It's actually tiny in the weather center now.
If there's any good news in that seven day forecast,
it may be that whatever snow is on the ground right now
will probably melt before the next round.
I like how you look on the bright side of things.
Try to.
Absolutely, tomorrow temperature is up
into the upper 40s, but then they plunge for the weekend.
We have a winter storm on the way
and Sky Six taking a look
at Philadelphia International Airport.
I tell you, if you have a flight scheduled for Sunday,
I would rebook it and a lot of airlines are allowing you
to change your flights without any fees.
So that's the good news.
The reason why, of course,
because we do have a major winter storm on the way.
The focus is really on Sunday,
likely pushing in before daybreak on Sunday
and then through the day Sunday.
So part of the ingredients that we need,
we need a very thick, dense cold air.
And that's what we have with this Arctic high.
It wedges down, it's called cold air damming.
And this is what will provide all that snow,
the cold air for the snow.
Of course, the computer models,
there's always a little bit of a nuance
with the forecast track.
They are showing a major winter storm.
Just how far offshore it tracks depends on what we get.
The GFS shows mainly snow for the entire region.
The track is just enough far offshore
that we don't get any mixing.
The Euro, which typically handles winter storms
a lot better than the GFS,
is showing that low pressure tucked in a little bit closer.
So what that means, the entire area, it starts with snow.
Northwest of I-95, it's all snow.
But along I-95 south and east,
we do get some mixing in of sleep.
Probably at the end of the storm,
there's still plenty of time for that snow to pile up.
So what are we talking about?
We're talking about a major winter storm,
likely more than six inches.
The best chance of that happening
across really the heart of our viewing area,
but even areas farther away from the center of the storm,
Lehigh Valley and the Poconos,
and even areas where there will be some mixing,
still a 60% chance that you're gonna see
more than six inches of snow.
We still have a lot to iron out.
We will have an expected snowfall map tomorrow,
but at this point, it looks like the highest probability
for our area, about six to 10 inches of snow.
And that's an early call, so stay tuned on that.
Currently, Philadelphia, 38 degrees,
down from a high of 39, which is two degrees below average.
So there was some melting today.
Little bit of a breeze out there,
but the wind chills generally upper 20s, low 30s,
not nearly as brutal as the past couple of days.
Satellite and radar showing, speaking of snow,
some flurries possible tonight,
but that's from a warm front pushing in.
So we get a lot of clouds, possibility of a few flurries,
but temperatures really not dropping much at all.
34 degrees, the overnight low in Philadelphia,
that's close to 10 degrees warmer
than our afternoon high yesterday.
And tomorrow is the day to get outdoors.
49 degrees in the city, Allentown, 45,
Wilmington into the 50s, 52 degrees,
and Sea Isle City, 49, with sunshine,
some high thin clouds, lots of melting tomorrow
before, of course, we get the storm over the weekend.
Future tracker showing Friday,
39 degrees and temperatures near 40 on Friday,
but then that Arctic front blows in Cleveland,
that temperature, two degrees.
It's here for the weekend,
temperatures struggling to climb out of the teens,
and even next week, looking really cold.
So the exclusive accurate or seven-day forecast,
tomorrow, if you don't like the cold,
it's your pick of the week, 49 degrees, lots of sunshine.
On Friday, that wind picking up
with that Arctic boundary pushing through,
the high 40 degrees, Saturday's high.
We actually dropped this now to 19 degrees,
but it's a dry day on Saturday.
If you have anything to do, Saturday's going to be fine.
Sunday, we have the accurate alert.
That snow arriving before daybreak,
snowing all day long into the night,
little bit of mixing against south and east of I-95.
That high 20 degrees,
and get used to temperatures in the 20s, we are there.
Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday,
so anything that falls on Sunday
will not be melting by the middle of the week.
Of course, as I say all the time,
I'm getting in new information,
and I will be having an update on Action News
with more information at 11 o'clock.
Stay tuned.
We're devouring it as fast as you can.
Give it to us.
It's complicated.
Jesse, thanks so much.
