Aldershot Station: When One Project Becomes Many
This was supposed to be a simple project. I set out to build passenger platforms for Aldershot Station — my main departure point in Burlington, Ontario, where VIA Rail, GO Transit, and Amtrak’s Maple Leaf meet CN’s freight operations.
But projects rarely stay in their lane. What began with laser-cut platforms and roof details turned into lighting challenges, new retaining walls, rock faces, and even plans for graffiti. One thing led to another, and suddenly I wasn’t just working on a station — I was reshaping whole sections of the layout.
This video is a snapshot of that moment in time: when one project becomes many.
Thanks, Aldershot.
