Sourdough Brownies Recipe
INGREDIENTS
• 2 cups (12 oz/340 g) bittersweet chocolate, chopped
• ½ cup (4 oz/115 g) unsalted butter
• ½ cup (2 oz/57 g) Dutch-processed cocoa powder
• 2 large eggs, room temperature
• 1 large egg yolk, room temperature
• 1 cup (8 oz/225 g) granulated sugar
• ½ cup (3 oz/85 g) dark brown sugar
• 1 teaspoon salt
• ½ cup (4 oz/115 g) sourdough starter discard
• 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
• ¾ cup plus 2 tablespoons (4⅓ oz/122 g) all-purpose flour
• ⅓ cup (2 oz/57 g) chopped chocolate, for topping
