Chester County father pleaded guilty today in the murder of his 12-year-old daughter,
Randall Hoagland, admitted to his role in the death of Melinda inside of his home in Coatesville.
Prosecutors say his child was tortured for years and starved to death. She died in May 2024,
weighing only 50 pounds. Hoagland's guilty plea spares him the death penalty,
but he will spend the rest of his life behind bars. His girlfriend, Cindy Warren,
was also charged in the girl's death and is set to go on trial this spring.
