NASA ISS in Big Trouble! SpaceX's New Gravity Starship Space Station to Replace...
Would you like to live in a low-gravity or non-gravity environment, where you can truly float?
Well, many like this.
But if you live in this environment too often, it can lead to problems.
And if space exploration were open to everyone, how would the non-gravity factor be addressed?
That's what SpaceX has considered, and they've indeed put forward their boldest proposal to date: the Gravity Starship space station.
So, how would that space station be built and operated? How would it impact space exploration?
Let's find out on today's episode of Alpha Tech.

We all know the ISS is in its final years of operation. Replacement is necessary.
It's no longer a plan, but it is now an order. Recently, a White House executive order emphasized that the US must “spur a private sector initiative and a commercial pathway to replace the International Space Station by 2030”. Timely replacement is crucial because it will maintain a continuous US presence in space, ensuring a competitive advantage.
Right now, commercial private space station projects are underway, with Vast set to launch first in mid-next year, followed possibly by Axiom, Orbital Reef, and Starlab in subsequent years.
But did you know? The replacement is not only about the schedule, but it also requires groundbreaking improvements.
And while these commercial stations are focusing on improving internal systems, one element remains unresolved: non-gravity.

Firstly, we need to discuss the impact of this factor.
Non-gravity is an environment completely different from Earth, where we would no longer be subject to Earth's strong gravitational pull. All the laws of physics would change. Therefore, in terms of benefits, non-gravity would bring groundbreaking results in research. We can see Varda Space doing this continuously.
But in return, human life would be quite inconvenient. Most notably, daily life would be affected, as water would not flow as on Earth, making it impossible to use water for drinking, bathing, or using the toilet as usual. Special tools would be required, such as wet wipes, dry shampoo, vacuum-powered toilets, and fans.
