How to make Shiso side dishes x4 〜紫蘇の副菜四種〜 | easy Japanese home cooking recipe
In this video, I am showing how to make four side dishes using Shiso leaves. Shiso (Japanese perilla) is a common Japanese herb that is used very often in Japanese cooking.
In my Channel, I show step by step of alternative but authentic Japanese home cooking, which can be made with the ingredients that are easily available outside of Japan.
Ingredients for side dishes with Shiso leaves
Marinated Shiso leaves
- Garlic 1/2 clove
- Soy sauce 1 Tbsp
- Sugar 1 Tsp
- Sesame seeds 1/2 Tsp
- Sesame oil 1 Tsp
- Chilli pepper (optional)
- Shiso leaves 10-20
Shiso rolled chicken
- Chicken tenders 4 strips
- Garlic 1 clove
- Soy sauce 1 Tbsp
- Sugar 1 Tsp
- Umeboshi 2-3
- Shiso leaves 8-10
- Flour 1 Tbsp
Shiso leaves Tempura
- Shiso leaves 5-10
- Flour 100 g
- Egg 1/2
- Baking powder 1/4 Tsp
- Water 1/2 Cup
Shiso dressing
- Shiso leaves 5-7
- Ginger 5 g
- Soy sauce 2 Tbsp
- Sugar 1 Tsp
- Vinegar 1 Tbsp
- Sesame seeds 1 Tbsp
- Sesame oil 2 Tbsp
