Hi everybody, it's Shasha with Action
News's fitness tip. I'm at the AB
apartments in King of Prussia. Grab some
dumbbells. We're going to get these legs
stronger and more toned. And this
exercise will do just that. So staggered
squat, reverse lunge. We're working one
side of the body at a time. So I'm going
to just focus on my right leg only. What
I do on the right leg, obviously we
switch and do the left leg. Rep range 12
to 15 on each side. You want to aim for
about three sets total, okay? Taking
your time, keeping your core engaged,
proper form always. You ready? Let's do
it together. So, listen. This left leg,
we're going to work the right leg first.
It's just like a little kickstand. I'm
not putting any body weight really into
that back foot. Just everything drives
through this right leg. Hinging forward
slightly, keeping that core engaged. I'm
going to little staggered squat, right?
So, I'm like dropping my butt behind my
kneecap. Then I'm going to come back
into a reverse lunge. So little
staggered squat, reverse lunge. Taking
my time, making sure my right knee is
not going over my toes. Keeping form,
keeping the core engaged. And you are
really going to feel this in that right
leg, right? We feel it in the quad. We
feel it in the glute, even the inner
thigh. Everything is activated here. And
what this does essentially instead of
just a regular reverse lunge is adding
that little staggered squat here just
intensifies it a little bit. What we do
on the right, we do on the left. Keep
that core tight. And I know those legs
are going to feel it.
