching my videos from? Please write it in the comments.
I love looking at photos of your cities. It's so inspiring. Now add smoked paprika,
a little olive oil. Now rub the spices well into the beef. This is how we massage the meat.
Now turn each piece of beef over and repeat the whole process again. A little salt,
add black pepper to the beef, add smoked paprika. Spices bring out the natural flavor of beef
and make it richer and more aromatic. They add depth and character, turning simple meat
into a truly delicious dish. A little olive oil. Rub the spices into the beef again. Friends,
sometimes people ask me in the comments for exact amounts of spices, but I never measure them.
I always do it by eye. Try it and over time you'll be able to do the same. Set the meat
aside for 30 minutes so it can marinate well with the spices. Four to five potatoes,
cut into large pieces. I love potatoes and use them often in my dishes. Potatoes aren't just
a side dish. They're rich in potassium, vitamin C, and fiber, which support heart health and
digestion. Fun fact, potatoes actually contain more potassium than bananas,
and when cooked the right way, they keep you full and energized for a long time.
Add the potatoes. Add cold drinking water. Put the potatoes on the stove. A little salt.
Mix well. Cook until fully done for 20 minutes. Heat up a skillet. A little butter.
Did you know that butter is rich in vitamins A and D and enhances the flavor of dishes?
Fun fact, butter used to be considered a real luxury and a sign of wealth. Place the beef
into the skillet. Add three sprigs of rosemary. I love rosemary. Its aroma makes dishes more vibrant
and perfectly highlights the flavor of meat. Fry for seven to eight minutes on one side.
Now turn the meat to the other side. Fry for another seven to eight minutes on the other side.
One white onion, finely chopped. White onion is one of the most underrated vegetables.
It's rich in antioxidants and sulfur compounds that support the immune system and blood vessel
health. It can also help regulate blood sugar levels and improve digestion. Fun fact, in ancient
times, onions were seen as a symbol of strength and were eaten by pyramid builders to maintain
endurance. Remove the meat from the heat and let it rest. Leave the rosemary sprigs in the skillet.
Add the onion to the skillet. Mix well. Fry until golden. Oh my god, what an amazing aroma
of rosemary and onion. Three cloves of garlic, finely chopped. Garlic is a true natural antibiotic.
It helps fight bacteria, reduces inflammation, and supports heart and blood vessel health.
Regular garlic consumption may help lower blood pressure and cholesterol levels. A fascinating
fact, in ancient Rome, garlic was given to soldiers before battles because it was believed
to boost strength and courage. Add the garlic to the skillet.
Mix well and fry on all sides. I absolutely love the aroma of fried onions and garlic.
It instantly fills the kitchen with warmth and makes any dish irresistible. One carrot,
slice into half rings. Carrots are associated with good vision for a reason.
They're rich in beta-carotene, which the body converts into vitamin A,
supporting eye and skin health. When cooked, some of their nutrients are absorbed even better.
Did you know that carrots were originally purple and yellow and the familiar orange color
came later through selective breeding? Add the carrot to the other vegetables.
Mix well and fry on all sides. Two celery stalks, finely chopped. Celery is rich in fiber, vitamins,
and minerals, helping support digestion and overall health. When cooked with meat,
it enhances aroma, softens flavors, and adds a fresh, savory balance to the dish.
Add the celery to the skillet. Mix well. Fry all the vegetables together.
One bell pepper, finely chopped. Sweet bell peppers are true vitamin C champions.
They actually contain more vitamin C than lemons, especially red ones. They help strengthen the
immune system and support healthy skin. Fun fact, green, yellow, and red bell peppers are the same
vegetable, just at different stages of ripeness. Add the bell pepper to the other vegetables.
Mix well and fry everything together. One eggplant, cut into cubes. Eggplant isn't just
tasty. It's also great for heart health. It contains anthocyanins, powerful antioxidants
that help protect cells from damage. Eggplant may also help support healthy cholesterol levels.
Historically, eggplant was once considered dangerous in Europe and grown only as an
ornamental plant. Add the eggplant to the skillet. Mix all the vegetables together.
Fry on all sides. Two ripe tomatoes, cut into cubes. Tomatoes are a rich source of lycopene,
an antioxidant that helps protect the body from premature aging. Lycopene is especially
beneficial for heart health. Interestingly, lycopene is absorbed even better after cooking.
And fun fact, tomatoes were once thought to be poisonous and were grown only as decorative
plants. Add the tomatoes to the other vegetables. Look at these beautiful vegetable colors.
A little salt, a little black pepper, a little mixed herbs. Mix everything together again.
One bunch of cilantro, finely chopped. Cilantro is an herb with a bold, distinctive flavor.
It supports digestion, helps reduce bloating, and may aid the body in removing toxins.
Cilantro is also a source of vitamins A and K. Fun fact, cilantro has been used for thousands
of years, and its seeds have even been found in ancient tombs. Add the cilantro to the vegetables.
Mix well again. Remove from the heat. Prepare a baking dish. Add the stewed vegetables.
Place the beef on top. One and three quarters cups beef broth. I use a beef bouillon cube.
Now cover the vegetables and meat with foil. It's important to seal the foil very tightly.
Into a preheated oven for 2.5 hours. Check the potatoes for doneness. The potatoes are ready.
Remove from the heat. Prepare a deep bowl. Add the potatoes. Mash the potatoes with a regular
potato masher. This will take some time. A little butter. Mash the potatoes again with the masher.
Mashed potatoes became popular in Europe in the 18th century when potatoes started to be
widely used in cooking. They were created as a simple filling dish, and their delicious taste
comes from the creamy texture combined with butter and milk, which makes them comforting
and universally loved. Seven tablespoons warm milk. And mash again with the masher.
Look how beautiful and creamy this mashed potatoes turned out. Our osso buco beef is ready.
Remove the foil. Look at this beauty. And what an aroma, friends. I can't wait to try it.
