A compilation of all the rockfish and salmon we bagged in Haida Gwaii. On July 29th, we were actually on the water fishing when an earthquake hit Russia and there was a tsunami warning for the north coast of Haida Gwaii (See below). The safest place to be in a tsunami is actually on the water, so at least we had that going for us. When the wave ended up reaching us, it was only about 12 inches high which was a bit of a relief. This was my first trip where I caught a decent kelp greenling and giant bocaccio, too. Our trip is already booked for next year and my goal is to break a 50+ lb lingcod. Hope you guys enjoy!

The July 29, 2025, M8.8 earthquake east of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, Russia, occurred as the result of shallow reverse faulting. At the location of this earthquake, the Pacific plate is moving west-northwest with respect to the North America plate at about 80 mm/yr.
