President Donald Trump on Thursday announced the outlines of a health care plan he wants Congress to take up as Republicans have faced increasing pressure to address rising health costs after lawmakers let subsidies expire.
President Trump is unveiling what he calls his great American or his great
health care plan I should say but critics say it's short on specifics.
Trump's plan calls for redirecting insurance subsidies into individual
health savings accounts which people could use to purchase health care
services directly. How exactly would this work and can the president assure
Americans that this will be enough to cover their health care costs? Congress
and the White House are going to work together to put this plan into action.

blasted the plan saying it took the president over a decade to come up with
