This mall opened in 1969 and bustles to this day! It used to have a Strauss, Kaufmanns, Montgomery Ward, Sears and Toys R Us. Now it has JcP, Target, Macys and Boscovs! I counted 10 empty storefronts, but I consider this mall to still thrive. They have an Event Centre on one wing replacing an anchor and a Dave And Busters on the other, which is obvious they are eager to fill any vacancies quickly.
Hey guys, before I begin my next video,
I want to thank my latest donors, Winter
Burden, Sterling Wheel, Jay Reagan,
Brandon, and Super Buick Regal. Thank
you guys so much for your donations.
That really helps the channel. If you
would like a shout out for a donation,
you can go to Cash App Lid Wetszel. It's
one word. You can go to my PayPal, which
is linked in my bio, or you can send a
super chat. And with that being said,
enjoy the video. I'm here at the
Eastwood Mall in Niles,
Ohio. I've been to this place several
times, but I've never filmed it. I don't
know what it was like back in the day.
But,
um, in recent times, it's still a good
mall. So, let's go walk around and see.
our directory. We got Target, J C
Penney, Dave and
Busters with a new thing coming
soon. That was the former
Dillards. I did a video on that. Former
Dillards and then Macy's and Boscops.
This mall opened in
1969 and I think it does pretty
good. So, there's the food
court pizza.
Um, some kind of pizza. Um, Subway,
Charlie's Philly Steaks, Asian
Chow. Got these neon lights up here.
I mean, I guess they're not neon.
Japanese claw machines.
[Music]
Oh, there's also a Nile's police um food
court. uh space right there, but you
can't see it
really. And then they got it upstairs,
but you can't really go upstairs. And if
you try, they might yell at you. You've
been
warned. They have aquariums here, too.
I think that's a
starfish. That little clown fish is
[Music]
adorable. And then they have the Dory
fish from Finding Nemo in here, but I
don't know where it went.
must be hiding. All right, guys. We're
in the Macy's in Eastwood Mall. I wanted
you to see the top floor because it's
very barren. It almost looks abandoned
in some places. So, let's go check it
out. So, this is the side that actually
has stuff in it. But, if you turn
around, here's the
clearance. And like these red tables
like after they
stop. Look at this. You would think that
you were
in an abandoned
Macy's. I worry about this Macy's
because of
that.
But I don't know. Eastwood Mall is is
good. Check this
out. I wonder what section this used to
be. Look at this old fitting
room. I mean, there's no clothes up
here.
[Music]
So obviously assuming there used to be
they just got home stuff but like it
doesn't even take up the whole
upstairs. Here we have Manny Quowo.
Hello.
Pure comfort. Wow.
Freaking is an amazing bed review.
Wow, that's so freaking Okay, I have
gone up these stairs before, but the
last time I tried, I got yelled
at. There's an army recruiting center up
there. Um, so you could just say that
you're going to the recruiting center,
but for some reason they don't want you
up
there because I guess they got a
business center up there.
But I remember when I first came here a
few years ago, I thought that this mall
was going to have two floors, but it
just is that the second floor has got
like offices or something in it, which
kind of sucks. But it's still a nice
mall,
though. I think this would be our main
center area.
The skylights are kind of plain here,
but yeah, they got that upper
floor. Well, this actually fake over
here, but they got an upper floor look
kind of going throughout the mall, but
there is an actually uh second floor
over
there. And they got Easter displays and
stuff. This place is pretty good about,
you know, the holidays. And it's a
pretty active mall.
And then they got the big aquarium over
here. This is probably what this mall is
best known for, the aquarium.
How people leave their
trash. Look at this fish.
[Music]
If there is magic on this planet, it is
contained in water.
There's the stingrays. Yes.
Love these guys.
Do you see that back there? It's like a
shark.
I'm sure.
Hey, come here. I want to pick you up
and show you.
The floor's got stuff on it, too.
Just
Oh, wow. That guy's
awesome. I think they do a really nice
job with this
aquarium. Reminds me of Summit Mall with
the windows on top there.
There's two Macy's
entrances. Oh, check this guy out.
an advertisement for Kalahari
Resorts, which isn't even near here, but
I
think I think this has something to do
with
um Kafaro, who owns this mall, cuz why
else would this be here?
We got the local radio station.
[Music]
I mean, not really any empty storefronts
that I've seen other than the Niles
police that was taking over the one food
court
spot.
Another way to get upstairs.
[Music]
Oh, empty storefront.
[Music]
Huh.
Some food spaces over here.
I think this place does better than
Southern Park Mall. I think it's a much
nicer mall than Southern Park Mall.
Are
you going to go?
[Music]
Oh my god.
[Music]
Yeah, this is a pretty good mall.
I've only counted two empty
storefronts
and I've only I mean I've filmed
almost most of the mall by now. I got
one more wing after this to film. This
is the Penny's wing. Pennies is
uh still open. That's amazing.
Oh, there is an empty front. So, that's
three I've
[Music]
counted.
Four, but there's janitor stuff over
there.
advertisement for the Grand Resort.
[Music]
This Altabelli owns like the whole
county.
You spent two hours.
[Music]
Five,
six.
Here's your seating area where you can
watch some TV.
This mall has a community feel to it.
Even
though it does well, you still get that
sense of community kind of small town
vibe. And this is the Target wing.
This sort of reminds
me. This might be another empty
storefront. So,
seven. This Target wing reminds me of a
Walmart wing from
um Parma Town Mall.
The Mona
Lisa mosaic.
It's our target wing.
[Music]
[Music]
I don't see anything about filming. Oh,
wait. Yes, I do. The mall may generate
media, including photos and video that
instantly includes patrons. The mall
reserves the
right. Portions
of these premises may be monitored.
Well, they didn't say I couldn't film,
though.
[Music]
See, they're saying video surveillance.
Here's the Mona Lisa up close. I think
this is really
cool because these are all individually
awesome looking and
together just what they make is just
awesome. I remember I did a project like
this in high school.
that
[Music]
Never. And this is the last wing. This
is the David Busters
wing, which should have stayed at
Dillards.
Where you at?
8
9
10 empty
storefronts. I have filmed this before.
I filmed this event center
before, which is blocked off right now
cuz I think they actually have an event
in
there. And
uh these silly
people. Oh my goodness. All right, and
that will complete my tour at the
Eastwood Mall. I hope you guys enjoyed
it and I will see you on the next video.
