It's not just your situation but how you're responding to it and talking to yourself about what you're going through and feeling. This isn't self-help where you just read a book. This is about experiencing life as it comes with the confidence that you have the tools to move through it.

Yo yo yo yo yo yo yo yo. Scott here.
Comfortable.
This video is for men who feel stuck.
Trust me, it's a good thing. I know.
Have you heard that before? That feeling
stuck is actually a good thing. You are
on the threshold of transformation.
Whoa.
I know it doesn't probably feel
exciting. It may feel actually pretty
scary and you have a lot of questions, a
lot of concerns.
This channel is for the threshold of
transformation, but really for those who
deal with self-doubt,
high inner criticism, negative self-t
talk, and we transform that into
self-compassion and self-confidence.
That's the transformation, and that's
the shift.
So when we feel stuck, there's a lot of
doubt that comes with that because
there's a lot of unknowns. There's a lot
of questions. Why am I feeling this way?
Why can't I make a decision? There's too
many options out there and I don't know
which path to go on. I don't know what
to choose. I'm tired of choosing. I'm
tired of fighting. When's this going to
get resolved? There's a whole bunch of
things when we feel stuck.
But no matter the reason why you're here
right now, it's important to acknowledge
that you are here.
It it actually relieves us a little bit
when we accept the situation for what it
is rather than what it could be and
should be. We wish it wasn't like this.
Those those thoughts can come for sure.
But to stop fighting the stuckness
and just accept that at this season of
our life, at this particular place where
I am right now, because it will not last
forever, nothing does. At this
particular moment in my life, I'm
feeling
blank.
So, let's go with the word stuck for
now. Let's talk about that because it's
really interesting language why we use
certain words during certain parts of
our life. And with this stuckness, I I
hope I can share just a few stories with
you that I've shared on this channel,
but not in detail, but I I hope it'll be
useful for you. I felt so stuck and I'm
putting a webinar together and I have a
video that I recorded of me in 2021.
I was so stuck, so lost, dealing with
severe pain, body pain, migraines. I had
a very restrictive diet. I lost a bunch
of weight. I was super depressed,
unbelievably anxious where I was so
anxious that I couldn't digest anything
but meat. The carnivore diet that I did
wasn't out of choice. It was it was out
of necessity. I felt so stuck and scared
that this would be my life forever.
and I couldn't see a future.
That's what's really hard when we feel
stuck as well. The future isn't revealed
to us. We can't see the path.
And if you know what I'm talking about,
I'd encourage you just let's listen
through because we can really talk this
out. And as I talk, I'm I'm reminded of
my own struggle through this.
It's really hard to trust ourselves at
this time.
It's really hard to be a friend to
ourselves at this time. [snorts]
It's really hard to give ourselves a
break at this time.
Because when we're stuck,
we're it's an inability to move.
That's what stuck is, right? If you've
been on your truck and just driving
through life and now you find yourself
stuck in the mud, what are your options?
I love metaphors for this stuff. You
know, Jesus always spoke in parables. I
kind of get it. I love metaphor. It's
the way we communicate so well and
through music and play and dance and
song. So, if you've been on your truck
or car for so long and you've been
living your life, and at certain
moments, for sure, it's been like, "Oh,
I'm slowing down. Okay, I I got I got
through again. Oh, the mud's a little
deeper. I got through." And then at this
point in your life, the mud's real deep
and you've been paused. You are stuck in
the car
and the mud's like, you know, up to the
wheel wells here. Oh, battery's dying.
Okay, I'll make this quick.
What do we do?
We can put it into high gear and just
try to push ourselves through. We might
damage the engine. We might blow it out.
Who knows? Okay. We can put into low
gear and maybe just really coast through
slowly and protect ourselves. Depending.
We can just stay totally still and we
can wait for the mud to even freeze.
Wait till winter and then blast through
when it's frozen. We can call a friend
to hitch us and pull us out as well.
Lot of options here. Lot of options.
Okay.
What's the best one? [laughter] What's
which one did I do for me and maybe for
you? And you can see if this resonates
with you.
It can really be all of them.
It can really be all of them all at
once.
You can test each and every one. You can
put it into high gear for a bit and push
for a moment while still times going by.
