剑外忽传收蓟北，
初闻涕泪满衣裳。
却看妻子愁何在，
漫卷诗书喜欲狂。
白日放歌须纵酒，
青春作伴好还乡。
即从巴峡穿巫峡，
便下襄阳向洛阳。

From the outside of Jianmen Pass came news of victory in north of Jizhou,
I burst into tears that soak my clothes.
One look at my wife and children my heart lightens,
I pick up a book and begin to read with joy.
Singing in daytime calls for a cup of wine,
We shall travel home while spring weather lasts.
From Ba Gorge through Wu Gorge,
From Xiangyang straight to Luoyang.

The concert "Echoes of Ancient Tang Poems" was jointly performed by iSING! Suzhou and the Philadelphia Orchestra, which premiered in Philadelphia on Jan 6 and was held in New York on Jan 7. Fifteen singers from 10 countries led by Liao Guomin, a conductor from Macau, interpreted newly composed songs based on well-known poems from the Tang Dynasty (618-907).
