Catching fish in Destin’s Red Tide - Choctawhatchee Bay Redfish and Trout. This video is from Late October. The redtide was horrible on the gulf side of Santa Rosa beach so I decided to hit the bay even though the red tide was reported coming into the bay too. As the sun started rising I could see dead fish floating in all directions, I decided my best bet to find some fish was gonna be to head further back in the bay towards the back where the rivers flow in. I was throwing some soft plastics(keitech paddle tails) with just a hook and no weight. For a normal day fishing I would have considered the day a success, but with the red tide factored in it was an excellent day. Thanks for watching and I hope you enjoy the video.