Winter's coming for the freeze. You can
still contact a buddy or support or me
if you need some help through this
transition. Okay? And you can still put
into low gear for most the time and
slowly trickle your way through.
But what's not possible is to push our
way into high gear for an extended
period of time through this
transformation. That's not what it's
calling for. That's not what it's
calling for.
I believe for in my life, it was calling
me to take an extremely
long pause. It didn't mean stop working.
It didn't mean all of that. It meant
look at my life with a bit of distance,
with a with a sense of compassion and
kindness. as a friend would look at my
life and give me advice. Can I give that
to myself? And can I really take my time
through this thing? Because these kinds
of stuck moments and transformations,
they're a big deal for a good reason
because
it's part of you growing. And think
about another uh metaphor for being
stuck. The truck analogy is cool, but
when you're stuck, it's like if you've
had this shell around you since you were
born, this barrier, and you're getting
in your 20s and 30s, and you finally,
you're like, "What the hell is this
thing?" You didn't notice it before
because it's been around you, and
there's been such distance. And now
you're like, "What the hell is this
thing?" You finally grow. It hits your
head. You're like, "What? I've been in a
balloon this entire time for 30 years.
What the what the And you're freaking
out a little bit. What this thing get me
out of here is like claustrophobic. Get
me out of here. Get me out of here.
And the more we push and we get tired of
fighting. We get so tired of pushing and
get this thing out of here. Get this
thing out of here.
What happens naturally
in nature too? You've seen birds out of
their out of their shells, out of the uh
out of the eggs and everything like
that. [snorts]
And the turtles too coming out of those.
Think of Jurassic Park when that raptor
comes out of the shell in the lab and
he's like, "Push, push, little fella.
Push." I hate that scene so much. Oh my
god. Like, just shut up. Let the raptor
do its thing. And for you, can you just
let nature take its course?
I know it seems so counterintuitive, and
that's the point. Can you let nature
take its course? Can you accept the
stuckness?
Keep growing the way you want. Keep
growing when it feels good. And and
growing. It's not just, oh, I've stacked
on so many good things about me and I
I'm bursting out with love and happiness
and that's why I'm stuck. Not
necessarily. It can be more
responsibility at work, more
responsibility at home. Okay. More
things to do during the day. not as much
free time, not as many things uh during
the day to do as I'd like to do. You
know what I mean? Maybe even more
self-doubt, more inner criticism. Yeah.
And the closer we get to that bubble and
that top, it seems to take up way more
space, which is a lot of time, all the
only voice you can hear is self-doubt
because it's in this tight space.
A transformation is here for you. It's
going to burst.
and you'll become someone new and
something fresh, born again.
The more I read the Gospels and the New
Testament in my life, it makes so much
sense to me, especially when I'm in deep
focusing and meditation and prayer. And
and it doesn't if if you're not
religious or you follow another
religion, that's great, too. But I'd
like you to just invite you to be kind
during this season
that good things are coming. And I'm not
just saying that like freaking Joel
Ostein, like it's your destiny. No. No.
But in my experience,
being gentle and kind to yourself,
taking things one moment, one day at a
time, doing what you got to do, taking
care of your body, taking care of your
mind, taking care of your spirit,
reaching out to friends, getting the job
done, having a good sleep, having good
meals, treating yourself. Oh, this is
making me this is making me feel good.
Um, and the video just canceled because
the battery died, but stay with me here.
You know, go a hug a tree. Enjoy nature.
I'm not going to say enjoy this season
of your life, but be there with it. Be
there with it. Be with yourself in
embrace during this season.
And and you know if it helps you, you
know, the spiritual piece is important
in my life. And I never want to force
this on anyone, but I got to tell you
through this, you're not alone in this.
You're not alone in this one. You never
are.
Embrace this transformation.
Embrace the stuckness. And you're going
to break loose. And if you want help and
some support in in going through this,
um, that's what my trans men's
transformation program is. It's taking a
step back and being in quiet for a
little while and practicing that
self-compassion,
retraining our voice to be kind to
ourselves rather than always beating
ourselves up during these times. So, if
that's interesting to you, um, link in
the description there. But
[sighs]
you got this. You really do.
