DEAD MALL - Lansing Mall - Lansing, Michigan

Hey guys, I'm in Lansing, Michigan at the Lansing Mall. They opened in 1969. Former anchor stores, it's a big list, get ready. Montgomery Ward, Federals, Wurzburgs, JW Knapp Company, Robert Hall Village, Hudson's, Marshall Fields, Macy's, Mervin's, Yonkers, and Regal Entertainment. The current anchors are JCPenney, Dunham Sports, Barnes & Noble, Zappos, Regal Cinema, and Best Furniture. So I see a lot of empty spaces. I don't know. It seems like it's going to be a little bit of a dead mall at least. But we're going to find out. So yeah, let's go walk around and see what we can find. Check out the devastation. You can already see it. It looks dated. There's that Best Furniture on there. The Lansing Mall. And I'm seeing a good impression already of a nice young lady. Her apartment is small, incredible, and right-of-way, right-of-way. This has a nice old feel to it, very nice old feel. Hooli Hands, that's a, that's a closed store. Look at that, look at that. You should have that as a fountain, that would be a genius fountain. I like this, this is an old one. This definitely has an old feel to it. That has an old school feel. That is freaking crazy. It's got an old, old feel. Yeah, it is like an old school feel. It's like, uh, it feels really, uh, it feels really... Old feeling. Yeah. I don't like it. Wow, look at that. Look at that. It's freaking awesome. Oh, wow. Look at this sign. I love it. Do you see a penny? Thank you. Wow. This is amazing. Thank you. This is definitely like a more... I think I would probably call this a dead mall. It sort of seems like it had a redesign, maybe in the 90s. Yeah, look at that. There it is. Looks like Beaver, I don't know, not exactly but I think it's uh lights but it sort of reminded me of a Beaver Valley Mall, PA. Wow, holy, and they decorated it. It looks like chlorine. Very cool. Ain't that awesome? That's amazing. That is amazing. This is going down. Let's see if I can carry this. What's this? I'm getting good vibes from this place. I'm getting good vibes here. I like this stained glass. That is so cool. Any history lessons? Or you don't really put those in? If you guys want me to start putting the history lessons in, let me know because I can. We'll get the 2027 iMac. I'm not the person I'm going to have. Are these real? No, that's fake. But the tree's real. Well, I'm glad. Uh-oh. Beaver Valley has this. Doesn't that remind you of that? I think they got trees like this, too. Guys, if you ever go to a cell repair kiosk, be aware they might scam you. I'm pretty sure I got scammed at one of those places before. Long story. Mmm, smells like a pretzel. Look at those trees. This is nice. Sweet city. Ready? JCPenney. Look at these old jewelry stores. Oh, those are some big trees. Wow. I've never seen eclairs looking like that before. Look at this big empty kiosk. This is probably like a mall management. I don't know. So, Barnes & Noble, Dunham's. There's the Zap Zone. I think that must have been like a Sears or something. Look at this out. Ever saw anything like that? I remember the Gloria Jeans ones from a long time ago. That's a nice mural, too. Paper Birds. Oh, this is a dead food court. Hmm, check out these stickers. Thank you. Thank you. A chalkboard with no chalk. How am I going to express myself with no chalk? Here's Checkers. Regal Stadium 12. That looks very nice. Look at that. You get a zip like a focus on it. Ewww. There's the alien from Spirit. Look at this mural. All right, guys, now we'll complete my look at the Lansing Mall here in Lansing, Michigan. I really like this mall. I feel like it's got a 90s vibe, even though it opened in 69. Let me know if you know, like, when it was redesigned or anything. Yeah, and I'll catch you guys on the next video.
